After watching the video with Fanatec's SMUG attitude it leaves a lot to be desired. I can see now why orders are 6 months behind.

Who says that Germans are dry and have no sense of humour :dopey:

I loved the silliness of the while thing, right down to the the dodgy taped out Fanatec name on his polo showing just the letter "T". If anything its great to see you having a bit of fun and enjoying yourself with ISR and some role playing to put a less serious front on things.

People will always moan, sometimes with justification but I'm happy to see things progressing and Fanatec clearly will be a serious force to be reckoned with in the future for sim and racing fans.

I also love how you duped us all with the twitter comment from Codemasters and not a single person picked up on the possibility of an F1 wheel.

One thing I will ask Thomas is why did nothing ever come about getting Fanatec Representatives and easing your workload using community members with perks?

Anyways, great to see all the new things in the pipeline and look forward to August and Gamescon.

Most of Europe actually. But he at least tried to break the mould here . I am sure he wore those shades just so he could have a good look at jessica's ****

AAhh This explains some of your previous posts .:P

The more Sim gear on the market the better , good to see a company with good forward thinking .

I did :dopey:

Beside this, I have to say I am very, very disappointed about the CSS show up. After all the tease I was expecting a real prototype and finally, nothing :grumpy:
As I was expecting, the new product line just has delayed the work on the CSS... :banghead:

I want to try the elite wheel so bad >_<. the internals look very interesting, i wonder how much better the force feedback delivery feels.

No, 911wheel.com website explains how the "Rep" structure was to work but as far as I know nothing ever came of it. Maybe something can be done from selected community members with business experience and product knowledge regards improvIng customer support/services.

As for my estimations in this thread Thomas himself was surprised by the accuracy and I have the PM's to prove it.

Ceth sorry if I missed your point, I was feeling that if a FM4 collaboration wasn't for happening the the next likely developer would of been Codies as they have several racing games and are multi platform.

I know how you feel Thrustmaster pulled that same card. :grumpy:

Good work Fanatec those products look excellent as expected. 👍

It's disappointing to hear the shifter is many months away because of all these new wheels... it's definitely the missing piece to the Fanatec GT2/CSP setup.

I definitely wouldn't buy any of the new wheels in that video, even though the idea of a bigger wheel rim is enticing. The hard plastic rim is a huge turn-off, but the wheel itself is also very ugly. Race car wheels are ugly because they're built strictly for utility and only the driver ever sees it; a game controller on the other hand lives in your living room and should either look classy or keep a low profile. A high-contrast painted hunk of plastic with buttons on it is an eye-sore. Just my opinion.

It doesn't seem the handbrake would be easily mountable to a wheel stand, so I was excited about that but now it doesn't look like it would be of much use to me. I guess I can stop searching for news for this stuff, now, and just stick with what I have until I go balls-out and build a cockpit (maybe next year).

Okay, get this Darin states the handbrake is analogue. I assume it was with FM4 he noticed this but why do they question if it might work with consoles when it is clear they used it on FM4 and as can be seen the handbrake is not connected to the wheel so as Tommy points out is likely connected to the CSP.

You just have to look at Darin's and Shaun's smile back to Tommy.
So to me this means games could be okay on consoles but may need an update for support, though it clearly won't be restricted to PC only.

All consoles have pressure sensitive face buttons where the e-brake is usually mapped to.

I'm assuming the guy in the video just doesn't have a clue. If these are USB peripherals.. well, that would be ridiculously stupid. I highly doubt it, and would expect it to connect to the wheel or daisy chain in somehow. There's two empty purple ports on my GT2...

(Edit) Not sure it even matters, by the time these things hit the market the Xbox 720 and PS4 will be out.

(Edit) Oh, also, it's hilarious that the chick in the video just hard-balls Thomas about the customer support, it was totally and completely deserved. I don't know what I think about the routine, is this Thomas guy just completely off the wagon or what?

Watch closely the purple port is NOT connected on the FM4 cockpit.
Also please stop being silly with your expectations on release date.

Shifter is analog? What's going on there. No need for that IMHO. It's either engaged or not.

Sorry, I thought he was talking about the e-brake (being analog and not working with consoles) not the shifter?? I'm just confused I guess.

Can't take a joke? It's not even that baseless, you may play Wii U before you try the shifter based on what I heard in the video.

I haven't had time to watch the video yet, but the standard Fanatec H-shifter is analog as well. If you've ever taken one apart you can see that internally it's an analog joystick that clicks into predefined detents. That's also why it's important to calibrate the shifter before first use. That programs and saves the analog values that correspond to each gear. Perhaps that's the only reason the ClubSport shifter is analog; to mimic the way the existing shifter works and for ease of calibration.

Not exactly. Thrustmaster came with a real shifter. Even if ISR couldn't show it, at least they were able to test it and they said it was great (I quote them: "probably one of the best shifter on the market, if not the best").

If Thrustmaster release their shifter first and if it is as good as ISR claims, I'll certainly go for this one instead of the Fanatec I was planning to buy.
Sorry, too much wait now.

is the shifter going to be a combo sequential aswell? i remember fanatec saying that if it wouldnt compromise things they would add it in

I'll gladly use the standard shifters that come with the GT2 for console gaming and pc gaming for now. Whoever releases a shifter first gets my business as I want it mainly for pc gaming. Rfactor 1 & 2, iRacing, GT Legends and other sims.

It looks like Thrustmaster will be first, but who knows. I'm still shocked that both companies didn't have one completed and available for sale.

Well, Thoma... I mean Mr. T certainly pulled a Thrustmaster with those Shifter shots. And the F1 wheel looks good.

Damnit, was decided on the T500 and now there is the CSR Elite coming.
What to do?

EDIT: 500 for the CSR Elite (which of course will be in both USD and Euro) and then another 200 for CSP (if you want those).
So 700 euro vs 450 for T500.
DAMN DAMN DAMN

Will have to check out the video later. I'm definitely interested in a Fanatec wheel. Almost bit on the GT2 w/CSP but since E3 was around the corner I wanted to see if any new wheels from them, or anyone, would come out being that Kinect's head tracking (generally a core PC sim thing) was already mentioned. We did get new wheels, and even the Madcatz one is tempting but that CS Elite wheel has me drooling!
