***Euro GT500 Championship***Race #3 Thread CLOSING, NEW 1 IS UP!!***

Sorry to continue this on, but this is the last i'll say of this. All i want are peoples views.

So in the object of fairness, heres's the first incident.

First video is showing the whole car, the second one is the bumper cam. I use bumper cam when racing, but i can't speak for the others on that.

Me:

Falcon:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vjuF4YJLV-A

Lennox:

Bigadz:

My excuse is i had no room to give Falcon. I had a car right behind me which i was more concerned about. Lennox brakes, Falcon touches him and brakes suddenly, i slam on my brakes and try to avoid Falcon, but there's such little room it's impossible for me to react in time. Me and Lennox both get touched from behind but we manage to save it. Falcon on the other hand doesn't, and as such i apparently get punished with a warning because i was in violation of this rule:

A:
The behind driver must take all necessary care and responsibility not to run into an ahead driver.

Now i'm happy to accept this, dispite me disagreeing that the incident was unavoidable. But if we look at the corkscrew incident, surely the same rule applys to Falcon? But according to the stewards, it does not. At first it did, then they changed their minds and now apparenly i'm at fault because i took a different line, which i'm perfectly entitled to:

B:
You must establish substantial overlap with the car ahead before they reach the corner’s turn-in point to have the right to drive up their inside, or to expect them to leave inside room for you. At least the front of your car should be up to the driver’s position in the ahead car. The ahead driver has the right to be fully committed to the racing line of their choice without any interference if there was no substantial overlap before he turned in.

Falcon was a good distance behind me, i had no idea he was going to try that. By the time i turn in, he's next to me and i get hit off without any room to move. Now i'm confused as to why i get punished, but Falcon doesn't? If anyone can explain, please do. Apparently me getting bumped off and losing 2 places isn't "harmful" to me, which is strongly disagree with. All i ask for is that both drivers are to be treated equally and that the rules are enforced on both drivers. Alot of confustion has been caused which has lead to frustrastion between me and the stewards, and now they've started threaning me with a poor attitude.

Eppe, i have no problem with you, all i ask for is an explanation, i think that's a fair request. And i think it's only fair others get to see the other incident since you've shown them the corkscrew incident. Lessons can be learned and perhaps save confusion in the future.

And no "stop complaining" replys, i see this request as perfectly justified, all i ask is an honest, open minded and mature response. I'm happy to accept my punishment, but only if both drivers are held to obay the same rules. Thus, Falcon should see punishment for that corkscrew incident.

Opinions and explantions please.

sorry to carry on but you both got a warning no penalties were handed out was they?

just a 0 next to both your names

These penalty discussions is becoming a fun spoiler and we need to stop it. Here is my proposal how to deal with penalties in the future.

If you want to report a racing incident, here is what you shall do.
1, Send a PM to the stewards within 3 hours after finishing the race. The PM shall include lap, corner, including drivers, and you can argue your case.
2, If necessary, the stewards will send a PM to the other involved driver giving him and opportunity to argue his case.
3, The stewards will make a decision which is final and cannot be debated
4, Every PM debating the stewards decision will give 1 championship point deduction for each PM written.

Do not write, discuss, declare, etc, etc, racing incidents in the championship thread. Every post refering to a racing incident will give 1 championship point deduction ---- each. If you get accused by another driver in the thread and post a reply, you also get 1 championship point deduction for each reply you do.

If you write a really offensive PM or post, the deduction can also be higher.

Above is to keep the good spirit in the championship. If you have an issue or feel unfairly treated. Just get over it and look forward to the next race.

Oh do grow up.

I'm asking for an explaination, not for some kid to keep sniping at me then saying "oh don't turn this into an argument". Stop being a hypocrite!

Your the hypocrite for endlessly bringing this up and not growing up when the incident has been done and dusted.:banghead:

Off topic I am not a kid and know how to race in more ways than one plus what you are doing is starting to cheese me off!

Off topic.

Falcon i see you are from Northampton.
Just wondering how far away Northampton is from Silverstone racetrack.
I'm going to the MotoGP in june and might stay in Northampton if its easy to get to the track from there.

Technically I don't live there but do know the area, it is reasonably easy to get there just go down the A43 until you see the signs to Silverstone.

I am doing national karting this year (Known as Super One) so will be in wales that particular weekend so I can only give directions

200th Post!

I'm not worried about finding Silverstone.
I am driving from Ireland so Just looking for a place to stay close to the track and that has easy access to the track without having to use a mode of transport.

Only 1 lecture left and then it´s trial mountain all day long :sly:

If you're not able to make it for some reason you MUST inform the stewards in GOOD TIME BEFORE the race so that we can arrange for people on the waiting list or set the rooms maximum players to the right value. Otherwise we will be having problems with r*tards or i*iots joining the room.
Preferably wednesday late or very early thursday?
How does that sound?

So far I think only Mathias has informed about
not able to make the race. But a good example
to do it in time.👍

Are here others that can´t make it on thu,
or otherwise will quit the series, just let us know.

Pretty much disconnections also last week.....
If You guys are committed, put Your systems together.
I think there isn´t a place in EU anymore that
provides so bad connections that they couldn`t
be fixed.

Search Google for fixes.👍

There was a bad link first, but this new should
work without any signups.
But if it needs google account, it only takes a few minutes to make 1.

Does the Formula Work itself out? I added my time but doesn't seem to have changed the standings

This sounds like a good plan, it still gives the fair chance for people to put forward cases which may be legitimate but once the decision is made it has to be accepted and not disputed.

Right I am off to start testing at Trial..

If my team mate can't make it next race can I get someone to fill in for the team for a week? Got to keep us at 1# :D
