I'm in of course! Although I'm afraid I won't be able to join the last few races :/

Edit:
Great that you decided to stay in pipi! 👍

JT are you going to get a vote going on the tracks think spa should be in there :)

Yes Spa will be an option. However we may have to have a discussion about it as not everyone will be able to practice on it. Unless they buy it as the DLC. More info tomorrow.

JT I'm quite happy to make a practice room for those who don't have it, If they let me know the time the wish to practice in advance should be no problem making a room for them. Also I'm sure we'll have practice sessions through out the week.

Are you guys still planning to race on Tuesdays for season V? I'd like to get in, but it would only be possible for me on weekends.

Tuesdays 8:30pm GMT Qualifying, 9:00pm GMT Race.

Cant do weekends unfortunatly. There was another DTM series that was being setup for a weekend. Dont know if it is still going or not.

The 2 'Tours' with the most votes at 11pm GMT on Tuesday 8th of November will form the DTM V Championship. Special Stage venue will be decided after the vote has ended. If 2 tours are picked with the same track then it will be replaced with another, single, track.

Weather Races

As you will probably notice, most tours have (weather). This will be a new feature in DTM and will work as follows:

1. All (weather) races will start with 0% surface water.

2. Weather Changeability will be selected based on 'Chance of Precip.' from the actual place from www.uk.weather.com (click to see example of tomorrow at Spa)
0% = 0, 10% = 1, 20% = 2 etc.

3. Weather at Race Start will be selected based on 'Forecast' from the actual place from www.uk.weather.com (click to see example of tomorrow at Spa)
Sunny = 0%, Partly Cloudy = 25%, Cloudy = 50%, Showers = 75%, Rain = 100%

4. During (weather) races pit windows and tyre sellections are still to be used until;

4.1 Surface Water reaches 25%. If this happens at any time during the race then all pit windows, not already fully completed, are no longer required. The pits are open until the end of the race to change to any tyres, at any time, even when surface water returns to less than 25%. You will not have to use all 3 tyre compounds.

This is obviously in a very experimental stage for this season. I want to do a test run for the pre-season race(s) so that we can iron out any kinks. If it doesnt work then we will race the weather races without the weather...But i'd like to give it a go.

Great work again JT! 👍 Like the tour track selection format and like the weather idea! 👍

Will try to update the site for DTM V as soon as we have a winner tonight!

For the DTM veterans: if not already done so, please register here also to claim your car for DTM V!

TT-R for me please :) , weather should add some drama to the action if there wasn't enough already :P

A4 or CLK for me this season. The only 2 that i havnt used yet.

Any more ideas on adding a team? Was thinking of one of the dlc touring cars. Do any fit our spec?

^^ Yeah, you can have mine! Remind me to give you the keys tonight :drool:

^ what about that D in DTM then?

What we have to give a little more thought is the following:

The CLK can have more downforce than the other cars. That's why we have the extra regulation of 598 PP as a maximum to force the CLK to reduce their downforce. But as soon as a CLK receives penalty weight (PP gets lowered) you can increase the downforce again and still meet the max PP regulation. This way the CLK has still an advantage.

So what about a maximum PP regulation only? And instead of a weight penalty a PP penalty?

PP penalty is a good idea, I would still have some sort of weight and BHP regulation but allow I little room for movement ie ( 1120kg min weight 483bhp ) so if you add and extra 10bhp you'll have to add weight or take off Downforce to come under PP Limit. You would need to check all the cars PP at 1120kg 473bhp 35/60 DF stage 2 turbo and do PP checks before qualifying then change the regs to 1120kg 483Bhp.

Hey JT, there's some tracks that are in more than one tour, so if the two more voted tours have the same track how we will manage that?

Do you mean anything like this????? :P
