I got that email yesterday and they just arrived via UPS along with my iPhone 5 👍
Yes! I can now play F1 2012 properly and play with a new iPhone. LOL

P.S. The UPS chick wondered why I gave her a hug. LOL

cool! Did you install the new springs? If so, what level of difficulty would you rate the switch? easy/medium/hard?
thanks!
:)

They ship you a whole new shifter assembly with Allen keys, but it would be easier to have the proper length keys. The ones they send are short and it will take time to exchange the assembly.

Senna, Hamilton, and Kovalainen on Fanatec CSWs with F1 Rims, and CSR E Pedals.

Enjoy:

Notice how the REV LED's are working on the PS3 version of the game :) That's awesome!
Looks like the next firmware update will make that live for everyone who updates according to Thomas's Blog 👍 http://www.911wheel.de/

BTW: For anyone who has received new paddle shifters for their F1 rim...the new springs seem to be much better in term of durability...time will tell for sure of course and the assembly itself is slightly different. Revision to the design.

On a comical Fanatec note, Darren deleted my Fanatec pedal thread from the PEDAL SECTION OF THE ISR SITE. Stating it was off topic. What? Its about PEDALS! He told me not to make a duplicate thread in the future or it will be deleted. Ummm I've made tons of duplicate threads in the past, but this one involved Fanatec. Sigh, I wish they could kiss and make up already, this is silly.
Sig link to your thread here.

You forgot to mention that you posted the exact same thread which can now be found in the Fanatec section of the ISR forum. So what is exactly the problem? Seems you are looking for some attention...

I can't see anything wrong in Darin's post:

"I have merged both of your topics into this one and moved to the Fanatec section. In the future, please post Fanatec related posts in the Fanatec section and only make one thread. Multiple threads will be deleted.

Thanks for sharing..
Darin Gangi"

Actually my friend, this isn't the first time. Also no message was given as to where the thread went. So am I a mind reader?

Hold on let me check my crystal ball.............Ah yes my Crystal ball shows where my thread went. Bottom line is that panties get in a bunch whenever anything Fanatec is posted there. Don't try and make me look like the asshole here.

Get attention? What is this high school, gimme a break. If anything needs attention its that you can change the spring on the CSP V2s and get good results. That is what needs attention. But wait, there are to many touchy touchy boys in sim racing I forgot. Worried about a couple of threads bringing down the servers. For fukc sake.

I could find all threads easily by just clicking on "new posts". Another button shows me "my posts". Too difficult?

And you already got attention in this forum for your spring mod by creating your own thread. So why complaining here with only half of the truth? Ah wait, this thread has a lot more followers than your other thread...

Seems that you are a bit "touchy" my friend.

You're joking right? Just delete the other thread then, no biggie. Again, I'm a grown ass man, I need attention from a message board? I created more than one thread so that more people could know that you can mod the pedals, period, end of story.

Not for some corny reason like "Hey, I want to be popular with people half a world away I'll never meet" Seriously man.

In fact if you want just delete my thread here as well. I could care less. I'll just keep on keepin on.

Fact is there Fanatec touchiness on ISR is pretty crazy. The fact that people got touchy about this proves my point. Is there some ISR/GTplanet war?

Also, I'm not super internet savy so I don't know how to look for my thread I just made and wasn't even messaged that it got moved.

I am not joking and also not going to delete anything.

If you are grown up, just send Darin a PM and tell him what you told us, instead of creating a post here to try to let him look like an asshole.

You seem to be up on the current events. Why don't you tell him?

Also I didn't create a post to try and make him look like an asshole. It kind of does that by itself since............................................... Its kind of ridiculous to move a post, from a forum for PEDALS, ABOUT PEDALS, AND NOT EVEN SEND A MESSAGE THAT THE THREAD WAS MOVED. Or am I confusing the situation? That is what was done right? A thread about Pedals, moved from the Pedals thread? I mean, I don't see any G27 or CST pedal threads get deleted and told "Hey post your pedal thread in a thread about the manufacturer of those pedals.

Its pretty obvious the thread was moved because it was about Fanatec.

apologies to everyone here for this little sideshow. Its definitely my fault for creating this for sure. But if I had felt that the thread had been moved for legit reasons I wouldn't have gotten angry. And lets be honest, the only thread moved from the PEDALS forum was mine, a thread about Fanatec. Sigh.

I sent my V2 pedals and CSW back to Fanatec last week,, as my pedals wasn't working with my PS3, they were returned to me on Monday and to my delight everything is now working fine and the REV lights are working with my PS3, happy days.

What? Did they return the wheelbase to you with new firmware?? As far as I know the firmware that Thomas (Fanatec) is talking about hasn't been released yet.
Check the firmware and let us know what version is on your wheel. The latest public firmware will read 32/16 during the boot up of your wheel on the LED display.

Cheers :)

On which games do the REV lights work on (GT5, F1 .....)?

I am thinking of ordering the csw next week. Kind of nervous about it though. I understand it has a 2 year warranty, is that correct? Also after the warranty is up does fanatec offer a repair service on the csw? Would hate to pay $722 for the wheel and after 2 years something happens to the wheel and Im stuck with a wheel I cant have repaired. Ive had the wheel in my cart for a week now just been scared to pull the trigger. Thanks

Do it do it!! Yes they come with 2yr warranty. I've been using my CSW for a few days and LOVE IT. I'm coming from a couple of Fanatecs. The last one (PWTS) was purchased in 08. Ran flawlessly till a couple weeks before my CSW arrived (I broke the left paddle shifter). Although it is out of warranty I could have had Fanatec repair it and still may, but for now I'm too excited using the CSW.

There are enough horror stories regarding Fanatec and customer service. I can only relay my personal experience in dealing with them for many years. The occasions that I needed to contact someone for service were without frustration. They have a very specific set of guidelines to follow to speed up support inquires. Patience is indeed helpful as it make take a couple days to get a reply back sometimes but I've always been taken care of.

Go ahead and pull that trigger! Don't wait too long. Last time I did that when I thought I was finally ready to buy the item had sold out :ill: !

I know all the stories good and bad. Also there support ritual they have. I just want to know Im spending the money on something I can use for years. Dont mind paying for repairs after the warranty as long as its not some crazy fee. Would like to know if repairs after the warranty are an option.

Not sure about wheels but I sent my CSP v1's in for repair out of warranty since I didn't purchase from fanatec. I had to pay for shipping but the labor and parts were not expensive at all (new load cell and pcb's, update fw).

ot: you part of BuckeyeNation fatkrakr?

That seems a reasonable price to repair the pedals. Now if I could just get an answer from fanatec on post warranty repairs Ill be giving them my money. So how about it Thomas, will fanatec offer post warranty support for the CSW? Just want to have the piece of mind that its a wheel I can use for years to come. Thanks in advance.

We actually plan a service pack for CSW users so that you can send in the CSW and we make a complete overhaul and replace critical parts. In any case it will be possible to buy all major spare parts like motors and belts in the future.

Very good to hear and thanks again for the reply. Ill be making my purchase for the CSW and BMW rim probably wed. or thurs. of next week. 👍
