I am not here please you :) I will speak my mind not spare words. As for fanatec, there is a big list of positive things which have been mentioned by nearly everybody multiple times. Let me jog your memory:

+They innovate
+They have strong fan base and community involvement
+Best wheel is the next wheel
+They develop wheel after the launch
+They support competitor pedalset(g25 and g27)
+Wheels have superior adjustability
+Superior software support compared to t500rs (no g25 mode in t500rs)
+Thomas has a sense of humour

Just to comment on the BMW wheel, I think the FFB is still great, I just have to turn it up a little higher than with my Formula wheel. I guess if you play a game in which the FFB is non-adjustable it might cause problems, but I think it gives plenty of feedback.

*disclaimer* I'm not the fastest guy out there, so the guys that are aiming for world records and need to feel every tiny bump and have it react instantly might not like the big GT wheel.

But again, I enjoy it and I think it adds to the overall realistic feeling of games like iRacing, rFactor, and others very very well.

We are in the same boat here! Exactly how I feel. And remember that the on-wheel settings of CSW allow for FFB adjustment 0%-400% independent of the game settings. I still find I don't need to adjust above 100 though on the wheel w/ the BMW rim (most if not all sims I use I don't have the in-game FFB setting maxed anyway, so there is room for 5-10% increase in the game settings if I feel I need it with the BMW rim...

A new generation of firmware and a new driver is now available.
We just released firmware version 750BETA for the following wheels:
- CSR
- CSR Elite
- 911 GT3 RS V2
- 911 GT2
- 911 Turbo S

The firmware fixes several small issues and also improves the performance in several ways.
We also released a new driver version 1.40 which is only needed for PC.

You can find the download links and more info on my blog:

Yes but the driver should be the same, right? Firmware installs per wheel, driver just goes on the PC and should be universal..

Indeed it is a unified driver. Ie. Unifying all Fanatec hardware into one driver.

I am happy report that new firmware fixed PS3 mode on Turbo S wheel. FFB is also more accurate somehow? Strange that Thomas did not put note on fixing PS3 mode to changelog.

Guys where can I find the foam pieces for the Clubsport pedals? I can't find them on Fanatec's site. Is it possible to buy those, or is there any alternate off the shelf solution?

Alternate foam pieces from Fanatec were available via the now-discontinued CSP V.1.Tuning Kit.

Thomas stated that a tuning kit would be released for the CSP V.2 but no information has been made available yet.

You could check with their tech support if they have any stock CSP replacements on-hand.

Otherwise, you will probably have to source your own for now.

Yeah, I was afraid that would be the case... The one that came with the tunning kit is already braking up and the thin one doesn't feel right. Guess I'll have to bother Thomas again!

Figure I could ask this here as well. I want to install the PC driver for my CSR. I downloaded the 64bit version since I have Win7 64bit, but when I start the installation, it wants to install it to the x86 programs folder. Should I go ahead and do that or switch it to the 64bit programs folder?

Apologies if anyone has asked this question before, just wondering if anyone knows how to put the CSR Elite Formula Rim into PS3 mode? On the standard rim its back and connect but the Formula rim doesn't appear to have a connect button?

Also when the centering the wheel you use the back button and two lower red buttons on the standard rim. But on the Formula Rim which two buttons do you use besides the back button?

Any help is appreciated! :)

I installed firmware 350B on my CSR-E without problem and then ran laps in GT5 on two of the most recent seasonals. I had no problems with 350B and the wheel felt excellent. I dropped 1.5sec in the GTR Black on the Tirol and dropped 3 pp from my previous best with a truck on the Nordschliefe. I'm not saying that the improvements were all from the new firmware but it certainly didn't hurt and I felt that it was a continued improvement in the quality of FF which was already excellent.

You are talking about not yet released hardware. Are you a beta tester? If so, wouldn't it be better to ask the developer? Just wondering...

I didn't know that the CSR Elite wheel had a Formula Rim on the market yet.......maybe someone can get a answer from Sebastian Vettel this coming weekend.....he's been on Hoilday for the last 3 or 4 weeks

Sadly none of us have it yet... Otherwise I'm sure we'd help. Of course Thomas himself is on here user: fanatec...

Hope that helps Alan, although I'm sure you have his email.

I did as it happens, they didn't have a graphics schematic to show me on layout and with me working this weekend I thought I'd ask on here.

If you are refering to the CSW Formula 1 Rim ....... Push the SELECT & START simultaneously and release...sometime you have to do it a 2nd time to get into the PS3 mode ( 2 lower side by side black buttons ).....You don't have to push the connect button....when you see the red light on the counter readout.....you are then in the PS3 Mode......this also work the same on the BMW Rim...Looking at the Picture ( above ) It has the same button layout for the CSW

There is no Clubsport rim. There is a Clubsport base with a Formula rim and a BMW GT rim. The CSR-Elite base has an upcoming Formula rim. Which of these do you have?
