Osnlow-Cole spins, Safety Car on lap 10 of 15. This will be interesting...

Jordan was half a second quicker on the last lap. Should be good.

Extra lap for Griffin's failure.

What the hell ? Didn't think they could do that.

Well technically he never officially retired from the race, he just missed the start... if he didn;t get out he'd be classified as a "Did Not Start", not a "Retirement", as you have to start to retire...

Impressive result by Dan Welch in the Proton. 6th place, means that was his best ever finish to date.

Race 2 upcoming for BTCC.

And impressive for Welch, but watch out for Jason in this one...

Another impressive finish for Welch. Things are starting to get along pretty well this weekend for him...

Onslow-Cole on pole with Wood and Griffin behind. Got to fancy Cole for at least a podium.

Rob Collard understandably not happy with Jackson. This bump to pass really has to stop :grumpy: Deserved penalty given to Jackson.

Absolute shambles for Redstone today.

This has to be longest safety car in years. Stupid Jackon, lol's from Morgan. Now restarting.

Safety Car again, enormous shunt for Jordan.

That was epic. Jackson vs Collard again at end as well. Just epic.

Great day's racing, had the perfect view in between Cascades and Knickerbrook looking over Hislops and over the hill. My favourite place to watch as you can see so much and most of the action happens around there.

Awesome drives from Welch, Wood and Plato. Also a decent-ish debut for Will Bratt in the Audi though he benefitted from people falling off the track and taking each other out.

I'm still gutted Welch couldn't hold on for the podium in race 2 - if anything because the many Plato fans at the track were starting to get on my nerves! But fair play to Plato he drove a brilliant race and a clean one too - there's a rarity!

Disappointed in Neate - some bad luck with reliability a little but come on, the excuses surely must end now.

*sigh* too much run off nowadays at Oulton Park.

What run off? There is no tarmac run-off at Oulton bar the sections where the various layouts meet.
The grass and gravel has largely remained the same and the track is still considered pretty damn dangerous really! Any mistake at any of the corners can lead to heavy damage to the car. As we saw today with many mistakes, spins and crashes.
I think this track is one of the most challenging and brutal. You can't drive carefully as you're too slow but you cannot over-drive as you end up in the barriers or stuck in wet grass.

Unless we are wishing for the days where trees lined the sides of the circuit??!?!

Just watched the race and while it's been a great weekend for Welch, I feel disappointed with Mat Jackson after getting involved in a couple of incidents.

While Jordan was mad at Collard, I don't think it was all Collard's fault because he was already far down the inside so Jordan should've known that Collard was there and will go through. Jordan might have thought that they could've gone side-by-side but in that situation, it will be difficult as Rob was fast down the inside and was already entitled to take the position away from Jordan but Jordan insisted that he can go together and he paid the price.

Overall, 3 fantastic races!

It's great to hear that Welch is overall happy with his and his team's effort throughout the whole weekend in Oulton despite losing a podium to Plato and getting shunted by Jackson and Newsham.

Croft might be another track in which the Proton could perform. In 2002, David Leslie drove the Proton Impian to an outright podium. Can't wait!

Paul O'neil is driving for speedworks at croft :D great to have Paul back

👍 Hopefully he can get up to speed quick with the Toyota and show something. He's generally run well in the past at Croft with the Integra.

I meant to ask, where was Harvey this weekend?

Ardius
👍 Hopefully he can get up to speed quick with the Toyota and show something. He's generally run well in the past at Croft with the Integra.

He goes better at oulton park - but he gets to drive again, and hopefully get noticed to drive for the full btcc next year 👍
