I had a feeling it would be. People could finish in the top 5 easily with Virign/Lotus/HRT before the patch. Now that they've added fuel simulation for the AI, it'll be too easy.

Well, I just finished a race (I had started the weekend pre-patch) and it wasn't as easy as you lot are making out. Malaysia, no aids, Hardcore mode basically. So, unless the patch doesn't work with weekends that already started, I beg to differ.

Yep patch is out mate at least for PS3 UK and Aus not sure about everywhere else.
Just finished my first GP post patch (Canada, career 1st season).
Seems like the AI has changed a bit, they definatly move over alot more during practice and qualifying, almost to the extent that they move over too much.
So far so good.
No punctures
All AI pitted during race
Seems like AI now suffer from fuel load at the beginning of race not like previously.
I pitted with other cars in the pit lane and didn't get held in the pits for a crazy amount of time.
The only thing so far that has me worried is that my PS3 crashed 14 laps into the race (I run 40% races). This has never ever happened to me before. Holding down the on/off button didn't turn it off, I had turn it off with the main power switch on the rear of the console. I hope this is just an unfortunate coincidence and doesn't happen again.
Anyway 👍 to codemasters for releasing the patch.
Edit: Should have said I completed the race the second time. No problems with PS3 crashing.

Just played it.
Is it me or does my G27 feel better.
Since hearing of the fuel bug I switched off fuel sim.
I swear now I can feel heavier steering progressively getting lighter as the game continues.
I normally do 100% races but decided to give a 20% race a shot.
The pit Crew released me right in front of barrichello with no contact. Awesome.
Rear view mirrors are now much smoother to the point that there actually useful.
No puncture for me yet and reflections are better too.
Everyone pitted too.
People may have to max out the difficulty if they haven't already.

G25 feels different to me, at first it just felt lighter but after about 50 laps i'm sure it has a better feel, hard to explain but it feels like you can feel the car underneath you more.

Theres a Championship race tonight, if we dont all have the update surely we cant race.

If it doesnt fix punctures online it kinda sucks....ish.

Ahh dear, it seems like CM have released an unfinished patch to correct an unfinished game. Anyone know why the force feedback has been dumbed down? After all, I don't remember anyone complaining that it was too heavy.
On the good side of things I was delighted to see that they've changed the timing so that it displays the gap to the cars in front and behind. Weird design decision not to do this in the first place though.

Can't say I noticed an issue with my DFGT on FFB, it has never felt that strong in the game.

So I was encouraged to set the damage back on (expert difficulty), since they removed the puncture issue.
Race was going wel (10th position in first season @ turkey) and a pretty large gap behind and in front of me. I pit on the 12th lap (50% race) and come back out in 18th behind two other guys. I pass them quickly and resume at increasing pace in 16th. The rest of the race however, nobody comes back out in front or behind me. But I stay positive since I beat the the 18th place expected by the team.
At lap 28/29 I hear a big bang, and yes: puncture on the right rear after a perfectly normal race. I dive into the pit and come out 19th right behind Alguersuari. A bit further back is Kubica in 7th. I get no blue flag but I see Alguersuari slowing down to let Kubica pass. I pass him and get blue flagged, but Kubica is still a bit behind and he will probably be slowed down a bit by lapping the Torro Rosso, so I continue full throttle. A few corners later (Kubica still behind Alguersuari) I get a penalty of 20 seconds. Race result: 24th.
Does this patch fix some bugs? Definitely
