Chris James had a little argument with Andrew Jordan on Twitter last night, hopefully he forgets his password soon, its getting shameful:
"Hey Im a spoilt little boy, my daddy has spoon fed me & I throw tantrums like a plastic ****. Who am I!?"

And he calls himself a professional...

It bizarre, Andrew Jordan has every right to be upset about it.

The guy's a joke. He was even hitting out at fans after his mess up in qualifying at Brands. Fans. For a bloke and a team looking for sponsorship it's pretty thin ice having very public fights with people. Doesn't do the image any good.

Not sure what sponsors would really want to be associated with - essentially - a mouthy chav. Maybe Lambrini.

daan
But how much is all of this "bump to make him run wide then pass on the next straight" got to do with the fact that the Brands Hatch Indy circuit is pretty much impossible* to pass on? It has no real braking zones, apart from one, easily defendable one, and no real straights. It is a silly circuit.

* Yes, I saw that video of the Ginetta up there, but that's only one...

Brands Hatch, a silly circuit? It is a mans circuit for men!!! Undulating, challenging especially the GP circuit.
I'm not getting uppity but I find the flat, sanitised Hermann Tilke type circuits a bit bland. I'm a fan of circuits that flow with the land, park circuits like Oulton Park or Donington

Well that was an extremely interesting read but it seems Jordan deleted his posts, what did he say ?

Also this.

He was referring specifically to the 1.2 mile Indy version not the masterpiece full version.

No, it's all still there:

Andrew Jordan: I'm sure all BTCC cars have to have mirrors fitted ?? Maybe its too hard for someone to actually use them
Chris James: Hey Im a spoilt little boy, my daddy has spoon fed me & I throw tantrums like a plastic 🤬 . Who am I!? Now my fake friend, that's AV IN IT
Chris James: Oh & I look a little like Bugs Bunny too. What's up doc??? ;-) xxx
Chris James: Nope not Jason or Matt, They are both too professional to play boyish games..... Unlike 🤬 daddys boys who are pretenders to the throne
Andrew Jordan: @ChrisJamesBTCC can you just stop tweeting, I can't be bothered. I'm not bothered about qualy, grow up
Chris James: @AndrewJordan77 what's up Doc? As you say Andy what goes around comes around ;-) Don't worry you'll AV IT mate!
Chris James: Here have a Carrott :-)

Oh right, thanks. I saw that but I thought he'd said something to James more recently to provoke him into his bugs bunny outburst.

Lost all respect for James now 👎.

The less said about Chris James the better - its a waste of breath even bothering discussing him. I was willing to give him a chance to show something pace-wise for the new season and to calm down with the very public and immature comments. But he still continues to suck as a driver and can't help himself with the childish behaviour.

I feel sorry for Dave Newsham that he has to put up with this tit just to drive a decent car...at least the car is still competitive and ES Racing seem to be doing a good job otherwise.

There are some people out there on other forums who started a rather tasteless hate-campaign on the guy before the season started - I felt that was OTT and unfair on the guy. But now Chris is only proving them right, which is quite sad indeed.

AJ is in the BTCC on merit, off the top of my head he's been in Rallycross and Clios and has 4 seasons of tin-tops under his belt (citation needed!) but still a great racing CV for a 24year-old. Personal digs on twitter or Facebook is as emotionally immature a person can get.

Actually, James took offense to Jordan tweeting Wrathall saying 'Are you gunna AV IT this weekend Frank. Hope your AV IN a good time'

Does that make sense to anyone, or have I just stroked out again?

Vauxhall driver - vauxhall adverts?

or is that 'Come on'

I thought I knew nothing, Now I am sure that I do

Well doesn't that just make him the biggest bell end on the planet then. So... if he took offence at that before the weekend and then blocked Jordan on his last qualifying lap... wouldn't that make it even more moronic? Like, race licence points and a fine moronic?

I remember when that advert first came out. It - and Peter Kaye - was funny for about nine minutes. Even kids got bored of it quickly.

I think I understand it. James blocked Jordan and then apologised. Jordan then proceeded to post "I'm sure all BTCC cars have to have mirrors fitted ?? Maybe its too hard for someone to actually use them. #frustrating" on the 31st March. To which James said that he apologises and blames the radio. Frank Wrathall then starts using "AV" instead of have as a piss take on the 31st. Jordan also joins in on the 3rd. James then responds, perhaps sarcastically, with "@AndrewJordan77 @frankwrathall glad you're getting the hang of it lads! ;-)". Then he starts the bugs bunny rant after a few unrelated tweets and no more tweets from Jordan or Wrathall. Pretty sad that I spent over half an hour on this.

I haven't been "following" Jordan but please someone say he changed his profile picture to bugs bunny after this. Also on the btcc forum Alan Gow replied, "Yes we do have regulations to cover such things and this morning I have had to remind some drivers of them", to a question regarding twitter.

I suppose it's nice that the drivers aren't strangled by sponsorship obligations and can vent their frustrations, even if it has made James look like a bell end and lost him a lot of respect.

Wouldn't you love it if Alan Gow "reminded" drivers of their conduct on things like social networking sites and then gave them a reprimand or fine through such a site?

Still. Dear me Chris James... inmature.

Chris James' favourite phrase is "'AV IT".

As above. Every tweet, every facebook status or even when you talk to him. Often after drinking a few he tweets about 'AVIN IT'. Every single week.

Exactly. The GP track is Epic. The indy circuit is a silly track for racing on.

Being a big AJ fan I'll have to correct you. He's only 22 and was the youngest ever race winner in British rallycross, when he was only 17 or 18 I think.

And he's from the same town as me, a big plus :P

Only just found this section of the site!

I was busy this weekend past and only saw the end of the final round at Brands. I was hoping that ITV would put it on their iPlayer but alas, no such luck. It seems only important programs like Corrie make their way on to their lists.

Does anyone know where I can re-watch any of the first round either online or if it is repeated?

In future, I'm recording it on the V+ box....

Thanks for the citation Duffers. No Arena (my local team) Fords in BTCC this year so I'm rooting for AJ, TOC and because his team manager is a family friend, Lea Wood

Anyway, balls to Chris James, Donny is 9 days away, looking forward to it already. Seems to favour longer wheelbase FWD cars that circuit

I was watching the highlights on the ITV website and I noticed they didn't show a replay of how exactly the eBay motors BMW flipped, as I was at that corner on the day and was typically looking the other way as it happened I only caught the end of the crash (some of it on video on my phone)
I was wondering if it was all shown on the TV at some point, I would be interested to see how the whole incident happened.
By the looks of what I saw/caught on camera and the markings on the track it seems me got too far on the curb on the putside of the corner and ended up going sideways into the barrier.

I know I'm dreaming but I really hope Tech-Speed can get a sponsorship deal together, they've got NGTC turbos in their cars now and as Paul O'Neill said last week their chassis is better than the ex-888 Vectras and the engine is the same, they could've won the first 2 races knowing how good Paul O'Neill is on his day.

I don't think it was caught on TV either.

Looking at this image, i'd say that it's swapped ends and reversed itself into the tyre wall, pirouetted onto it's nose and rolled onto it's roof. It's not a quick section of the track, so it was probably unfortunate to land that way rather than spectacular. Still, glad it wasn't me all the same.

After a quick youtube search I found these two vids from spectators.

Neither get the original slide, but they get him hitting the barrier and flipping.

1988 BTCC cars going around Brand Hatch rather quickly

Is it me, or are these cars more powerful than our current cars? They seem to rather edgy and look more "on it" than the modern cars ever had been.
