Thorney's back for Snetterton 👍

Hope the car's more competitive this time, and it's good to hear that they got some sponsorship, even if it's just for one weekend

Saw the Insignia briefly at Donington, sitting looking pretty sorry for itself... shame as I think it's the best looking car on the grid

I think it has massive potential and I agree it is a very nice looking car. IIRC, it was one of the fastest cars through the speed trap at Brands.

Nope:

I've yet to see any potential from this operation, he's constantly struggling for funds and has barely tested and developed the car.
I found it a bit odd he chooses to miss out rounds when he could have finished races and used them to not only gain confidence in his own driving but work on the car. Maybe he was struggling for funds so badly he didn't want to chance wrecking the car.

I've read and heard an awful lot of stories about John Thorne and it leaves me unconvinced he's going to get anywhere with this. But at least he's trying.

@ThorneyMS
7th fastest through straight speedtrap that will be the aero working, 21st and 22nd in the others, so just the rest of the car to sort :)

My mistake, must've been Donnington.

An early glimpse of an NGTC Ford Focus!

Wrathall on pole was a pleasent surprise! :D Fellow Invernessian Newsham 3rd too a great result :).

Well done Frank, I'd love to see him win one :)

Quite impressive to see the box-fresh Focus in 16th too

I'm expecting a charge through the field from Shedden in 22nd

Go Wrathall!!! :D

👍

Bloody hell, I go out with my mates today and I manage to catch a little bit of qualifying live on my phone just to see this!

Its also good to see Adam Morgan, Dan Welch and Lea Wood in the top 10 too!

Hopefully Frank can pull a double-race win at least!

Love the new NGTC Focus, it looks a beast on track and its not running too badly considering its never tested before!
Robb Holland having a steady debut so far, lets see how he does in the races.

Austin down to one car and they had engine issues I believe.

He lost Turbo Pressure or something like that according to his Facebook.

Holland smashed Morgan out the race by moving in the braking zone :/

I'm not so sure, we didn't get much of a replay of it, we only saw the end of it.

Shame for both of them though, Morgan could have been on to a stormer if he hadn't made that mistake on lap 1!

Dirty driving from Jordan, going by the stewards decisions lately in BTCC he might actually get a penalty for that.

Not surprised to see Chris James hitting lots of cars again. Awesome driving from Shedden, Gilham and Mat Jackson!
The NGTC Ford Focus looks a beast on track, it seems to loom in the background when you see it behind cars!

Edit: Bloody hell, a very stupid incident in the Porsche Supercup race with Gelzinis and Al Harthy!

Gutted for Rob Collard, having to stop on the last lap :ouch:

New Focus looks stunning though, seems pretty quick as well

And it's great to finally see the Insignia competitive :)

A fantastic result for Frank Wrathall, fair play to him, and also to Tony Gilham, great to see the Insignia finally make some progress, it's one of my favourite cars, so I can only hope it gets more positive results!
