Yesterday I bet. I ordered a CSW base + BMW wheel + CSPv2 + G25/G27 cable adapter. Now I'm waiting for F1 rim.:nervous:

So, I bought the F1 rim! Now, I have all Club Sport products. I will receive my order around on October /05th, but I will get it on October/ 10th when I arrive in NYC. I'm anxious for it.
But I have a problem, I will not be able to test the products before I go back to Brazil! I'm worried about it.

That's annoying mate. I got an email yesterday that my order was to be shipped and that I would receive a tracking number via email. Although I don't think it's in transit yet, as the tracking number just brought up details saying that a label has been issued
Suppose I should be grateful knowing that it will be here next week :) It was quite a shopping list for one purchase.

Hope you hear from them soon. I thought that shipping in the states was pretty quick, good chance you could be using your gear before me

Finally got an email from them! It's scheduled to arrive on Oct 8th:tup:

Just told the wife what I want for my birthday. The clubsport base and bmw wheel. I have the turbo s wheel and like it pretty well, but it's getting kind of old now, and I'm ready for an upgrade. How much of an upgrade is it to go from the turbo s to clubsport wheel? Am I going to be blown away by it or not?

I started to go back and read through this thread but it's really hard to put info together from it. There really should be a dedicated thread for each Fanatec product. There are way to many to try and research each one inside this thread.

And should I wait for the fanatec shifter ( which I have been for several years now) or just go ahead and have her get me the T500 RS or whatever it's called now.

If you want to use the TH8 on PS3, you can do this together with the CSW only with a third party adapter called interfaceone.
I'm using the TH8 with my CSR Elite and I'm more then happy with this combo.
On the PC no problem at all.

I have ordered a csw and already have a TH8RS shifter that I used with the T500RS before I sold it to make way for the CSW line. It's true you can use the Interfaceone adapter to use any Fanatec wheel with the TH8RS shifter on console, but on PC it works as a stand alone device. The Interfaceone adapter isn't available the last time I checked but but the guy did post after work commitments when he has more time he would possibly start production again. It's a brilliant shifter and would go great with the CSW and BMW GT2 rim............Roll on Tuesday lol

My order should be here tomorrow, ups says sometime between 9am and 7pm.
I'll be sitting by the door at 8.59am:P, hope they don't show up very late.
I'm really looking forward to it. I took the next 2 days of from work so i can make it a nice long racing weekend:)

Well I ordered my CSW case and BMW wheel last night along with a TH8 shifter. The shifter I ordered from newegg and it has already shipped out. Ordered the wheel from Fanatec of course and it said it will arrive in 3-5 days when I placed the order. How much of a chance do I have of actually getting the wheel in 3-5 days? It's been since 2008 since I have ordered something from them so I don't really know how much attention to pay to what their website says.

And does anyone know what state Fanatec ships their wheels out of in the U.S.?

I ordered mine yesterday also. Looks like are wheels will be riding from cali to ohio together. Atleast they wont be lonely.

Hopefully yours can teach mine a few tricks before they get here and they ship out soon. Did you see the same 3-5 day arrival thing that I did when you placed your order?

Their estimates are pretty accurate. A couple times I actually got the item BEFORE the eta. They ship out of California.

Enjoy your CSW/GT rim and TH8, I'm using the same and I really like the combination (formula rim arrives tomorrow!).

gO BucKs 👍

No I didnt see that, but Im hoping mine ships with yours. On the fanatec site my order still says procesing, so Im not to hopeful on 3 to 5 days. Hoping for mid to end of next week.

Countdown starts when you receive the shipping email. Forget the website. I have an order from 2009 that is still processing!!!

Their new website will be up soon and the ordering process will be much better I think.

Yeah once they ship out of the warehouse in Cali that's when you'll get another email with tracking number.

I got my formula rim in today. Liking it a lot so far. Much easier to make quick corrections in open wheel cars now compared to the bmw rim. One thing I noticed is that it has 017 firmware on the rim. Anybody else get one recently and have the new firmware? Anyone know the difference between the 016 and 017?

Well, it's been reported that the newer wheels and bases are showing up with 35/17 firmware. If you have a PS3 and you're playing GT5 or F1 2012 you will now see the REV LED's function.

I fellow owner in another thread posted he sent his gear for repair. (In London) He received his stuff back and his LED's now work with both games :-)

Those of us who have first shipment rims and bases are still waiting for FANATEC to post the new firmware so we too can enjoy some LED functionality :-)

Thomas...when? Lol

Looking to buy from Fanatec soon and i wanted to ask how there realiability is compaired to a G27.

In general it is worse but reason is that Fanatec is continuously pushing new products and innovation. G27/G25 has been here long time and most bugs have been ironed long time ago.

I am happy with fanatec. I had two warranty cases(one wheel and one shifter) but fanatec customer service has worked very good in my case and I got replacements in reasonable time.
My wheel history:
MS sidewinder wheel: No problems, heavy use made some deadzone.(now sold)
Act labs force wheel: No problems (now sold)
G25: Some minor things like gears getting louder. (Now sold)
Fanatec 911 Turbo S: One wheel replaced and one Shifter replaced with warranty.(Still happy owner since launch)

Their new website will be up soon and the ordering process will be much better I think.

It is in beta testing a the moment, i think it will stay like that at least for a couple of weeks.

I don't think they would take the risk of having problems with the new website again.

Yeah I've been helping testing the beta trying to find some bugs on the site but so far really nothing major. I think it will be better this go round :nervous: :scared:!

Does anyone have a link to the "NEW" 35/17 CSW firmware if it has been release yet..thx

Not sure about final wheels, but on my beta (community tester) CSW, I was told the firmware on the rims was not upgradable by end-users. So unless that's changed or I misunderstood, the "17" part (firmware on the rims) might not be something that can be done @ home.

You are completely correct.
The firmware is only upgradable by Fanatec via means of a special programming device and using the right software with the correct firmware. This is a tricky process as one wrong step can render the rim useless.

Do not worry though. Rim firmware 17 is the latest version and does not have any bugs.
So there is no need to wonder about 'how to upgrade my rim'.

So what does the Rim firmware "17" change or improve? Being that the end user can't update their existing wheels (I.E. "16" users), does Fanatec recommend everyone send their rims to be updated?

I must appologize. I was in the complete assumption myself that I had fw 17, but it seems it was 16.
This also means I have no clue on the changes from 16 to 17.

So wild guessing... Since all rims use the same firmware, it could be that for a new wheel they needed to changes a few things in the firmware.
These changes can be anything rim related. Like the allocation (so they are accessable by the base fw) of new types of buttons, dials or switches, or maybe a whole new type of display.
Or it could be via user input via the support channels they found a tiny bug that only happens in very rare occasions. Cause my rim works fine with fw 16.
