Elegance Automotive Guild - Remembering TurnLeft.

You know how companies will give a reward for something like the 1 000 000th customer, well I thought that I would highlight our 500th post, really didn't think we get that may unless I would have posted the 500 myself , the unfortunate :D winner was @ALB123 with this beautiful expose on ..... GOLF ,
Picture 2.png

Now we can't gift card a car because if we could I would have done so with one of @Brewguy44 collection đź‘Ť, so I had to find something that might at least make him forgive me with pulling him out of bed to check what will probably be a non-related post on this thread. So please give a big hand to our own ....

@TurnLeft thanks for sharing an absolute classic piece of music

Tyres: Sports Hard

Seasonal Intermediate Level Winner
Do you know? I'm not 100% sure that using SH tyres will qualify you for another of your coveted trophies or not :odd: I suppose doing 40 push-ups can help make up our minds

Super job Dan :D:tup: And great photo my friend:bowdown:

On another point. @ALB123 and @RMan72. Thank you both for joining me in BG's Club room this morning (late last night for ALB ;)) I had a great time just driving around with you guys :) ALB you were doing very well in what I know is a difficult car to manage. That F40 was looking a little of colour though :odd: But still looking gooood đź‘Ť
RMan. Thanks again for the feedback đź‘Ť Never feel like doing that is a bad thing or won't be appreciated :) I know I have much to learn and practice. Any advice I receive from drivers as skilled as yourself will always be welcomed and valued :cheers:

 I wasn't sure neither but it couldn't win on lower tyres. There's a quiet large PP gap. Anyway I enjoyed racing it. I did the push-ups in advance, just in case. Thank you, TC.

Well, the main aim is to have fun :D And as far as I'm concerned this is the only prerequisite to winning a trophy here:) đź‘Ť
But I do feel quite bad that you've done your push-ups before the committee decided your fate :P So you can have this just now and @TurnLeft will have a proper one for you later.

Thanks for enjoying the car. However you choose to have fun with it my friend :D:cheers:

@Thorin Cain you put in a few good laps this morning, a couple of tweaks to braking points and I'll be chasing you round La Sierra

Thanks :) Although as I remember you were following me round...at a very safe distance  It was good fun, just sometimes I get too comfortable in the car, then think I can push it further :banghead: There's a wall there TC

I do really appreciate the tips

A couple of times in the C1 and BRZ I was right on your tailpipe. It was fun playing cat and mouse, if I dropped back it was only to watch where your breaking points were.
As I said this morning I'll try and run a room this week at La Sierra to help you and others out (probably Tuesday at 10pm BST for an hour or two)
I checked my mileage thing and I've done over 12000 miles there.

Plaintiff:

Defendant:
I wasn't sure neither but it couldn't win on lower tyres. There's a quiet large PP gap. Anyway I enjoyed racing it. I did the push-ups in advance, just in case.

Deliberation:
(very long pause)

Verdict:
According to the rule H-145-658F of the EAG Touring Rule Book, which stipulates that the chosen tires from the EAG can only be applied to EAG related events, we thus award Mr. Dan Bojte the said trophy and condemn Mr. Thorin Cain to reimburse the 40 pushups plus interest (Total of 43.157).

This case is closed and there will be no appeals.

Not yet it's not ;)

Point of order for the Court.
The plaintiff gladly accept the Court's decision. The sentence will be carried out only when the Court can easily define 0.157 of a push-up.

Is that the bit where I collapse face first trying to do 44? :sly:

length of arm (LA) = under arm to wrist, use the following formula

LA * 0.157 = height from floor that you have to raise your body, example LA = 62cm, then

62*0.157= 9.7cm or 97mm , so total of 43 pushups where you raise your body 62 cm, and one of 9.7cm. Hope that clarifies things .

Ok boys, the bets are on, I'll give 100/1 odds that he won't make it to 10, 1000/1 he won't make it to 20, why I'll even put in the Titanic if he makes it out alive.

Wow...I come home to find out that I am the 500th poster in the EAG Garage! đź‘Ť

"First off...I'd like to thank the Academy. Mom, I couldn't have done this without you. And last, and definitely least, I would like to thank the gentleman who was arrested for trespassing on my local golf course. I wouldn't have made the 500th post without you, Mr. Richard Head." :D

@Thorin Cain -- that was a great session we had last night! đź‘Ť I had a boatload of fun...even though I was dozing off toward the very end. I had a difficult time trying to push my BMW 3002 TTii as hard as I wanted. On the second lap with that car I had figured out that I just needed to scrub more speed off before turn in, which I apologize for -- I know that I caused you to screw up a few times because you weren't expecting my actions. It's too bad voice chat wasn't enabled, I would have warned you of my plans to alter my braking points a bit. :embarrassed: It was funny - I think the car I drove after the BMW was the F430 - anyway, I found myself driving it like the BMW quite a bit. I was so tired at that point...I kept telling myself "don't brake so hard...this car can carry more speed into the turns" You really push that NSX-R hard! You were smoking me through the twisty sections. Fortunately, I had more HP or I would have been a microdot in your rear view mirror. The same with your Ferrari California! I was very impressed with your performance in that car. I thought for sure my F430 would be able to take that car, but it didn't. Sorry that I had to leave...We could have had a lot of fun with 3 of us out there. Plus, I never have had a chance to run around a track, for fun, with @RMan72. He really knows La Sierra... đź‘Ť

   Nice speech @ALB123 :) Mr Richard Head...

I had a great time too đź‘Ť should have known better when you had the BMW out :guilty:. STS (Skinny tyre syndrome) really did give you a few issue there but you were doing well for the most part đź‘Ť It did catch me out when I was behind you a couple of times. Looked like it was under control then whooops :scared: Similar story to the F40 and Tsuchiya-san's NSX-R, yours had the power, mine knew how to dance :) It'll take something special to beat @Ridox2JZGTE's Orange Touge Monster in the twisty bits :D

Kept meaning to get back to this. Sorry about the delay.

Unfortunately I work nights Sun-Thurs and I start at 22:00 :( Otherwise I'd be there with bells on đź‘Ť If you see me on PSN and have time to spare for it, drop me a message :)

Nice gold in the Peugeot VGT BTW  I chased your ghost for about 10-12 laps and kept :banghead: Turned off the ghost and got silver, just over half a second behind :) I'm going back for the gold later. Better get a move on or I'm passing you on this one

Edit: No-one said I needed to do the push-ups at the same time. So 23.157 done 20 to go. Wanted to finish on a high :sly:
