Afternoon, always been a follower of this site and sure some of you recall that times were an issue for me.

However, I should be able to race tonight. My problem is that although I have all the DTM's, I only have one that is (semi) tuned to my liking.

I'm going to try and get on early to do some testing and with all being well, I will be racing with you guys.

Please bear in mind though that this will be my first race. I always race as clean as possible but apologise in advance if I cause any incidents. It will of course be purely accidental if that happens.

Just remember, when u get a slipstream, break earlier than your normal brake point and you will be just fine.

Hi guys, I'm back from my holiday. I read you had 'some' connection issues last week It's no problem for me to host tonight. I believe the Monza race was quite good for all of us when I hosted it with a fixed room. JT, let me know if that's the way we do it tonight!

Yes if you can do a fixed room that would be good. We have hurameshy who has a good connection to if we have any problems. Very little lag in the last race using his connection.

I will try to be online very early as I haven't raced for a week and Grand Valley East is not the track I race regularly... 1.00.0xx must be the target time I understand

Good to have you back. 👍 Last night Goruk did a 59.560 (i think) and was regularly under 1 min. I was getting close to 1:00.5xx regularly if i didn't spin off on turn 1. I did manage a sub 1min lap after using goruks draft at the end of a lap. This got me thinking that if i can stay within 1 second of the car infront then i might be able to catch them up on the pit straight.

Welcome to the DTM Knelly 👍 Hope to see you tonight. Remember also that the Max Power is 502BHP so you can turbo your ride and limit the engine. Keeping it clean through the 1st corner is a big challenge in this track. Good luck.

Its something to do with my router.

Last night i connected fine with Goruk and Godoias (whom i usually have probs with) using my 3G internet dongle. Problem is that i only get 1meg download with that as apposed to the 4meg i get with my router, so i get a bit of lag with it. The router also works fine when i connect to someone else's fixed room.

Anyone know what could be the problem with my router? I dont want to have to use the 3G dongle as it tends to disconnect randomly.

So... how did the NA race go? We had quite a race on GVE although it was spoiled for some of us due to one very laggy guy. I will watch the replay and see if I can make some nice pictures.

Don't have access to my own computer so can get a nice race banner with circuit map and flag etc. Sorry.

Laps are about 1:20.xxx so 45 laps should be about right for 1 hour races. Wont be there this week but will be back for race 10 @ GP/F.
I'll need someone to do the EU hosting again. SymP's worked well again for race 8 if he is available for race 9.

I think we may have lost the interest from the NA series unfortunatly. May have to just concentrate on EU as the overall unless the NA guys can get results for the last 3 races to me (or posted to this forum) soon.

That's pretty disappointing news you got there! Didn't realize that but I thought it was awfully quiet here... There goes my hope for a fuller grid for the next series

We'll have to find out why we can't get more people interested for this championship... Is the format wrong? Are there too many races? Are the races too long? Are the cars not interesting enough? Pretty much the questions and suggestions that are being discussed in the group forum

Hate to see this championship fade away because I really enjoy the races!

I got my pace car all buffed, waxed and ready to go.

I just kicked out my roommate and he's in the process of moving this morning.

Hopefully he can be out by 3pm EST. If he's done early enough, I might join with my Vauxhall and race with you guys. If not, I'll try and make it in for the pace car.

Message to whoever's hosting:

turn off voice chat, drivers don't speak to each other on the race track...

don't put the race quality setting too high, these aren't premium cars anyways (except for the pace cars... lol)

it should help with the connection quality 👍

Message to the racers:

keep your distances and forget about heating up the tyres during the pace lap, it only seems to create incidents, lag and use up the tyres instead of warming them up!

Butt more importan than speed is keeping off the walls...

The race was a bit boring having only 4 drivers in the race. After 10 laps everybody had his own place on the track. No exciting overtaking and no real accidents. I'm glad we've had this cause i'm no big fan of city circuits.

Unfortunately it looks like it was my last race of this series because i'm busy the next two weekends but i'll join you guys for some practise during the week.

And offcourse I'll be there when DTM2 starts! 👍👍👍👍

Sorry guys, I'm done with this serie. Even if we were only 4 guys to race this weekend, i was decided to race but i have disconnected after 30 laps. I mean I get so annoyed always hearing people chat during the race. I learned 2 weeks ago that i must mute all people before the race and even if everyone is muted, there's always a friend coming in the loudge and start to talk during the entire race. And when they dont talk, i can hear them eat... not very exciting at all. Same story weeks after weeks...
