Great

Results & updated standings are ready but there's a complaint that came in late that needs to be checked first. Hope JT can do that since i'm a bit busy at the moment...

Complaint from: Biffy
About: toyotsupra
Incident(s): Lap 1 (think you mean lap 2 as lap 1 is formation lap). Pushed on to grass at turn 3.
Opinion 1: The 1st incident supra ran wide and hit biffy who was on the outside of him, I'm not sure If supra knew he was there or not. So it could have been avoided but thb it was a risky move by biffy as the normal racing line through that corner biffy would have ran out of room eventually.
Opinion 2: Nothing in that at all. Toyotsupra had racing line and biffy should not have tried to pass.
Result: No penalty

Complaint from: Biffy
About: toyotsupra
Incident(s): Lap 2. Damage through contact.
Opinion 1: The 2nd incident Supra had damage wasn't fully under control of his car and on the exit of the hairpin he lost lost control of his car and took out biffy.
Opinion 2: Toyotsupra had speed from draft of car in 2nd place and biffy had draft from supra. So when supra passed into 2nd and biffy then passed everyone, everyone was at full speed and very close to each other. supra was the unlucky one who got damage 1st and so could not stop in time for the corner. all 3 were equally to blame for the recklessness to the approach to the hairpin.
Result: Undecided. Needs another opinion. Only penalty available will be points deduction if any.

Complaint from: Biffy
About: toyotsupra
Incident(s): Lap 5/6. Damage through contact
Opinion 1: The 3rd incident again supra still had damage was driving very slow and biffy went into his rear. Tbh I'm not really sure If supra ment to sit in the middle of the road I think he was having a hard time just keeping his car on the road and I think biffy should of slowed down.
Opinion 2: Toyotsupra still had damage and should have slowed down but it was early in the race and everyone wants to do well early on. A bit of damage really kills your race and everyone would have tried to get back to the pits as soon as possible.
Result: No penalty

More to follow (unfortunatly).....

Complaint from: djdavey85
About: Antz1980
Incident(s): Various. Between lap 19 and 25. Damage caused by agressive driving.
Opinion 1: Sometimes it looks like lag is the cause but most of the time it's clearly that he's looking for a gap that isn't there.
Especially on 44:43 and 48:07. Taking into account that daveyp was 1 lap ahead I think Antz should get a penalty.

Opinion 2: Lap 19 he cuts across infront of the lapping dj. This would be the same as ignoring a blue flag. He does let him pass next corner though and technically he was following the racing line (its dj's responsibility to go around antz). Lap 23-25 was interesting. The problem i see is that Antz was quicker than dj as he was on softs and dj on meds. Antz held his line and dj could not pass. Then Antz made a mistake and dj got past. But then Antz caught him up again and dj got frustrated. Antz's pass was a little aggresive but i think dj could have made it easier for him as he was clearly faster even if he was a lap behind. However, on Lap 25, after another mistake by Antz, dj passed and then was hit by antz on the 2nd hairpin. This was different to previous passes as antz deffinatly aimed at him and cause the damage to dj's car. This would be a penalty for "causing an avoidable accident".
Result: 30 second penalty for incident on lap 25

Still more to follow (unfortunatly)....

Rule Break: Rule 6.7.1 (Changed tyre compound outwith pit window)
Who: toyotsupra
Result: 30 second penalty Minimum due to fact it was 1 lap before pit window.

Goruk Formula position adjustments
I overtook godoias on lap 31 but this was after greennarcotics had won the race. Godoias should get 9th place based on the Goruk formula. Also, in real racing once the winner has crossed the finish line the race is over and whenever another car crosses the line then their race is over too. So, in effect, his and my race finished at the end of lap 30 with Godoias ahead. This is also why the end race delay time is so important. If 2 cars are battling for, say, 4th and 5th and are just ahead of the leader as he wins the race, then there must be enough time for them to complete the lap and battle.

