Latvia is lot of fun. Yaris is a joy to drive. Stock setup, Was buzzing the limiter 70-80% of the stage

Is Rally 2 more fun than Rally 1 right now? I can't remember whether there's an option to change back to WRC2 at the end of a career year without losing a lot.

That's a matter of personal preferences; in terms of actually nailing a run I'd go with the hybrids simply due to the additional complexities you have to deal with, but for general enjoyment I'd go with the Rally/WRC2's any day of the week, for me they're just a joy to drive.

It just the Novelty of getting a very in demand model like the Rally 2 Yaris in the game. Short of the Clio R3/4 and Ypsilon R4 I guess it was the only thing missing from the IRL WRC car list.

It does handle amazing though.

I'm liking the new stages. I did all the short and medium ones in the wee hours this morning when i should have been sleeping. Thankfully I'm as bad at these as I am on all the others so I've been doing 360s in the fields of Latvia before rejoining the track  It's revitalised my interest in the game so hopefully I'll be playing it more again.

Just had a couple of hours of proper testing in my rig ( was on controller downstairs yesterday ).
Gotta say the audio from the '24 Puma is awesome. Poland and Latvia are fantastic and I've got a new favourite in the Kalvene stage, it's such a high speed ride and over in about two minutes.
Also it seems as though the scenery elsewhere has had a bit of a buff, specially on the BioBio stages.

Weirdly I've seen reports of two new ffb options popping up for console, wheel friction and tyre friction. A Moza user showed me a screenshot but my options don't have these.
Either they're wheel specific or he's not on Xbox as he reckons he is lol

No you can't go backwards in career mode.
I really don't want to bin my career after all this time. Guess I'll have to keep an eye out for the Yaris in Season 7's moments once it rolls around or cobble together a custom championship if I want to try it out.

For anyone (with the DLC) wanting to try the new stages. This club is running an event with all the Polish stages for the next few days. I think Latvia to follow

Just a note with clubs, you need to own the DLC to take part. It's only quick play mutiplayer where only the host needs to own.

They're doing a Latvia one in the Rally2s

Spent a bit of time in the Rally1 cars last night, specifically the Yaris and Puma. Using stock setup on all and I didn't notice a huge difference between the 2023 and 2024 Yaris. Possibly a touch of understeer in the 2024 Yaris, but nothing major. Ran the same Latvian stage a handful of times though and my clean 2024 Yaris runs were all quicker.

Much more noticeable difference between the 2023 and 2024 Puma. 2024 Puma feels way nicer to drive to me and is a clear improvement (plus it sounds awesome!). I rarely use the Hyundai, but I'll give that a try at some point as well.

Briefly tried the Rally2 Yaris before heading to bed. Initial impressions were good, but I'd like to run a couple of stages on repeat and bounce between a few cars to get a good comparison. I know the Fabia was favoured by many for record runs, but the Fiesta has been my go to recently, so those to compare first.

Finally  But seriously, any recommendation for a decent Capture card ? :ill:

Great vid as always 👍

Agree with the '24 Puma, it is night and day better than the '23. I found the '24 Hyundai to be a bit of a handful when I tested it on Sardinia, was quite surprising, I was half expecting it to feel a bit more like the Yaris in terms of stability given how good the real one has been.

The real i20 does seem to be pointier than the Yaris, it's something they've been mentioning quite a bit in commentary on Rally.TV this year. Very nice if they've managed to capture that in the game.

It was borderline for me but I eventually plumped for the expansion, the new Yaris definitely feels quick with it's default tune (at least on the one stage I tested it on).

Only done a couple short runs on Poland and Latvia, the latter being surprisingly bumpy. Having a run through the club up above, initial impressions are that (somewhat unsurprisingly) both locations are almost tailor-fit for the Rally1's; incredibly fast and enough aero to send it through anything longer than a 4 essentially flat.

I was a bit disappointed to see there's no unofficial/custom liveries for the 24' hybrids (the white/blue number for the '23 Puma is my cover car on the main menu) so I may have to spend some time designing one myself when I get a preference for which hybrid I prefer. Having said that, the 24' Puma does feel pretty good thus far (and they kept the tachometer on the dash!).
