I didn't think Jacksons move was that bad, it looked like Plato was on the brakes before Mat, and Mat had to stand on the brakes to avoid contact, his tail got really loose and in the end contact was inevitable. It's Collard I felt sorry for.

Liquid
If you go back a few pages there was a discussion on driving standards. I'm referring to the dirty maneuvers and shove-to-overtake mentalities and not simply swapping paint.

I know but I think some people think a small contact is wrong

But I don't like Plato and his moves. Very dirty driver imo

Rob Austin will not be competing for the rest of the afternoon.

Griffin swerved because the Avensis swerved in front of him, putting him on a collision course with the Vectra. No way did Griffin have the right to loose his rag like that! Bang out of order

Plato getting involved again... C'Mon TOC, with collard out I want some kind of result for the BMW's!!!

Quite. Plato deserved to crash there, was monumentally idiotic trying to squeeze Collard off the road simply for rubbing up against him in the chicane.

One of these days - possibly when he's languishing well down the points table from scuppering his own races through contact - Plato will realise that discretion is the better part of valor in some instances.

Edit: I do feel sorry for Paul O'Neill, having seen a few of his interviews just then...

Problem is, Plato is a bloody fast driver so its hard to imagine him ever being in the position of languishing! I think a lot of people thought the same thing 15 years ago - that Plato would learn to be more careful when he started to struggle - but here we are 15 years later and Plato still gets results but still gets caught up in stupid contacts.

Perhaps if Plato had learnt not to make contact, he would be a bit more than double champion..but then life would be boring without mistakes and stupidity, eh?

Chaos. Neate off, Newsham leads, Griffin and James clas again...

Neal off, Onslow cole crashed, Safety Car.

I've only watched Race 1. Sounds like I've missed two blinders.

Plato. That was dirty. He has to get a penalty. Great win for Jackson though...

Tell it how it is Shedden! By the way, if Plato gets penalty points on his license again, he is excluded (or rather, his race license will be suspended for a while) from the next race weekend if I understand correctly due to the points he has already earned himself over the past year.

If Plato had learned not to make contact, I doubt he'd be even a single champion. He's rarely passed anyone cleanly...

...as illustrated nicely by his move on Flash at the end of race 3.

I usually defend Jason but that was a bit naughty. Still, good win for Matt Jackson, first double winner this season!

Thruxton I would imagine will play into the NGTC cars nicely. Driven some VXR's round there, very tricky but a lot of fun.

I defended Jason a lot last season but it's got to the point where most of his moves are indefensible now, whether or not you're a fan. It's incredibly frustrating to watch because up until then, he'd driven an excellent race - and then went and spoiled it by knocking another driver off the road. Again.

Surely in the back of his mind those license points and fines must be there, you would think he would just take 3rd, I mean from 17th, I would have..

I'm a massive supporter of the MG team but Plato telling such porkies about locking up on the last corner, even the way he told Louise sounded like he didn't even believe it himself  You can clearly see him riding the back of the Honda for ages then just left it to brake for the both of them. I understand why he kept his helmet on!

On a side note does anyone know the music ITV4 plays when showing the standings, timings etc lists on screen? Its been the charts recently by some new guy but I can't remember who it was or what's it called. Thanks

Robin.

Dirty driving AGAIN from Plato, and then, in a really patronising manner, to suggest it was Sheddens fault! A great way to ruin a great drive from the back.

Shame again for Collard, he just can't keep the pace up for the full length of the race.
