I think the results have been done. Symp has updated the standings and race 2 results in the dropbox. I imagine they will be posted soon.

the dropbox the where symp and myself put all the GT5DTM files so we can both work on them before publishing. Although i have not been pulling my weight of late and all credit must go to symp for all of this seasons data/graphics etc.

Yes you did, i remember now. I looked opened it and then i had to do something and completely forgot about it, sorry. I see it now. Yes i agree with what you said. On the 1st point he should stickm with the car used in his 1st race. Only top 2 cars score team points anyway.
On the 2nd point, no penalty as they in effect did a stop and go penalty during the race. Rule needs to be adjusted though.

5.12.5.[Rule Update] If there is major lag problems. We always have lag (its DTM tradition) but if someone is jumping all over the place causing chaos then restart. (in formation lap or 1st lap of grid start race) |
6.7.1.1 - Incorrectly changing tyres during pit window.
For eg. Changing from Meds to Meds instead of Hards during pit window. You must change a different compound at next oppertunity.
If still within pit window - No penalty
If outside pit window +1 lap - No penalty (equivilant to 10 seconds stop and go)
If outside pit window +2 laps - 10 second penalty
If outside pit window +3 or more - DQF
This was on that was supposed to be added before start of season but since the season has started any objections, before 1st of October, will delay its addition until DTM

Results and Standings Race 2
First of all, about the hosting of last race. In the last minute we decided to make the connection non-fixed. I don't know exactly why we did that but I'm afraid that was one of the main reasons why the slower connections (mainly JT) lagged enormously and took out half of the field in the first sector. If we would have had a formation lap we could have noticed that in time. But now I didn't realize it was that bad until I watched the replay. The other frustration was that a lot of people had to drive with full damage almost the complete track to the pit which took ages. So I propose not to include these long tracks in the series anymore but I think most of us already agreed on this...
One other thing that went wrong is that I forgot to set the finish delay time to the maximum so only the first 2 reached the finish and set a time. It may have made a difference for some position in the last lap I'm afraid. My mistake and I'm sorry for that!
The good news (especially for me
) is that it seems we have found a new host. I don't know how the test went last week but it looks like the internet connection of djdaveyp85 is much better than mine!
Now about the race...
madmaxisr - Banned for season for persistent rule breaking
Besides the fact that madmaxisr did not use all tyre compounds in the race there were several situations during qualification and the race that proved that madmaxisr did not respect the rules & regulations of the series. Without going farther into detail it is decided that madmaxisr is not welcome anymore and therefore banned from the series. It's a pity and the first time these kind of sanctions have to be taken.
Because of this, from now on, all new drivers that have not participated to the GT5 DTM Series before have to prove first that they are clean drivers, gentlemen and intend to drive a fair race before they can participate in the series.
Goruk77/Godoias
I dont know how but both Goruk and Godoias made the exact same mistake by not changing their tyre compound in the last lap of pit window 2 (L12). They both rectified their mistake in the next lap (L13), outside the pit window though. There's been a discussion about this if rule 6.7.1 (changing compound outside the window) or 6.7.2 (changing to the wrong compound combination) should be applied here. As it looks like there's clearly been made a mistake (they didn't gain any time by this action, on the contrary) it's decided that no additional time penalty will be added. Also, rule 6.7.1 will be adjusted for future races.

If you did still want those long tracks, well I remember reading a race series where rather than do an enitre pace lap, they did about half or so of the lap. At La Sarthe, you could of done a rolling start where you go green when you get onto the Mulsanner Straight. At one point, there is a sign post on the left which can be used as the start point.

Also, to make it easier for the Race Steward to review a reported incident is the following:
- Name the lap and time of the incident
- Describe the situation
- Name the rule(s) (from DTM rules or GTP OLR) that you think is broken by the driver
Yeah I understand, being a steward myself I do realise how time-consuming it can be to go through hours of replay footage looking for incidents, let's just hope PD add a Rewind feature as well 👍
I didn't PM as I thought the report would be enough, but I'll make sure to PM one of you guys next time if such an incident occurs.