Obviosly [<-sp :(] a busy race for the 3 people who had to review all he incidents. I've added direct quotes from the different messages i have recieved, about all the incidents, so that everyone can see how we came to the decisions we did. Anyone who raced can help with reviewing future incidents if they want, as long as they are not directly involved in the incident of course.

Great work JT! I will take a look tomorrow at the 2nd incident between biffy and toyotsupra to add a 3rd opinion.

Hope we can keep it clean tomorrow because there's no satisfying way for penalties afterwards :indiff: (referring to the remark of Green earlier that we must have some kind of penalty and consolation if somebody got kicked out)

^Yeah we had some practice races tonight and its quite an easy track to get pushed onto the grass and end up right at the back.
The best i can think to do is watch all three replays after the races and make sure everyone was behaving themselves. You will have to play the odds in the 1st round. If you are in the top 4 or 5, then trying to overtake in the last lap could end in disaster. Play it safe, take your 5th place, take your ticket to round 2 and prepare for medium tires.
Also, with it being a grid start, watch the tires off the line. They spin, for what seems, an eternity.

More than 8 drivers
Qualifying - 20mins
Soft Tires: Round 1 - 11 Laps (fastest first)
10min break
Medium Tires: Round 2 (top 8) - 8 Laps (reverse grid)
5min break
Hard Tires: Round 3 (top 4) - 5 Laps (reverse grid)

8 drivers or less
Qualifying - 20mins
Soft Tires: Round 1 - 17 Laps (fastest first)
10min break
Hard Tires: Round 2 (top 4) - 11 Laps (reverse grid)

Thanks to Goruk for the lap times.

Well, I better start practicing now. The last time I did this track was in an A-spec event I think :nervous:

I doubt opinion 1 and 2 are talking about the same incident but I looked at the contact between Biffy and toyotsupra in lap 2 after the 2nd hairpin.

My opinion: toyotsupra made a mistake there. I think he touched the grass and stepped too firmly too soon on the throttle causing him to spin to the right and heading to the inside. Unfortunately Biffy was there. It's a common mistake made by a lot of people there, also in this race. I think toyotsupra should not get a penalty for this mistake as it has nothing to do with reckless driving or deliberately blocking.
Racing is not only about being fast and overtaking, it's also about making mistakes and more important: avoiding them.

Does my weight come down for this race tonight so it should be 1120kg is that rite?

yes that's right. penalty weight will come back again next week. read your mail please...

Some other thing that might come up tonight. Are we allowed to change setups in between the rounds and are we allowed to practice in the pauses?

I'm guessing you can symp we did last season although we did different tracks in each race. I don't see any problem with it as we are all on the same weight.....

symp are you practicing just now ?

had a pause..but yes I'm practicing! join? need to set my gear for the draft

yeah will be on in a bit, like you this is not one of my strong tracks had some practice with goruk last week and he was pretty fast think he did a 142 not sure but......

Greennarcotics

Not bad times might need to come on inhabit just playing some F1 time trails around monza lapping pretty fast 1.20.319

teeds
We were seeing high 1.42s solo last night and just getting into the 41s with slipstream.

Well today I was running 1.43.9 sec could be quite close at front but we don't know what the BMWs are running?

yeah I had a feeling 142 would be the time for pole, i'm doing around 143.5 now hoefully get it down a bit lower so i'm near the front of the grid ;) and hopefully I can hold my position.

My time is 1.43.3 but i don't worry about the times, i just want a clean race :sly:

Yeah i think if you keep out of trouble for round 1 then you will qualify for round 2. Then the real race will begin.

You can change setup, practice, change tires, have a smoke, drink a beer, have a shi..comfort break....what ever. But the race will start at the times mentioned before. So 10 minutes between rounds 1 and 2. 5 minutes between rounds 2 and 3. You cant leave the lobby room though. Unless you get disconnected.

If someone who DC's between the rounds and they have qualified for the next round then we will wait upto an extra 5 minutes for that person to return. If they dont return then they get the bottom place on that round and we race minus that person.
