Perhaps they are worried about people getting the belt tension too tight and excessively loading the motors. It would be nice to hear from Thomas on why that was changed.

It seems like Fanatec has changed their policy about letting the customers change defect motors themselves.

From now on (at least in my country) you have to send the wheel in to get it fixed.
Opening the CSW base voids your waranty.

Oh? So if you are out of warranty, you'll have to buy the maintenance service thingy or else you're screwed?

When asked, I was offered to get send a motorpack, but installing it myself would void the warranty

The seem have had issues with letting people repair their CSW base themselves under warranty.
Don't think there would be any problems if you order one as a seperate part.

That was it? Wow!

At last (from July), my CSS SQ is coming...

Today from Fanatec:

"Please note that the goods are on the way to our warehouse and that we expect them in stock within the next week.

As soon as possible we will start with re-shipment and will inform you about the dispatch of your order by e-mail in time.

Thank you so much for your understanding and patience"

I have Fanatec csw with g27 pedals, and I have no problems!
I also have csp v2 inverted but I can not accustom to the brake with load cell !:banghead:

Thanks for the reply, a friend of mine has a GT2 and the same problem with the G25 pedals connected.
Well, bought it from fnac.pt for only 99€ , will contact them to replace the unit .

I received the notice regarding the CSS SQ also. I really want to start GT6 with a shifter so hope it will arrive before GT6 which I have pre-ordered. I hope by starting with the slower cars I can master shifting before I start using the faster cars where shifting becomes more demanding.

The Xbox One compatibility will have nothing to do with a new rim.

For a new Xbox One wheel there will be a new wheelbase and hopefully with quick release on which you can mount the existing rims.

This was my understanding of Fanatec's previous announcement too

Curious about the new wheel, it must be the porsche wheel with the rev indicators in the rim, which was is the CSS videos

I wish there was a CSR Elite wheel (size and weight), but made with real carbon fiber instead of plastic.

I have decided to wait though untill further there is a confirmation that the CSW rims can be used on a Xbox one wheel.

I hope that the new wheel, has to be lighter and smaller size, I think the BMW wheel is very large and heavy!

"it must be the porsche wheel with the rev indicators in the rim" 👍👍👍

Personally I hope the new wheel is a leather wheel, not an alcantara one. Simply because I can take off my gloves again and simply and quickly clean it with a damp cloth, instead of using a brush to groom my steering wheel to make it look nice again after I forget to put on the gloves.

So yeah leather rim like it is here... one on one... that would be nice.

I received another email from Fanatec saying my order for the CSS-SQ is now ready for shipment and that my next email will have the tracking number. It looks like a race between whether GT6 or the CSS-SQ will arrive first but it looks that I will be able to start GT6 with a shifter.

Nothing for me yet. :(
