Hi guys , after almost 2 years of full dedication to GT5 with my Logitech G27 , i´m ready to enjoy FM4 with a new compatible wheel for the Xbox 360, the CSR Value Pack .

But my concerns are not with the CSR Racing Wheel itself , it´s with the CSR pedals .

How they do compare to the G27 pedals in feel , stability and overall quality of the plastic ?

I´m selling my G27 , i´ll not have those pedals to connect with the CSR Wheel.

Thanks

I just got the CSR Value Pack a week ago (coming from a G27 with Nixim modded pedals).

I'm really enjoying the wheel. The pedals being adjustable is very nice. After some adjustments, I find I don't need anything more for the brake and clutch pedals.

However, the gas pedal for me offers very little resistance. I did put the clutch spring in my G27 gas pedal, so I'm sure being used to that has made the transition a bit difficult as well.

Thinking about the Clubsports, but I'm a bit concerned about paying for a new load cell every 4 months......

I've had my clubsports since the day they released and it's never went bad.

Thanks for the replies. I was a bit worried that they were faulty since there was a V.2 released. I may just get them if they're reliable. Can you make the gas pedal decently resistant?

Just to chime in on the load-cell. I replaced mine once last October after about 10 months of hard use. A member here taught me how to set the cell correctly for the proper amount of pressure & least amount of wear on it. Obviously it has been a year, and NO issue on the cell at all!

You can try to tighten the screw on the back of the pedal with a 17mm wrench. If that is not enough, you can get a different spring via a local RC shop or similar. Thankfully, I was able to get the tuning kit for my V1's back in the day, and put the 30% stronger clutch on the gas. Been perfect since! Very little maintenance & cleaning required. I just use a little compressed air & rag every month or so on them to keep them clean and in working order. For the price, the CSP V1 or V2 pedals are amazing!

dumb question for CSW owners....
The CSW rims came with the metal screw and plastic screw/plug for the hole at the quick-release point. I initially used one of the metal screws to secure the rim to the CSW. However, the screw unthreads itself over time and I have to constantly tighten it down.

Is this normal? Am I even supposed to use the metal screw to secure rims to the base?
very confused! LOL

You don't have to. I guess if you do not plan on changing rims, it would be ideal. However, if the QR system is taught with each rim on there, that should be more than enough. This is coming from changing the rims myself upwards of +-300 times already. I take the GT rim off constantly so I can sit on my couch and watch my TV without a rim taking up 25% of the screen. :dunce:

I use the screw on mine and have to tighten it every few days also. I guess you could use some locktite on it, but it doesnt bother me to check it every couple days.

Why do you guys need to use a screw to hold the wheel on? I didn't even know that was an option until I read this.

Thanks for the info, guys!

Bevo, IIBC, I thought I saw it being used in the rim or CSW manual? I noticed on my base/rim combo that the big quick release spring makes less noise with the securing screw in the base when I am doing frantic turning of the wheel in races.

Like you said I do not think it is necessary since the rims are very secure when locked onto the base without this screw.
:)

Hey guys, it's been a while since I checked this thread, is there any news on a CSP V2 tuning kit?

The only news has been of upgrade kits for the CSW.

We actually plan a service pack for CSW users so that you can send in the CSW and we make a complete overhaul and replace critical parts. In any case it will be possible to buy all major spare parts like motors and belts in the future.

Otherwise there has been no news on anything. We need to track down Mr. T and hold him captive until he tells us something.

Thank you.

I still haven't decided on whether I want to get the CSW or a G27 from my DFGT, but most likely I'll get a G27 and possibly upgrade to a CSW in the future however long that may be. Before you showed me that announcement wasn't going to consider it but I'm going to think twice about it now

Guys I got a replacement csw base on Friday and when I connect the wheel rims their is a lot of play even with the screw in their is a lot of play more than with the screw out in the previous base. Is there any solutions?

Just to follow up. I thought I'd let everyone know that I contacted Fanatec support via e-mail yesterday with a couple of video's and a description of my problem. And this morning I had one question from support and with my reply I then was sent the RMA form. I have been very well treated by Fanatec and wanted to share my experience as usually it's only negative comments about their support that we read

Great news Mark, another replacement 👍

So are you on a first-name basis with the UPS guy by now? LOL :D

We're good friends
I'm thinking of inviting him in next time for lunch

Seriously though, Fanatec are very good if you have an issue 👍

I agree.

If you follow their directions and email them during operating hours there should be no reason to complain about their service.

Wrong.

Even with following all of their directions, you can get disappointed. Not all people who experienced bad CS didn't follow their rules.

Of course, lot's of people received good CS as well.

It's not that easy.

I have made the choice to get CSR wheel package that come with elite pedals and shifter. It won't be til about this time next month but after pricing it all out compared to G27 it was a no brainer for something I have been missing in my DFGT.

Now I can't blame my poor driving on crappy wheel or pedals!

Does anybody drift or rally using the BMW wheel rim (CSW) considering how heavy it is? I plan on buying one, but I want to know if it counter spins as fast as a T500rs. I doubt it, but I just want to know if it's justifiable. The wife is really annoyed whenever I play LFS so looking for something quieter but similar feel.

If you turn the Dri(Drift Mode Setting) on the wheel up to 2 or 3, you will significantly increase the speed the wheel turns, making it much lighter to the touch.

Also, for those unaware, please tune into the F1 of the Americas this weekend!

so finally got my pc setup done today and moved my csr elite from xbox to pc. installed the 142 driver, plugged the wheel and pedal . started dirt3/shift2/f1 2012. the csr wheel is not recognized at all, in the in game controls only keyboard or csr 911 option shows up.

how do i make the elite to be recognized in the game.

can someone point me to some documents or links or tell me what i am missing.

i tried diff usb ports, tried uninstall/reinstall nothing works.

i have 737 firmware on elite and using pc mode
