Well, just successfully (PayPal confirmed anyway) ordered:
1x Clubsport Wheelbase
1x BMW Rim
1x Formula Rim
1x Clubsport Pedals V2

I think it's all out of stock except the pedals but at least the order is in! 👍
 
I was also able to place my order in at 8:30 am (west coast ) USA Shop
Shipping due in the USA on the 25th of July

I believe all the pedals are gone too or I just didnt see them on the site, I would at least by some Clubsport V2s.

Edit, I Lied... I see them now. Can you use the clubsport pedals with a G27 on PS3 . Or is it PC only?
 
I just got an email saying my original order could not be honored as no stock and i could wait for approx 4 weeks or cancel. My paypal funds were taken on the weekend. I think I'll just cancel

I'm yet to receive any email from them, order ID 885.... I'm thinking this is not a good sign.
 
EU Order 727 from the first round and just received...

I still can't get into my account. I created a new account on the new site, but the old site doesn't recognize my password. Doh! :nervous:
 
I'm still waiting to hear from Fanatec regarding CASE 1 on the emails they sent after screwing the website and an incomplete order (but i think i'm screwed already)...

I just did a quick checkout for 5 items and got a quote of $320 for shipping? that's insane...

I'll rather wait... too much for shipping... my 1st rig seems will need to wait... a lot...

oh well... at this rate i will be playing by december...

*EDIT* it went down to 32 usd .. but september? ack...

I just bite the bullet and ordered... I don't think they will honor my order on the old system so I will get it until september

but my session crashed or something after coming back from paypal, so now it doesnt appear at all... (i have the paypal invoice tough)

now wait to see what thomas/fanatec says.. but so far my emails have been ignored...
 
Talk about missing the initial forecast. If I had done that in my line of work I'd be in hot water for lost sales. Doh!

If you think about it September is just around the corner, but let's all remember...this thing was supposed to have been released last December, so almost a years wait is not too bad! LOL

If you can adapt to the g27"s when you put gt5 on then get the CSP now, if not then wait.

I dont think I'd be able to pull that off. Everyone says once you use clubsport pedals there is no going back to anything else.

I too received this email.

I'm going to stick with my order and hopefully I will be included in the next batch!
 
It's very frustrating. To cancel the order would mean my money us tied up for another week by the time they refund and then to withdraw from paypal.. I'm really in two minds. Shame there isnt another brand worth buying at same sort of money.

Clubsport pedals are great, that's a fact.
But I would't go that far to say, there is no way back.

I can only speak for myself:

I owned Fanatec GT3 with Clubsport pedals. Thereafter I baught T500 and thereafter I baught G27 (for individual reasons).

I feel fine with either the Logitech or the Thrustmaster pedals, although I used the CSP before.
 
Question - since I never ordered the CSW if I buy it now will I be wait listed until more are in stock in Sept then notified when the transaction goes through. Or is fanatec going to take my money and tell me to wait until its delivered in 2 months.

Thats a load of ****. No company in 2012 should be doing business like that, i'm fed up with this whole process. I'm not giving fanatec 800+ $ to sit around and hope / wait I get a steering wheel sometime in the next 2 months.

Probably best to wait and hope they have stock one day then I guess. Don't blame you for how you feel, but then again demand is currently outweighing supply by a good margin so they will have plenty of willing waiting list participants. I'm sure they want to fill to pipeline as quickly as possible however.
 
I really do not understand why so many people are complaining. Fanatec said they where going to have low stock. Yes, they probably could have planned a little better for their website. That does not change the fact they sold out in like two minutes and you (the complainer) probably would not have gotten a wheel even if everything was working fine.

Also, putting your money down and waiting for stock is common practice.
 
I think Fanatec did not expect such a success. I really have no idea about how many people would buy a clubsport wheel. One thousand, ten thousands ?
 
Does the old site tell you what the wait time frame is before or after you go through the Pay Pal transaction?

Most sites that are working correctly tell you before you submit any kind of money an ETA...ball park...year...decade.

Thomas said all US orders are being shipped this week and there was a small amount of stock left for the CSW's in the US, but those sold out quick when they were put back up on the original site.

I understand people complaining, we all want our stuff now, but some people (especially on the iRacing forums) are leading me to believe that are actually concerned that Fanatec is going to scam them out of their money altogether and use the "system glitch" as an excuse. I've seen similar comments from a few people over there, but I think they are being drama queens.

Do any of you all actually believe that as a possibility? I don' think there is any reason to believe that Fanatec would take our money and send nothing.
 
I honestly don't think Fanatec would intentionally try to scam customers out of money. Especially this (sim racing) community, bad news like that would probably crush fanatec.

Apparently not, (you get sometime in september or later) and im pissed because of it.
Normally a customer would take their business elsewhere ......... but nobody else makes a product this awesome. Just dont understand why I have to now put down 800+ $ for a product I won't actually know when its coming. Willing to let you put a hold on my funds and then you can have it when I know im getting something. Fanatec cant even tell you when there will be stock. Even if they said when more will be in stock I will never believe one of their projected "dates" ever again.
And i'm bitter I didnt win the photo contest >,<
