Cwr . Whats NAT? Mine is 2. But for a few weeks ago i was NAT 3, then i had chat problems. Btw my first race today I was leading the hole time. But fastest lap 2.11.x! Did a 5 lap warm up and did not get any wors than 2.07.x so RBE is still going strong

I'll be back in a bit, sometimes I'm seeing you all and sometimes not. It's a lot of fun when I'm not in the sand. 512 has a small margin for error, I'm still working on the tune.
Doggyollie, I've dropped the ride height to -20/-20, and I use taller gears than stock. Second gear is pretty tall, I only use it out of the hairpin, it seems to accelerate better when you don't have to shift so quickly out of there. I think that's the only place I use second unless I've made an error. R2 on the front and R1 on the rear, otherwise the nose just doesn't stick for me, but I'm down a little on top-end power.
NoOneInteresting is faster than me in the 512, as well as a few others. I think my best laps are in the :08.XX range in the races. I managed to finish one in 10:54XXX, behind a 10:45.7XX, GTP_UnDutchable and some other dude were flying!

This event rocks! So many great races today, particularly with the gtrp crew... just had a 5 lap battle with Bul_GTRP that was one of the best since the days of 600pp on S2's.
lap times range from 2'02.7 (recovering from a lap 1 double punt) to 2'12's when leading by a good distance... typical around a 2'07 - 2'08 c.f. low 2'05's in free run.

I'm a motorsport/following my brothers career fan but they don't run in the winter, so I try to keep up to date with the football!
I pretend to support Fulham, don't know if they played, don't know who their players are or anything. But none of my friends support them so it's only fair to represent another London club!
I am thinking of buying a season ticket for St Albans, it's only about £150 haha!

Good to hear the old 512BB is doing okay in this event! I've had a win out of a 12 car race although I was lucky. Last lap, I was running in 3rd not far behind 1st and 2nd. Saw 2nd go off in a cloud of smoke then just before the hairpin, 1st slowed right down (presumably a racer with a conscience slowing for 2nd). Well, I didn't hesitate to take the gift!

Finally had some good races with a few other GTP members, thanks! (I bailed and then called it a night on that last one after getting tapped into the grass while I was in second and steadily gaining on the leader. It was just too darn frustrating...)
Ran into a few smaller races with GTP_Roombota, but I think we only finished the one race together after a couple disconnects etc. We took gold (Roombota) and silver (me) for GTP, which was nice.
There are a few (non-GTP) drivers out there with a frustrating strategy. They've put everything into power and nothing into grip, or so it seems. Once they blast pass you on one of the straights with seemingly impossible speed, they proceed to progress through all the bends so slowly you want to scream, yet sliding around so much it is hard to pass them again cleanly. You risk either a) seeming like a punting jerk if you don't manage the pass just perfectly or b) having one of them take you out as you try to pass.
But all in all a fun couple of hours. Definitely my fav. event since the Spec III update (and that's saying a lot since I despise Suzuka).
I have taken to pulling to the side and progressing slowly enough to let everyone pass before the first turn. It makes it hard to catch the leaders because they can get quite a lead, but I've found I almost always gain 4 or 5 positions back immediately after the bumper-car-fest.
As to the 512 in this event:

Not blazingly fast, but the sound and feel are worth the mid-pack running. IMHO there will be some who can win with it.

I noticed after the update, i saw the odd 512BB, more recently it seems more people are begin to give this car a go, it's not as bad as most people probably think

i agree on some points, but i don't think people have set ups for power i think the problem is the difference in the cars itself.
i have never seen a F430 blast by me on a straight like the California does but the california swings with her tail a lot more aggresive and that's the part were the F430 is really strong. and it's a hell of a lot more difficult to do a clean overtake in the curves then on a long straight.
