That would require intelligence to attack.

For a guy that gave me an infraction for stating someone was being an asshole in a report, you certainly are walking some lines here.

Just sayin'

More so when this is what you sent me

The AUP applies to the report post function just as much as it does the rest of the forum. Referring to somebody as an "asshole" is not acceptable, no matter how accurate your description might be.

Gilles Villeneuve?

An amazing driver. Widely regarded as one of the greatest of all time. A man who's greatness isn't taught in schools!

Instead of studying the French, British, or Industrial Revolutions, we should study our nations heros. Gilles Villeneuve was far more important in our nations history then a bunch of people who were important hundreds of years ago in places which the native Canadians of the time didn't know existed! Such a shame that his racing career is not taught in schools.

Off topic: Calling someone an idiot isn't a very cool thing to do.

Back on topic: Driving like Gilles Villeneuve is very cool :)

I hope you are just kidding? Or has that teacher's strike really gotten into the student's heads at this point?

This is how it is in most schools, including mine.

And mine. In some respects, I'm one of those people.

It's a shame that it's so hard to find good videos of his racing. All I've seen of him is his awesome duel against Arnoux (IIRC) at France '79. 👍

...and now back to our topic, the Education System.

(Sorry for derailing the thread, but maybe I can blame Alain "The Professor" Prost for my gaffe.)

Are you two still arguing over whether America should change the education system or not? Now I will admit that I am still in high school, but the way I see it is that America's education system is the way that it is because neither the students nor the teachers care, but that doesn't go for all of them. Some of them do care, and I view myself as the students that do care. And for me being in the UK instead of America, the system is different over here too, and therefore I can't really judge America's educational system too much.

I think the best way to solve the issue with the teachers and the students not caring is that they should give them more reasons to care. Parents should also get involved to reward the students for doing well in school. And also at my school, at the end of each term, about 20 or so students from each year/grade or what ever you call it get chosen to claim a prize, decent ones. They vary from £50 vouchers to spend at popular stores over here like JD, Footlocker, amazon.co.uk, Argos etc. to £60 cash, and the top prize is an iPad or something of equal value by selling it. I am one very lucky student :sly:👍 .

Hey I moved on back on page 2 lol. Kind of surprised he hasn't been banned yet. You would think pretty much a full page of calling someone an idiot and than explaining how stupid they are while giving no input to the actual topic wouldn't be allowed, but I guess I would be wrong.

Well technically he can't be banned because he didn't do anything against the AUP but it's not pleasant to argue with people anyway. If he tries to start another argument with you then I best think you should just ignore him.

Ignore flame bait on gtp? Why I never heard of....

One thing I do see from the past few whatever, there is a communication barrier between pupils and teachers, not that I didn't already know this but rather the lack of 'bend' is what I mean.

What I told my kids "well yeah it's lame and tedious and the teacher is a jerk, guess what? Life only gives you more of the same so suck it up and get it done with grace. After all, it's all too easy right?"

AUP "You will not behave in an abusive and/or hateful manner, and will not harass, threaten, nor attack any individual or any group" and "You will not use profanity in the forums, nor link to content which contains offensive language without sufficient warning"

Seems like he broke 2 rules to me
