The Elite wheel seems to have 3x cables going into it.
So I assume that is power, shifter and pedals.

Again this would look like the handbrake is indeed connecting to the pedals.

Damnit, was decided on the T500 and now there is the CSR Elite coming.
What to do?

EDIT: 500 for the CSR Elite (which of course will be in both USD and Euro) and then another 200 for CSP (if you want those).
So 700 euro vs 450 for T500.

now i don't know what to do because i can feel that the csr elite will be better than the t500rs. the worst thing is that we don't know how much waiting time we are looking at

Thrustmaster might release an updated version of the T500 after the Fanatecs new wheel have been released.

Well, 700 is out of my range anyways.
So I think I'm gonna go with the T500 anyways.
It's a little above my budget but I'll stretch since I feel it's worth it.
Especially since I play GT5

I think that some people on here need to back off of Thomas. The dude is working his ass off to make great products. New companies go through troubles, especially when they blow up much quicker than anticipated. I think the video gave a lot of insight and it was nice to see a CEO that wasn't full of himself and able to have fun (not to mention poke fun at himself). I for one would rather wait a little bit longer for the CSS and know that it is made properly than have Fanatec push out some garbage that will be problem riddled and unreliable.

I ordered (GT2 + Clubsport) on January 5th, I knew they were on back order. 2 weeks ago I sent a polite email asking when my order will ship, in return I received a polite email stating it will be in May.

Care to explain left? You posted this on April 15th on Another Fanatec wheel arrives. So which is it, December, or back-ordered January like you stated in your above quote? And you should look at the other thread. I posted this there too. Call me a liar, looks who's the guilty one......... I will give you this, you should have received it no matter what though. But don't lie.

I have tried that already, I have sent an email requesting a refund last week. But to no avail, fanatec has not replied.

Agreed, It's funny I could swear theirs a guy on ISR forums doing much the same thing in now constantly bad mouthing Fanatec. I wonder who it could be?

Sometimes how you put your complaint across and the tone/manner you use can make a lot of difference. I'm sure like everyone else That was ever entitled to one left888 you will get your refund. You ever think by using an attitude it might rub people up the wrong way.

The T500 is an incredible wheel, a very low percentage of break downs and excellent service when/if needed.

Well, 700 is out of my range anyways.

Sadly. I had to get involved with a friends new CSP issue. He emailed for a week. Tried calling the US number listed. No returned calls. I tried calling no return calls.

Not knowing for sure who is who to pm. I threw a little mud in a thread. Respectfully as one can in an unacceptable service situation.

Low and behold with in a week problem resolved.


Personally I understand what's the issue. Tom is a builder. He is not a customer service guy. While that's no excuse for a company. I can still understand the situation.

Great product and when you do get a response you get great service.

Sounds to me. If I was Fanatec and had their track record for service, I would be hiring an outside firm to structure my business.

Well put Owens, I looked forward to using a GT2. Layed out my hard earned cash and was told I would have my product in 1-2 weeks. I remained silent after 1 month went by, then I started reading online that there were delays, then more and more delays.

If fanatec would have just said from the get go that there might be delays before I ordered I would accept that, but instead I only got excuses.

I do apologize (again) for hijacking this thread. But since fanatec is ignoring my emails what else can I do?

The GamePOD thread on ISR has people asking all the time for info and replies which they don't get answered that quickly or at all. Some of them customers are spending much larger amounts of money. You could also look at the Rinoseat thread on these forums. So while I'm not point blank defending the situation Fanatec are not alone in needing to improve in areas. Your case is not isolated either but your really determined to now try and exploit the situation.

Once again I thank you for your concerns mr latte, however if you look a little closer I have NOT purchased a Gamepod nor a Rhino seat. But again thanks for that information, I shall think long and hard before ordering from them because of your astute wisdom.

As I have mentioned before, Fanatec will not, has not responded to my email. If it take exploitation to get either my product delivered or a refund I am fine with that.

mr latte I am sorry you are under the impression I am looking for "favors" from you? I am only looking for a solution to my very late order from fanatec, are you a part of the solution? I didn't think so.

Back to the topic at hand E3 2011 Fanatec CS... from the Mr T. pictures of the CS shifter in the ISR video, I was wondering how a box shaped shifter like that might mount on the GT2 or the clubsport table mount?

I didn't notice any holes for the two chopsticks... also it didn't sound like it would be available any time soon (next year) so I went ahead and ordered the $30 classic Porsche shifter set to use for now and I will consider that new shifter once it's available.

Monday I ordered the GT2 wheel, rennsport Stand V2 and CSP's and held out on the shifter because I heard of the new one. I think I may just go ahead and order the cheap one for the time being, like you I'm hoping the new shifter will adapt ok to the V2 stand.

I think an adapter plus the Rennsport shifter plate would work just fine with the CS shifter. Looking ahead though I may be better off making a bracket for the CS shifter and hand brake that attaches to my chair instead.
