Akira ACSo ...
Blazing through the game, thus far I noticed that cutting corners have become more restrictive and punishable, which is a good thing for online but got me completely by surprise on my first full length race (Started career with Lotus, normally as second with Kimi as first) and costed me the race, basically (2 penalties in the corner after sector 2 in Melbourne, 2 drive through, was on 6 th place, while going for 4th, good chances of making it however I give it up, because I should have got a bit more used to the game).
Restarting full length career, in Expert, Pro is far too much for me and my setup (a wheel is required for that, I'm playing on a DS3 emulating a 360 controller on a PC, is not bad but for this kind of game and the kind of difficulty it throws you need analogue pedals, force feedback, good shift and clutch pedals to go for pro, otherwise is really difficult to accomplish).
AI has improved in some areas, however they still lag a bit at the beginning but they are more prone to mistakes, and the difficulty challenge between the difficulty settings is spot on (now Expert is not a bit of a harder mode, and Pro is ... well is mental). AI also seems to have improve their strategy (full length wise), their behaviour and you don't have to be as careful while overtaking them because they seem to be a bit more aware of where you are on relation to the corner and the track, just a bit though, nothing significant and it improves the experience because the AI makes it less of a fault by the AI simply not able to cope with what the player does.
Apart from that, technically wise is identical to F1 2012, apart from a few improvements in tire wear and fuel management. Graphically is superior to F1 2013, not significantly but is still noticeable (water effect, textures and models seems to be a bit higher res, but I'm guessing they still keep the chain in some features on PC for the sake of performance, it runs and looks better than F1 2012, in my i3 2120+HD7850 it can run at 16xAA, everything in ultra without V-synch, it keeps frames at +50 and my rig [as I consider it] is as budget as it gets).
Oh, and historical challenges are amazing, so are the time trials, a real treat if you like time-trialling.
go to steam, go to f1 2012, go to community discussions and you will see that its a broken game that they refuse to fix. Not only that, 2011 was also broken. Don't supportthe PC versionCodemasters.
After a great F1 game, buy game stock car? Does that have the full 2013 F1 roster? Tracks? Classic Cars? Scenario modes?
Nah.
Surely the final race of the 1976 Grand Prix between Hunt and Lauda would be fairly boring seeing as Lauda retired from the race after lap 2......
Is it a proper racing game with valid physics instead of toycar physics? Yes.
Can you mod it to suit your needs? Yes.
That's more important than having everything right out of the box.
Custom helmets.
Screw the rules, I wear what I want.
I'm so far behind with all of this. Will there be a nextgen (PS4, XB1) version of this game? Does it make much sense to get it now?
swiftwillyDon't buy it on steam/PC.
have you not read anything from the 2011 and 2012 Codemasters F1 forums?

My F1 2012 was ok, but have not checked the forums. Have to admit I didn't play it 100 hrs. I have GSC 2012 & thought the phyics were good. I also have Formula Truck for a nice diversion. For me Rfactor 2 is my favorite at the moment even though it still has a long way to go.
So the game is out, and I've been trying to pre-order it from amazon.com (United states) but they say it doesn't release until the 30th of November. Would it be wise to buy it from the PSN store? Never downloaded an entire game before.
Codemasters has advised that the physical retail release of F1 2013 in the USA and Canada will be given a revised date due to logistic issues specific to SKUs for the two territories.
Awesome, I'll do that then. Now for the PS store to release f1 2013 already. Probably later tonight? Havn't been able to find a release time for it at all.
Nevermind, looked on the store, it says release date is on the 8th.
I just had 3 days off in a row from Lowe's, which rarely happens. (Wish that happened after it was released). I work tomorrow, which is good timing, 10-3 est tomorrow, let it download all night, and play when I get home from work. Just need to pray for stable internet connection throughout the night. I'm sure it's gonna take a good while to download, and the internet stays stable at night since no one would go on it.
If the internet does go out, do I have to restart the whole download? Or will it start from wherever it left off.
It starts off wherever it left off so no need to worry about that.
