Didn't realize there was an image hosting option on here, I've been droping in for a long time but only recently started posting. I can stick them on your host if you wish, should stop my lot getting scared at all the visitors wandering through the console section LOL...to be honest if there isn't an orderly crew my site will probubley crash anyway.

It dose, theres an image upload size option when you select your files anything above 1 meg and 1020Xsomething or other needs you to buy the premium service.

Oooh.

Yeah, I notice now that there a limit of 1.53MB. Which, did not matter with GT4 PM images.

This is a whole new ball game though.

Nice one Hereward. Do you have the fist image in 1920 x 1080? It's only coming up as 1280 x 800 for me!

I did that image first at the size I was asked to do....give us a min I'll just resize it and post it up, I'll post another link when I've done.

Why do you need to resize these? Can't the PS3 or a PC just use the image "as is"?

Obviously, having a small image on a big display (such as 720p/1080i/1080p HDTVs), you'd see image degradation if you viewed it in full size. But, why bring down the size of a large image?

Forgive my ignorance please.

I do have to give PD some credit for keeping the lid on this one. We all went through the list of Ferrari’s that we would like to see in the game but nobody picked the F1 out of the mix. How the heck did they keep it quite? How did they make hot monkey love to that car without someone seeing it?

As much as this game is a rehash of many of the same old stuff, it seems to still be all about the cars. Put the right cars in and most of us will be pleased. How many copies did PD just sell by adding the F1? Did we have this much love when they added Drifting, PhotoMode or B-Spec, how about just because they added a London track? Simply put….NO. Cars, Cars, Cars….We apparently want an automotive history lesson that is fun to boot. Agree or not?

 great post!

The original images are way larger than 1080p, so two reasons really:

1. Get the file size down a bit
2. Make the image the same as the native resolution of the display

I'm sure the PS3 is perfectly capable of scaling an image, but I'd rather have my PC do that and squirt out an image that's a 1:! pixel map for my display. Just seems like the right thing to do, that's all, regardless of whether or not it makes a diference!

Just got the new image at 1080p - thanks Hereward 👍

Yeah anyone browsing GT planet on there ps3 should have little problems selecting these wallpapers with very little degradation of image quality now......May do one more later with a little artistic license.
Oh and I noticed on the "hidden" screenshots, the use of focus.......that has to have been done with an in game photomode unless they put the grabs through photoshop or Iphoto...Amar please could you save a race replay then see if theres a photomode hidden away on GT5p?

Wow, I just loaded these onto my PS3, and they look absolutely stunning on my 46" display - can't wait to see this game in motion! They also work really well with alba's GT5 theme he made, which I'm sure most of you on here are already using anyway ;)

Once again thanks for the update. The interior pic of the 111R is very nice, High Speed Ring looking great. Also OTS can be applied to all stock cars?

Jordan, could you guys please put a tab across the top near "News" "Forums" "Guides" "TV"? It would make it so simple for us to get to the gallery. I posted a thread about this a couple of weeks ago. I suppose it died off.

Unless, one knows the web address to the gallery, I don't see a way to get to the gallery.

I asked the same thing before and Jordan explained in this link dave :)👍

Hope it helps...

Got a couple on my gtpalnet.net album in 1080p. These scale exactly to 1920x1080p so like someone above was saying wouldn't the PS3 show them in full screen without having to re-size them.

Page 1 now!

So, all we have to do is just resize it down to 1080 high, that will also reduce the file size, right? I looked at the properties of one of Hereward's images and it was down to a bit over 400 KB, down from the 7MB of the original.

I'm not going to complain about saving space and keeping quality at the same time ;)

Amar

Many thanks for the QTS screen shots, they will most certainly help in starting to put together a new tuning guide.

Thanks

I have a qustion for amar if he's willing and able to answer it (actually, anyone who's played the Japanese version might be able to work it out):

Have A-Spec points returned?

And if so, can you find out the value of a race before you're committed to it?

I've been annoyed with GT4 many times in the past where I've purchased a car looking for a challenging race only to find it's worth about 10 A-Spec points an I can't back out as it would destroy my win ratio. While I'm not a stickler for 100%, I do like it to be an accurate representation of how good I am.

Hey Amar, or anyone else who has got the game. This question is really bugging me. In the following picture, you can clearly see the in car dials and speedos are on, i.e. the inteiror lights are lit up.....is there a way to turn these on, or are they on permanantley, because ive seen some cockpit veiws where the dial lights are definatley not on. It looks so much better when they're on, especially in the R8!
