F1 201X - Updates & News DiscussionF1 2010-2016

Not really sure frame rate wise. They have held back on Ps3 footage though, citing the need to tweak and enhance that version to be smoother whilst still looking good so expect them to be closer this year.

I'm most likely to buy this for pc..I'm just worried about the wheel support on pc,because at the moment due to certain patch, I have lost all the ffb on my g27 in 2012 pc version.. No matter what i do it stays that way..

The one thing that keeps me from buying any codemasters games for PC is the requirements, which I always fear is far higher then say rFactor.

Thats one thing the dev's have said. They have increased the likely hood of the AI crashing and increased the chance of safety car coming out. Apparently on 2012 only Singapore had the correct SC chance so now all tracks will have it.

Well what can i say, F1 2013 will be another let down. Why? Cuz everybody is talking only about the classic cars. But for me F1 2013 game should be in center of attention. F1 2010, 2012 were really good, specially 2010 but since then it starting to go backwards...
And now they are trying to hide it with the classic cars/tracks...
There are millions of mods for classic seasons for PC...

Maybe because its easily the biggest thing coming to a licensed F1 title? That was something I enjoyed doing in F1CE (as have many others) so I'm glad I'll be able to do the same here.

And where did you get this humongous claim? In this one post, you honestly come off to me like the typical PC Sim elitist who has to talk down a Console game at every opportunity.

So how is it? I presume you have played it? No? Right then.

There are absolutely 0 classic mods for any of the official F1 games. I presume you are talking about rFactor which is not available on PS3 or Xbox 360 so thats completely invalid.

Come back when the game has been released and tell us about it then.

Yeah, F1 2010 was a blast... for those that enjoy arcade physics, fake AI and game bugs.

IMO the best F1 game for the PS3 was F1 2012

1 - F1 2012
2 - F1 championship edition
3 - F1 2011
4 - F1 2010

What do you mean going backwards? I admit that there hasn't been much change since F1 2010 but how does that make it worse than what it already was?

I won't buy it day one waiting for a feedback from the forum regarding wheels playability, which made me skept f1 2012 after i treid the demo with my dfgt on ps3. Couldn't really play it. So i'll rely on the comments of someone of you hoping to have some good advices for f1 2013. thanks in advance.

Disc, if I buy it, because PSN charge 1.5 the price for downloadable games. £40 in a store, £60 on the PSN?

No brainer: Disc for me. I like to have a physical backup that doesn't rely on redownloading.

Which are racers going to buy - the game as dlc, or hard disk?

I am thinking disk so that I may also use on my future PS4

The PlayStation 4 doesn't support backwards compatibility so your PS3 game discs won't work on your PS4.

As for me, I want the Classic Edition and can't find a retailer that has the option for a disc copy of that edition in the US so I may end up buying the PSN version which does have an option for the Classic Edition. I'll find out closer to launch I suppose.

the game is already out and on codemaster forum many individuals are already playing it. in generale ps3 version has the same 2012 issues and wheels seems to play again badly but mainly trolls and people moaning. i'll wait some serious feedback over wheels.

Then you'll never buy the game. Just like any comment or opinion section of any product, only those with a gripe really have anything to say. Those that enjoy the game, typically play the game and don't comment. If $60-75 is too much of a risk for you, so be it.

I haven't agreed with 90% of what I've read on the Codemasters forums. People still think that 2012 has understeer issues, as we discussed earlier. This baffles me, but it's their opinion and I don't doubt they fully believe it's an issue.
