Is the Yaris genuinely the new best Rally2 car or is it just because everyone is driving it at the moment?Latvia is lot of fun. Yaris is a joy to drive. Stock setup, Was buzzing the limiter 70-80% of the stage

Both 😜Is the Yaris genuinely the new best Rally2 car or is it just because everyone is driving it at the moment?
That's a matter of personal preferences; in terms of actually nailing a run I'd go with the hybrids simply due to the additional complexities you have to deal with, but for general enjoyment I'd go with the Rally/WRC2's any day of the week, for me they're just a joy to drive. Is Rally 2 more fun than Rally 1 right now? I can't remember whether there's an option to change back to WRC2 at the end of a career year without losing a lot.
No you can't go backwards in career mode.Is Rally 2 more fun than Rally 1 right now? I can't remember whether there's an option to change back to WRC2 at the end of a career year without losing a lot.
I really don't want to bin my career after all this time. Guess I'll have to keep an eye out for the Yaris in Season 7's moments once it rolls around or cobble together a custom championship if I want to try it out.No you can't go backwards in career mode.
Just a note with clubs, you need to own the DLC to take part. It's only quick play mutiplayer where only the host needs to own.For anyone wanting to try the new stages. This club is running an event with all the Polish stages for the next few days. I think Latvia to follow

Well, not today, because both Twitch editing and Youtube rendering are not functioning well both last night and today Hoping for tomorrow
I reeeeeeeeeaaaaally need an Elgato or something like that
Finally But seriously, any recommendation for a decent Capture card ?
Agree with the '24 Puma, it is night and day better than the '23. I found the '24 Hyundai to be a bit of a handful when I tested it on Sardinia, was quite surprising, I was half expecting it to feel a bit more like the Yaris in terms of stability given how good the real one has been.Spent a bit of time in the Rally1 cars last night, specifically the Yaris and Puma. Using stock setup on all and I didn't notice a huge difference between the 2023 and 2024 Yaris. Possibly a touch of understeer in the 2024 Yaris, but nothing major. Ran the same Latvian stage a handful of times though and my clean 2024 Yaris runs were all quicker.
Much more noticeable difference between the 2023 and 2024 Puma. 2024 Puma feels way nicer to drive to me and is a clear improvement (plus it sounds awesome!). I rarely use the Hyundai, but I'll give that a try at some point as well.
Briefly tried the Rally2 Yaris before heading to bed. Initial impressions were good, but I'd like to run a couple of stages on repeat and bounce between a few cars to get a good comparison. I know the Fabia was favoured by many for record runs, but the Fiesta has been my go to recently, so those to compare first.
The real i20 does seem to be pointier than the Yaris, it's something they've been mentioning quite a bit in commentary on Rally.TV this year. Very nice if they've managed to capture that in the game.Great vid as always 👍

Funnily enough I had this exact thought last night, when doing Poland and it transitioned onto the Cobblestones the haptic felt absolutely incredible. I don't know if they've been tweaked in the patch but it was more noticeable than the Portugal Cobblestones and I could actually feel the texture of them.Nothing to do about the recent update but I just wanted to say that I am really loving the haptic feedback + adaptive triggers on PS5. Thanks to it, I am able to perform miracles like:
1. While braking, lock up only the inside front tire.
2. In 4WD cars, drift the rear tires to rotate the car around while not losing grip on front tires and then regain grip on the rears to launch ahead.
3. Understand the extent of damage to engine/radiator/exhaust etc and the corresponding amount of drop in power.
Amazing job by the devs! A third party game makes the first party game Gran Turismo 7's haptic feedback + adaptive trigger implementation look pretty poor. Like, adding resistance to throttle and brake triggers, jeez! And binary rumble on off-track and on rally tracks.
I really wish I could use Rumble/Haptic features. I would even invest in a Dualsense for use on PC if my hands could deal with it. It would of course improve my experience and no doubt be an advantage in feeling grip changes/loss of traction etc compared to just relying on vision alone. Not to mention braking with no ABS.Funnily enough I had this exact thought last night, when doing Poland and it transitioned onto the Cobblestones the haptic felt absolutely incredible. Do love the haptic.
Just did this one in one go. I beat Jimmy on a couple of stages so I imagine he must have been going flat out while jabbering along to his streaming audience and hit a logpile or something. For anyone (with the DLC) wanting to try the new stages. The Rally 1 at Poland or the Rally 2 at Latvia? I guess the Latvia one as you mentioned the Yaris. I just finished the RALLY 2 with the new Yaris at Latvia. Really enjoyed it. I found the R2 Yaris twitchy especially towards the end. Did this nice pirouette on the final stage.Just did this one in one go. That Yaris is a bit twitchy for my liking as I spun out a couple of times and ended up in a pile of sticks I couldn't get out of. Not sure I'll stick with the club after Poland as they all seem to be hardcore sim racers.

I did the Latvia one from your link as I wanted to try out the Yaris. I didn't realise Poland was a separate club and thought they'd run a second Rally 2 event there next week. The Rally 1 at Poland or the Rally 2 at Latvia?
