Chances are they didn't.How do you know if the people who posted prayers donated or not?
In fact I did.Did you?
I can't find where I found it, but someone here on GTP predicted that there would be either a tsunami, earthquake, or some other massive natural disaster from the recent solar flare...
Just saying, some people were doubting him but what if that's true? Something that messes with the Earth's magnetic fields..

Of course. So you don't know either? The chance that a viewer of the appeal was a donor varies wildly from country to country. The US are very generous compared to the niggardly Brits, for example. Nonetheless I think it's a fair wager that the number of people who are prepared to donate the time it takes to post a message of support on an instant-access social media thread significantly outweighs the number of people prepared to make a longer, more involved fiscal donation.
Of course. So you don't know either?

Yeah.. to me I can't think of any logical explanation, and I most likely have no where near the amount of information that you know, but I was sitting on my couch the other night watching CNN and thought about that...@Swagger897
The discussion of space weather is probably best pursued in a different thread. I've been looking into geophysics, heliophysics and the sun-earth link in the ten years since my retirement from Boeing. NASA's "Living with a Star" program has dozens of satellites and hundreds of physicists and engineers working on these questions, and I try to follow their discoveries and explanations closely. Space weather is real. But it's complicated and so far not sufficient to make predictions of specific events.
Wellll...I didn't want to say anything...but last Friday my knee began to ache a little...and then it rained on Saturday...so....No, I don't. It's down to an estimation of the chances such as the one that @RS1600Turbo gave. On balance his estimation seems reasonable.
Do you know?
Must be the bean soup I had the other day. Every time I have bean soup it seems there's an earthquake somewhere.Let's add another one to the list, shall we? 5.5 Magnitude quake in Mexico. No reports of damage, hardly any news outlets posting about it probably for that reason.

4.0 in Michigan of all places.

Kalamazoo!!
Another 4.0 today, this time in California.
Not if people are going to bitch and moan. You missed the other 43. Are you going to keep this up, the "Random Earthquake Alert"?
Any more being predicted?. Earth seems to be like a woman who's birth pains are intensifying.
Really praying for those families hurting and confused.
Pretty sure 2012 wasn't a documentaryThere is no currently accepted, proven and totally reliable means to predict earthquakes.
However, I will tell you that more frequent and destructive earthquakes and volcanoes are associated with solar activity, including flares and CME's. The heliophysical and geophysical mechanisms for this are under study, and I'm following this. It is increasing being discovered that the sun and the earth are linked in a complex system.
We are currently going through a cyclical solar maximum, although it is an odd one.

THAT was actually quite surprising. I didn't feel it because I was in a basement running power tools, but everyone was talking about it by the time I came up stairs. Never heard of an earthquake in Michigan in all the years I have been here. Nothing broken.4.0 in Michigan of all places.
