Does anyone know how much the tickets will be?

This is what I'm waiting on also. Have friends that live in Austin and trying to plan a trip to visit them and check out the inaugural Austin GP.

Sach
Same. I might be heading to UT for a doctorate in a couple of years and I already have friends there. It would be a great excuse to get down there and check out the area. 💡

I've just signed up as a subscriber at www.circuitoftheamericas.com. I chose the ticket option as my interest to get the latest news.👍

Progress update from Austin:

- Crews are working on construction around the clock
- Concrete for the first two floors of the main building has already been poured
- Space for the podium is already clearly visible in the second floor of the main building
- Slab for the main grandstand will be done this week
- Retaining wall around the circuit is complete
- Circuit outline is clearly visible
- Surfacing has not begun yet, but will come soon

That's not going to be a starting price. Like I said, the $5,000 tickets will likely be for the Paddock Club - the corporate guests.

I'm sure it will be the standard rates all the other races get. Round $500 for weekend grandstand passes, bout $100 for grass seating, and several thousand for paddock passes.

I hope they'll announce when the tickets go on sale beforehand. It would be a nightmare if they opened the box offices without warning, and the tickets sold out before I knew they were even on sale.

Consruction of the main building is absolutely flying along:

The way you worded this post makes it seem like you are completely ignorant. Oval tracks aren't the only type of tracks here in the US if you actually bothered to look or do any research.

To be fair, this post is over a year old and is from before the track layout was revealed. I'm not even sure if the user who posted it still posts on GTP.

Considering that apparently American's only do oval racing, they actually have some of the best racetracks in the world, I'd expect this track to be epic aswell, due to elevations of the existing land.

Tickets are going on sale:
Circuit of the Americas 'Select Seating Waitlist' is now available

To reserve your spot on the official Circuit of the Americas waitlist for luxury suite and exclusive seating opportunities, please follow the link below. The link will allow you to input your contact information and interest level for Select Seating opportunities available through Circuit of the Americas.

Members of the Select Seating Waitlist will be able to buy Premium Seating at the Circuit of the Americas when it goes on sale March 1st.

Select Seating includes a variety of premium features: covered seating, great sightlines, priority parking, food and beverage options and more. If you are not interested in Select Seating opportunities, stay tuned for future announcements.

As you register for the waitlist, you'll be asked to pay a $100 deposit. This deposit applies to a spot on the waitlist, regardless of the amount of seats you're interested in purchasing.
I'm guessing that it's kind of like a concert pre-sale. By joining the waiting list, you will be able to purchase tickets to the race before they go on sale to the wider public. I don't know too much about it, so the best place to go will probably be here, or to contact the venue directly.

So March 1st is the day tickets go on sale. That gives me plenty of time to save up for a good package. Hopefully there will still be plenty of good seats after the pre-sale goes up.

Edit: I'm seeing on COTA's site that individual tickets go on sale in "early summer". And that these seat licenses go on sale on March 1.

Missed a few:
Mid-Ohio
Sears Point
Heartland Park
Road Atlanta

Also, most of the current ovals have road course variants. This includes the famed Daytona Road Course.

Can we please stop quoting posts over a year old? Especially ones that were written by someone who doesn't even post on GTP anymore. Any racing fan knows that there are good race tracks stateside. Indy and Daytona road courses are not good race tracks though.

What? The person that was quoted posted two days ago and he's currently online.

Anybody have a guess as to how much seats will cost when all is said and done?
I've heard that it will be anywhere between $100 for general admission (you have to supply your own seats) through to $5,000 for the Paddock Club (which is really only for coroproate guests). Seats in the main grandstand may cost up to $1,000.

What?!, I guess I won't be going this year for F1. maybe I'll catch the Moto GP run instead. On the speed channels website it says the Moto GP race is now this year.

Judging by other circuit prices (which all seem to share similar pricing regardless of the location (bar the big races)), I'm guessing you could get a seat in the grandstands from $200-$800.
