Also the DLC is awesome. I wouldn't pass the opportunity to play it just to take some moral stance.
But that kind of stance is exactly what needs to be taken with a company like EA. They only understand money so we need to let our money do our talking. This is the exact reason why I won't buy the DLC either. They won't test a game properly before release or fix it in a timely manner afterwards so I'm not going to reward them for not doing their job. Maybe the DLC is worth the money, but for me, it just seems to tell them that I will just mindlessly buy anything they put out there, regardless of the quality. For a publisher of EA's size, there really is no good excuse for this sort of quality control, ever. It might be different if the issue was a minor one, like Shift 1's invisible bumps on certain tracks, with could be avoided with practice. But it's a game-breaking bug and even potentially damaging to the PS3 itself.
