Best Lap - 1:12:328 (234th)

Changed Drivetrain Acc Sensitivity = 5

I'm done with it! This event is almost a copy of a previous one, never liked that one, so you guess my opinion on this one... :grumpy:

Despite, a great tune, just struggled with the brakes a bit, not very responsive...

Very nice time indeed. 1.2 seconds faster than me. I wasn't sure what to do about the brakes for this challenge. I made them work. Thats pretty much it. They aren't the best brakes I've created ever but they got me gold. Thats all that counts really.

👍 TY! Please don't take it as a critic, the flaw is on the car, the brakes have failed me several times, including in Ascari 10 Lap Super License...

Used:

Drivetrain Acc. Sensitivity - 5
TC - 1
Active Steering - Mild

Can be done, but you have to work for it...

@Pete05 - Your Focus has undergone weight loss surgery, had an injection of steroids directly into the engine to pump up the output and had some fat moved around the car to give it better balance. All I've got to do now is fine tune the movement of the legs and it will be ready to fight with the other cars around Bathurst. It stands a good chance yet. :)

Cool. Is there anyway i can subscribe or save your thread? I too use a ds3.
Hi Bluesman. Shaunm80 is right, there is a "watch thread" button at the top. That will notify you of any new posts to this garage, or if someone quotes or likes something you wrote. Shaun has a HUGE list of cars on page 1. All of them are tuned using traction control set to 1 for ds3 users like myself (except the FITT competition entries). Enjoy your testing!

It was the #4085 Tune :) and it was good i got the points before i start to hate drifting again
This event was certainly more difficult than previous drift events.

Im glad you liked the lotus tune(s) They are great fun. I found the 450PP entertaining in that lotus. Nice to see such a low PP car doing so well against higher PP cars.

Indeed, I enjoyed most was the cornering speed, I only needed to brake on the hairpin, other then that it was almost flat out... If im not not wrong, got a 13 second difference to 2nd place...

The 400PP did a low 1:05 in Tsukuba...

1st test - a sloppy 1:23:xxx with lots to improve. Shaun, I believe the Final Gear needs to be adjusted, it ran out on the long straight... Please check it when you have some spare time... 👍

Will do another run tomorrow with lower FG (3.200)

Hopefully the transformation works out for gold.
Have you kept the original tune we did on the list as 'Pete05 version'?

I had to change the suspension settings slightly as the weight transfer was different when I put the car on the diet. I have also been using my latest knowledge from the Focus challenge around London in it. It will still feel like your car, just different numbers. LSD is still virtually the same as your tune.

How do i set the transmission? It won't allow me to select the numbers you have for each gear...

I also read to start with 6th gear and work your way down to first. Does that matter? This morning i did something like move top speed to max, adjusted final gear to 5.500 then put max speed down to min. I could get all the numbers except for first gear wich was 3.064 instead of 3.062. Would that slight number difference affect how the car shifts? It seemed to shift kinda funny...

In some point of game version(s) some tuners used it. Every tuner has its way of setting the transmission, has of some cars also...

This morning i did something like move top speed to max, adjusted final gear to 5.500 then put max speed down to min.

The problem is that if you change the top speed value it also changes the gear ratios. Tuners, also @shaunm80 included, adjust the to minimum and then it's easier to change top speed only by changing the Final Gear...
If you follow the lines on the previous post, everything should fit right...

I could get all the numbers except for first gear wich was 3.064 instead of 3.062. Would that slight number difference affect how the car shifts? It seemed to shift kinda funny...

Those small value differences may be related with rim size, +1 inch adds 1 up to the value and beyond... Please check if the tune you are using has standard rims and you are using +2 inch up rims or vice-versa...

👍 Hope it helps... :)

EDIT: Almost forgot, please check this - Transmission Guidelines for Exeter GT Tunes

Praiano also has a transmission guide (with pics) on his garage.
