DTM - Assigned car league - Sundays 8pm GMT

I think all these cars hate front tires. Lol. Having skid force turned on makes it so you can throw the car into every corner, which destroys the front tires. I had fun testing on Sunday. Hopefully these tests are making progress toward the series. Or maybe it's making it more of a nightmare for Homes. I posted some pics of our Autumn Ring test on my GT profile, check them out if you get a chance.

Jeezzzz Sass...those pics are awesome.

How do you all do that, get such good pics, if I take some pics off the replays, its always blurred???

Thx man. You kinds have to know how a camera works. Aperture and stuff. You can do some really cool stuff with it.

Nice pics Sassa 👍

@driver - press the square button just before you take the photo. It focuses the camera. Also, adjust the apeture speed when taking pics of fast moving cars, to reduce motion blur 👍

Hey Homie...buddy o'pal....

Are we starting this Sunday?

Who's driving what and what track?

I love to practice with a target of whats coming up.....let us know.

Jeez I hope my Playstation still works when I put her on....... but ja it would be great to know what track we're racing on........ if we're racing this Sunday???

Its a bit off topic but scale weres theese photos
P.s hats off too homes for the most amount pre season testing resulting in an unclear picture

It is virtually impossible to make things even, but hats off to Homes for trying. The point of the whole exercise was to create close racing and I think we have succeeded. We must be careful not to make it lob sided in the opposite direction and have the slower guys winning week in and week out. But either way I think Homes has done well!
The only thing we need to work on is the bumping during the race. It's like a stock car derby out there and that's gonna change for the championship!!!
Golden rule...... if you touch a guy in any way and he leaves the track or loses a position to you or gets a penalty, YOU MUST STOP OR SLOW DOWN AND ALLOW HIM BACK THRU, or you will be getting a penalty after the race. The 3 stewards are going to be harsh in handing out penalties in order to make the racing fair for everyone. Everyone makes mistakes, but if you do bump someone then you must allow him back thru, even if you lose heaps of time, because you have caused him to lose heaps of time. And as far as I can see we still have guys bashing and smashing there way thru..... that's not realistic and that's not racing! BE CLEAN OR BE PENALIZED...... it's your choice ;)

Sorry, I meant to post the rest of the details last night but was too busy to finish, so i will do it today.

Yes, testing has thrown up just as many questions as answers. We have been surprised by some peoples quali pace, which doesn't always translate into finishing positions in the races and the fact that there has been quite a bit of bumping and bashing in the actual races has really scewed the results. Also, some guys have not been anywhere near the pace we know they usually drive in actual championship races... But I think the basic recipe is just about right, except for a few minor tweaks:
- Scale I think you should drive at 590pp and in the A4.
- Will, you need to get the Astra.

As long as we all accept that certain cars WILL be faster on some tracks (eg: the CLK and M3 at Monza) and that 'one-off' races like that don't mean we need to re-adjust the car/pp/driver settings based on one event.

As Canu says - 3 race stewards for this series and because of the 'closeness' on track we are going to have to crack down heavily on unfair driving, so make sure you line up your passes neatly and pull out of them if you are not very, very sure you are going to get by cleanly.

OK, I am off to start work on the rest of the OP.

BTW - first race is at High Speed Ring ;)

Great OP Homes....or should i say...ecclestone? ;-)

Looking forward to the races. Anyone going online tonight and drive some laps ?

Grtz

By the way Homes.....my user name on PS is rikkos187....:-)

homes, i dont want to run A4 :( otherwise my tune has been for nothing. i would happily drop down to 590pp in TT, but i'd rather not drive A4. ill give it a shot on sunday, but if not can i change back to TT?? AND dont forget, i was NOT near front in quali, most of time i started 4th or 5th. Im just more concesdent in lap times etc...

And will i gave up with the photos, im really bad with computers lol (even no i am one, which doesnt make much sense :/ )

I am totally cool with Scale running the TT on 595pp, the same as me and Canu.

We race well together and it would be great if the three of us were in the same car with the same PP.

Scale96
And will i gave up with the photos, im really bad with computers lol (even no i am one, which doesnt make much sense :/ )

Im going to do well bad i cant tune cars to save my life on gt5
And why no nordshceilfe they even raced it in the 90's

I am happy that the long Nurb Nordschitter is left out. I have yet to see a good clean race there, I have tried on plenty occasions in open lounges, and I have never come across a close race.

The narrow track and elevation changes at speed, along with the length just doesn't add its self to good close competitive racing. I think its more of a personal circuit, race against the clock scenario.

@scale - I have no problem with you driving the TT at 595pp, but lets say that if you start to dominate the series, then you will get asked to demote yourself to the TT at 590 and same goes for canu and driver?

@ALL - This would mean that the A4 is redundant... So how about we make the A4 available as an otion to the Rubens Berger Group as an option at 615pp???

@will - I will give you my Astra tune. It's not brilliant but it is better than the stock tune... and I agree with driver that Nordshliefe creates huge seperation between the cars and usually leads to boring races. I would love to do Spa, but I don't think Petrol has it...

Me dominate? All I want to do is beat Scale :)
But seriously I've hardly got time to even put my PS3 on, so I'm gonna be rusty as an old beetle;)
