Ok, it is the Formula Rim.
Yes, it is a wonderful wheel! shame that my paddle shifter spring broke so I have limited my use of the wheel. I went ahead an ordered the GT2 wheel so I can use that if my Forumla rim is out of commission for a time.

I have only read that Fanatec/Thomas want to release a F1 replica wheel for the CSW. I was hoping beyond hope that maybe this has gone from discussions and plans for a Formula1 wheel to an actual product and it was being tested IMMORTALPILOT. I am probably thinking way ahead of the time needed to make the F1 wheel for the CSW.

Iam tomrrow again on gamescom and test the Fanatec f1 with GT5.
I say you guys how it works.

I really don't understand this commercial politic of Fanatec to not ship to states like Israel(my country),Australia and why not Africa.👎
I speak about Israel that can be considered as an European country:tup: I know a lot of Sim-racers from here that would like to buy their steering wheels, specialy, the CSR-Elite and the Club Sport wheel and they would have done it despite the heigh customs taxes, but they can't do it for this suicide commercial politicy of Fanatec.
However at Christmas I will commission my best friend in Italy to buy the CSR-Elit for me and he will ship it to me here in Israel.

Does anyone know is it's an interface one that makes the TH8 compatible with Fanatec wheels? And if so are they still available?

Edit, Found the info. Yes it's an interface one, and no he's not making any at the min but maybe in a couple of months time.

Fanatec not shipping steering wheels to Israel is very minor compared to Israel not allowing food and medical aid shipments to Gaza. With that said some trade restrictions might still be in place although borders are open now, aren't they?
This is a forum about Hardware and steering wheel so your post is inappropriate👎👎👎

I speak about Israel that can be considered as an European country:tup:

Your neighours are Egypt, Jordan, Syria and Lebanon, aren't they? (Not sure about Saudi Arabia)

I know your country participate in UEFA soccer championships and also in the Eurovision Song Contest. But to be honest, this is the only link to Europe I can find :sly:

But back to your point: Fanatec is still a very small company and they may have reasons for not being present all around the world. In business it's all about profit. And a small country with only ~7 million inhabitants (and just a guess: not a big sim-racing community) might not get top priority. As long as Fanatec is doing direct selling, this might not change in the near future.

Even the German neighbour Poland (38 million inhabitants) does not appear in Fanatec's web-shop.

Apparently there are csw base's and bmw rims in stock with just the formula rim being out of stock. I've been checking the fanatec us web store frequently and it still says new stock will arrive in september, but I've seen multiple people now, as in 5 or so, on the iracing forums that have ordered their wheels and got them a few days later. Why is the site not updated then? Are they just not updating it yet to avoid a massive amount of people ordering at once? Just don't understand why they are not listed in stock and people are getting them in a couple of days. I would have ordered one by now had I known that but I was going to wait until it says they were in stock in september and of course now I spent the money all ready.

It might be that Fanatec had more wheels in the first place for early warranty cases and they might have now started selling them because defective rate has been lower.

Or sales are lower than expected. :)

I think it's because they are waiting for the new shifters for the Formule rim to be in stock.
Most people who buy the CSW also buy the Formula rim

Yes both of those could be the case as well. I just thought it was odd for them to have it in stock and not say so on the web store putting off potential customers like myself. I'm ready to get one but I didn't want to go ahead and pay for it and have them hold my money until it came in september. I was planning on waiting until it said it was in stock and then ordering one. I actually just sent the US store a email asking them about what they have in stock so maybe I will hear back tomorrow. If they have the base and bmw rim in stock at least I'm going to try and go ahead and get it and wait on the formula rim. I have a csr elite now that I plan on selling and I'm sure I could sell it pretty fast on ebay or on a forum. I'll put it up for sale tomorrow if they tell me they have it in stock. I just didn't want to sell it then be without if they didnt have it in stock I would just rather wait.

Speaking of ebay. Has anyone looked up there recently for fanatec stuff? There is a community reviewer selling his base and formula rim together and the bmw rim separate. They are both on a auction and the bmw rim is at 182 right now with 6 days left. The base and formula rim still have 6 days left as well, but they are up to $840!!:crazy: I don't understand who will pay that much more for something used when you can buy it brand new for cheaper. The base and formula rim would be $630 new so it's already $200 more than new and still has 6 days. This is not the first time I've seen fanatec gear selling on ebay for more than what you can buy it for new. My only guess is it's people in countries than fanatec won't ship to, but the ebay seller will so they are willing to pay more. I'll probably end up putting my elite up there with that being the case. I can probably sell it for enough to buy the csw base so I'll just have to pay for the wheel rims out of pocket.

I know that person.he is from rF2 community and he is selling his Club Sport Fanatec wheel.

I've been debating selling my Formula Rim (f-wheel.com CSW tester), as I simply do not use it much. However, at times I might for Indy/F1 racing. It really enhances the experience, and makes the driving style fit what you are doing on screen/track!!!! I might kick myself in the ass later, we'll see....

If some here in the states are interested in having the rim now, let me know. I'm not looking for eBay type money. Just want to help another fellow community member out. I recently just sent my GT2 to a friend in Florida who can't afford much, and loves sim racing for nothing. Troysloth from here sent an old set of pedals and shifters to him for the set. Now he races with us a LOT on FM4 and iRacing!

👍👍
Nice to hear of this kind of generosity! I will be ordering an CSR Elite/CSPV2 in the next 3 weeks as I've just got into Forza 4 and the then the CSW for Christmas. So I will be selling my T500 at a knock down price to a guy thats never used a wheel before. It's nice to be nice :)

I know that person.he is from rF2 community and he is selling his Club Sport Fanatec wheel.

He's going to make killing! Knowing he paid $450 for the base and both rims for being a reviewer and just the base and formula rim are almost double that already. I have nothing against it good for him to find somebody that will pay that much. He even has in the description that they sell for $630 new lol.

I was the highest bidder on both auctions but retracted my bid.....not worth paying that much

Yeah that was a smart move for sure. No need in paying so much more than what it's really worth. I'm sure you could find one on a forum eventually for a fair price.

I heard back from my email to fanatec this morning. I got the response I figured they would give. I asked them if they were in stock and how all these people on the iracing forums are getting their wheels in since the website says not it stock. Of course they only answered the questions they wanted to answer. Their response was just "thanks for your inquiry, At the moment the shipping date is early September."

I guess I'll just be waiting again. This has been a frustrating process with this csw wheel. I could take the gamble and go ahead and order one, but I would have to sell my elite first and my luck would be that they don't have any and it would be september before I got it. I just can't take that chance right now so looks like I'll be waiting some more.

So is it worth to spend extra 260euro to get the CSW over the CSR-Elite?
I really still have this delemma and need your help.

.

Ok. Iracing people then have higher priority.
