I think Tordoff is going that way. There is a disgusting attitude inside MG, did anyone hear ITV going over to interview Plato in Race 3? They were trying to force it into him that Bratt had caused the whole thing. I feared that it was a corrupt team revolving around Plato, and that interview made it seem so. Tordoff was getting into some rough stuff in Race 2, before Honda cut the brake lines on it:lol: And that Neate thing, I am really confused by. How do you finish at the back in every race, get lapped, and say confidently "Yes, this car is fast enough for a podium"? If it was a frontrunner, like Jordan, Shedden etc then they might be able to do it, but I doubt he is podium material especially in that car.

Perhaps Neate is saying the car is fast enough for a podium...if he wasn't driving it.

One of the guys that races with us in SMRC managed to get a drive in the hard insignia..... Time to find out how much that cost!

Also will only have 2 minis entered for the meet this year than the usual 3.

He would love the box till he finds out the cost. Only just got the flat shift working in the x but it still needs some work on the ignition cut timing and the torque setting on the gear stick as it was cutting the ignition over some bumps when it moved.

So I kinda burned Jason Plato a bit...
Tiff Needell
@tiff_tv - Getting wound up by @JasonPlato as his KX competitions have taken his followers ahead of mine so please put out message so I can shut him up
Famine
@GTP_Famine - @tiff_tv I follow @jasonplato because it's marginally safer than having him follow me...
Jason Plato
@jasonplato - @GTP_Famine @tiff_tv now that is quality humour

It'll be interesting to finally see where that Insignia really is on pace as O'Neill seems pretty good at jumping in cars and getting up to speed quick. I think its fair to say that other than Tony Gilham himself, we haven't really had a known quantity jump in the car. Jack Goff of course is very good and seems just off the top 10 most of the time but it will be interesting to see what an experienced hand (and race winner) can do.

Just found how much the drive in the insignia cost.

To give ideas the test day was £10,000 also it was first offered to an impressive female driver first who will still be out the the meet.

Latest Welch paddock pass video from Snetterton (featuring Rob Austin):

Funny to hear them discussing who is worst to race against.

Yeah, the thing I like about these videos are that its giving a great insight into the mid-pack small teams and their struggles. We wouldn't hear about half this stuff other than the odd comment in commentary from David Addison or Tim Harvey.
Welch has had some ridiculously bad luck so far (the double tyre blow out on both trucks heading to Oulton Park taking the cake!).

At least they got that Jack Sears win for David Nye at Croft. But its been their only mark all season so far.

Butler-Henderson Targets Return (via BTCC Fan Page)

Charlie Butler Henderson is aiming to get back into the BTCC as early as the Rockingham round, following a nine year absence from the grid.
He stated on his Facebook page earlier today that HEL Performance, who run the S2000 Honda in which he currently competes in the Time Attack Series with, are putting in a large contribution towards his return and they are currently seeking other sponsors to to finalise the deal. So if you're looking to get involved in Motorsport as a sponsor, please check out his Facebook page where you will be able to find all the details.

Mike Bushell to test Neate's Cruze

If anyone is interested, team HARD and Paul O'Neill have followed the Rob Austin route and are asking for sponsorship from the fans (except without the photo on the roof):

Just in case you haven't followed the link, I'll just add that for every £2 donated you get a chance to be one of nine winners to get driven round doing hot laps by Paul O'Neill or the one winner who actually gets to DRIVE the BTCC Insignia, guided by him. I've had to have a couple of tries for that

Minis getting completely resprayed next week for the race next weekend also new front bonnets and bumpers.

Need to get rid of the tyre marks somehow.

Yeah, although, that's not necessarily getting anything back from it. At least with the photo on the car thing you had something for your money for sure.

Not to dissuade anyone but I'd be inclined to fork over the £299 they're asking to enter their scholarship-shootout prize, because at least you get some real testing in a VW Cup car etc.

Nice and shiny for TV? :D Anything interesting going on colours wise or anything?
Good luck! Hope it goes well!

Well Emma's mini is different from last year but josh is the same, he's one to watch as he's well in the top 10 now.

Legends champion Carol Brown is racing a blue mini that was built by us but we've tried to source a mini for George to race. I spoke to Kenny who was the tv car last year which has just had an engine rebuild and is quick and he was only wanting 1k for it for the weekend but its not registered for the championship which will be another £500 then there's entry fee's on top.

We got offered another mini for the weekend for 3k though. Which is only about 10% of a team hard drive.

I'd say the cleanest drivers on the grid are;
Turkington, Tordoff, Onslow-Cole, Newsham, Wrathall, Welch and Wood.

I'd have put Collard on that list in the past, but recently he seems to have been a bit more aggressive. I'd put it down to him being clean in the past and getting thumped off the road by everyone as a result. Seems to be a limit to how long a driver can remain a clean racer in the BTCC...

So I kinda burned Jason Plato a bit...

 I must have missed that one.

I'm heading down to Knockhill this weekend to watch the touring cars. It'll be interesting to see what happens with a big grid on the cards.

We don't often get onboards for the BTCC weekends, and this one is great to watch just to see how Shedden coaches someone around the track.
