wait what's the difference between professional mode and the other mode, is the AI smarter? are the AI cars more powerful?

The pysics are totaly diverent and if you get even one wheel on the grass you will spin out.

what exactly is the main differences between professional and original?

AI is faster and your own car is less forgiving. Go off the track and you're screwed. You'll spin and/or get stuck (go very, very slow) in the gravel.

In normal mode, going off the track won't spin you that easily and the gravel and grass will only slow you down a little bit.

Penalties exist in both modes, if an event has them enabled.

You must get less grip on the boards as well, u know those red and white vibratey things, I can't believe I forgot wht they are ment to be called!:scared:

I think he means The "Curbs"! :)

(Edit - lol, sorry by the time I could finish reading the page, and write, there were already 4 answers! :P) And I am pretty sure it's usually called curbs, but then RumbleStrip works too.. :)

Know I'm confused...
I do think you mean these babies:

That's a curb.

It's the optimum point where the racing line meets the curbs..

(EDIT - damn it, so many people replying to one person, IT IS CONFUSING!) :D

Can't wait to see if you race as fast as you talk/type ;)

Well... I don't know how fast I am compared to the rest of you since I've never raced online against you all... But, I can say that when I play online in MotorStorm I usually finish in the top 5 (If there is, say, 11 others), so I would say I don't race as fast as I post on this thread (We're just gonna have to wait and see:))

Anyways, the drifting part of the update sounds good! Bad=Booooooooooh:dopey:

Don't take it too seriously dude.
Just a bit of friendly banter.

Not too good at drifting myself, so that's going to be a challenge

I know... But still (You know what I mean). And now you say it. I wonder if there will be online drift events. (I know it has been said before). Could be cool though. (Even though I myself ain't that good a drifter either):)

Im not liking the "it cant be beaten in professional physics mode". Why is this? Is it just so hard that you need to be a perfect racer or is it literally impossible meaning polyphony only intend you to do it on standard physics.
Id much rather have the game on professional physics full stop. Id also like the challenge to try and beat everything on pro physics.
I think im a capable driver. Who knows will wait and see next friday.

Nice idea. Maybe when private rooms arrive we will be able to make any kind of event we like.

Here's hoping anyway

Guys, by the way, PD says they are working on Private rooms, are they talking about FULL GT5 game or a patch for the GT5P?

Yes, this is slightly worrying as much of my time playing GT, and indeed GT5P is spent just driving around on my own on N2 tires. I can understand that they want equality in the online rankings, though to be honest JP version where you can choose your tyre time seems to work perfectly well. Perhaps a Free Run mode where your time isn't uploaded is the answer. Anyway, the game isn't on the shelves yet so anything can happen, we'll just have to wait and see.

Yeah free run or practice or something , I don't really get it , you tune your car up then what? 💡
