Also the DLC is awesome. I wouldn't pass the opportunity to play it just to take some moral stance.

But that kind of stance is exactly what needs to be taken with a company like EA. They only understand money so we need to let our money do our talking. This is the exact reason why I won't buy the DLC either. They won't test a game properly before release or fix it in a timely manner afterwards so I'm not going to reward them for not doing their job. Maybe the DLC is worth the money, but for me, it just seems to tell them that I will just mindlessly buy anything they put out there, regardless of the quality. For a publisher of EA's size, there really is no good excuse for this sort of quality control, ever. It might be different if the issue was a minor one, like Shift 1's invisible bumps on certain tracks, with could be avoided with practice. But it's a game-breaking bug and even potentially damaging to the PS3 itself.

So apparently, there's a Shift 3 being discussed at EA/SMS?

I think they refer to a third patch in this discussion. But my guess is as good as anybodys, of course. A lot can be interpreted into that sentence from the EA guy.

If there will be Shift 3 game, then I'm definitely playing on PC. Fans make best patches 👍 and mods.

HKS racer
No Shift 3 by SMS. They are already working on C.A.R.S. ( Comunity Assisted Racing Simulator )

But we are the Comunity aren't we?
We are trying to Assist them with their Racing Simulator.

Oh........

Don't hold much hope for that project then.

:sly: Nice joke but without EA this time they got no excuses and they wont disappoint us.

One would hope for their sake that turns out to be the case. I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt, but as you say no EA means zero excuses and the full ire of a pissed off community if similar shenanigans happen.

It is aimed at the mature market I believe. Zimmerframes vs wheelchairs. No nitrous allowed, bring your own oxygen tank. No tracks but great racing in carehome gardens. Contact your local osteoporosis support group for some online fun.

🤬 I cant wait

Comunity of comedians, eh? Another good one 👍
Anyway market is changing and if this now approach will lead to some benefits for all of us we should give it a chance. At least this time you'll no longer waste your time with EA customer trolling service. You will talk directly with developers on their (WIP) portal.

Just saw in autolog news section that shift 2 is coming to mobile. I guess that's what they've been working on lately. I dont expect them to release any more patches now.

Well, if that's the case, then i wont be purchasing any ****...........sorry i mean shift games again. How they can put out a DRIVING GAME that freezes when you drive a fast car in the game is beyond me.

I don't think we'll see another...the third DLC hacked on PC looked unfinished. I think they gave up on the game and moved on.

I haven't had the freezes, no more than any other game. GT5 froze about the same amount of times. I only had highspeed freezes in the LE events, never online, never in time trial. Once I deleted someone from autolog, I never had them again.

They could take some more input lag out and patch in assists off for online, seeing someone out accellerate me on sand is annoying.

Things have gotten very quiet regarding the patch that EA was "supposed" to be working on. So.., have they been blowing smoke up our bums again?

In the afternoon I just sold my PS3 copy for € 40 ( avery good gamestop promotion here in Italy.....50% more value)....... I was tired to wait for a patch to make the cars driveable like a car and not like a lagged hovercraft.

EA has moved to need for speed on the run which to me is nothing more than a rehash of hot pursuit. The problem is that they are cranking out games instead of focusing on making the existing game better. I wont be purchasing on the run as i have the last hot pursuit so another arcade style racer is pointless

You guys are still waiting on a 3rd patch?

Dang that stinks. 👎

I am... Im feed up with not being able to use the Ring because of the high speed freezes or the Radical because of the funny wheel movement on straights (more noticeble on replays - wich was on the PC fix list as erratic suspension movement (R8 and caterham) and was fixed) and the still quite annoying imput lag issue or the even more annoying magnetic cars effect...

But if it is not released... its no big deal with F1 and Forza 4 just around the corner... just no more PS3 SMS games for me... thats all...

Dang, i figured they would have had that ring thing sorted out by now. That and many other issues(which infuriated me) is why i got rid of mine early.

It's not good for your health to get angry at a game that is made to be enjoyed. That's just not right.

I just get Freezes all the time while pick Huraya and Norsdchleife :/ Driving above 300km/h is impossible because game freezes :grumpy:

This is really frustrating :yuck: I like that game so much but god dammit!!!
