I don't visit here very often these days since I no longer have internet acces at home, but since GT4 is (hopefully) about to be released next month, I'd though I drop in and check up on it.

Well, here's a 'Dutchy' from the north of the Netherlands: the city Groningen. Can't wait till GT4 comes out here. On the other hand the date is conveniantly placed after all my exams are finished so no distractions ;-)

I'm playing GT4 now ... I recommend the Chinese version, as the names of cars are in English.

Where did you buy GT4 Arwin?
And I'm wondering if there are more people form Holland/Belgium that are prefering the Chinese version over the Japanse...

The release in Holland of Sony releases is allways on friday. But most shops get the goods on wednesday before. I know I will be laying in front of the shops on the 9th of March in Sittard at Gamecity.

And why are you going to lay in front of the shop. Cant you pre-order at Gamecity??

I think i will buy it at the Mediamarkt Heerlen, does someone now if you can pre-order it there??

Many shops have the game in the store on Tuesday. Officially they're not allowed to sell it yet then, but many will put the game up on the display during the day on Tuesday so that everyting is ready on Wednesday morning. Better keep that in mind. You can test this by watching stores on Tuesday for other releases.

hey smelly socks its not about wether or not any of what ur saying is significant enough or not to be translated...its about understanding it! im sure all the requests for english dont evolve around the mystery what u or anyone actually said but rather around the fact that it is simply impolite to anyone who cant read that stuff!!

I live near the German border ( Venlo ). I've never met a German willing to speak Dutch in my entire life....They all speak German...Now how for that?

Just don't take care of us Dutch...we're kinda strange

Good to see that we got so much dutch members, and potential GT4 fans.

Am fan from the 1st GT game and still on to it. Hopefully we can organise/ setup Lan meetings (Campzone2005?) or i-link stuff. (aint got i-link experience, but will be soon.) But the game needs 2 be there 1st..... still another big month.....

Regarding the living areas look eachother up and meet up. But indeed not much northern NL members. (perhaps we're a little behind......)

About release date, i know that from movie rental shops they have movies a few day's before release date...... When you get connections who knows when you got it. (GT4 or a in this example a movie)

This holds for any other topic but ones like these that target a certain culture group specifically. If I were to start talking Dutch to another member in any old Gran Turismo 4 thread on settings or whatever, that would be impolite. But here, it is appropriate, in my opinion. (Yes, even if there might be people living in the Netherlands who do not understand the language - there is little enough motivation for learning Dutch when you live there anyway )

Ah plezant eens in onze eigen taal te kunnen praten. Ik ben van België, meer bepaald van Antwerpen. Zijn er hier nog Antwerpenaren aanwezig? Want ik zie vooral limburgers. Het zou leuk zijn GTx freaks te leren kennen in de buurt dan kunnen we is samen gamen want als ik tegen mijn vrienden of familieleden speel win ik altijd.
Spijtig dat het niet online is dan konden we een belgische clan oprichten (of een nederlandstalige).
