their facebook post says

PS: It is not for Xbox One ;)

so it's either compatible with PS4 and/or a new wheel for the xbox one will be announced.

I do like it but it's definitely in the luxury wheel rim category.

For sure it's luxury level. I won't deny that.
I am just saying that the materials used, quality of design and manufacturing; they all just justify 400 euros.

Not that excited by this rim though. It looks OK, but brown is NOT my colour.

The rev lights and the light weight are very interesting.
Could send back the second universal hub and cancel the flat rim.

Not really sure.

On the otherhand the flat rim + hub weighs about as much as this new porsche rim.

I think the rim would be boring with black leather though. The slight offset in color caused by brown letter just gives a better finish in my opinion. Besides it is dark brown, so it's not that bad.

To each his own though. We can't all like the same things. ;)

Is fanatic going to link off of their site for good modders putting out good rims? Someone should start compiling a list of people making quality mods and their sites. I plan to hop on the public rim making band wagon... But am just currently moving. I hope to add a few rims over the next couple months

Brown leather? No thanks, I'd have the BMW wheel instead.

400€? Hell no! That's more than the base it goes on!

Carbon Fiber on it? No wonder it's expensive...

As nice as the 918RSR is, I think I will have to pass for now. I rather get the hub and two rims for the almost the same price. Looking online, the only two 3rd party rims I want want to get are the Nardi Deep Corn and the Momo Prototipo.

After that... BMW 3 Series E30

Also, if Fanatec ever gets to a second round of wheels I nominate the amazing 2014 BMW M Performance Steering Wheel

Also... Lamborghini Sesto Elemento...

What is amazing about both of those rims is that those two styles were used in just about every icon sports car in the 60-70's. Alfa Romeo, Ferrari, Porsche, even Shelby, all used variants of those styles.

My original goal was to buy a bunch of genuine classic car rims until I did some research and found that if you buy those two, you have practically bought them all.

Love the BMW M performance wheel. The nice thing is that BMW already has "joysticks" in their orginal wheels.

The E30 wheel looks awesome too, but i have had one in my hands and it's way too heavy voor the CSW.

For me Fanatec was spot on with the FLAT RIM, so that's the rim i ordered for my second universal hub.

Are the metal internals all one piece? RE E30

Wow at that wood Nardi wheel, must have it. Do you have a link?

The Porsche rim is also fantastic. Fanatec hit it out of the park!

I think it's pretty much worth the 400 euros though. It looks gorgeous and has carbon fiber. It just oozes quality in my opinion, or is that my drool that's oozing right now?:drool::drool::drool::drool:

Funny! When they showed their previous rim packages, then you said idiotic prices. Now, this costs 50 more and worth it. I know that these are worth the price and actually they are real bargains in some sense, but funny to see changing one mind.

Well, I can't deny that. Like you say I have been over reacting, shamefully so.
Basically the BMW rim and Porsche rim have the same functionality, but the carbon and better overall finish of the Porsche rim make it a more pleasant wheel to look at. Plus I prefer leather myself as you can clean it with a damp cloth easily and only needs conditioning ever once in a while.
Also I didn't know a UH was attached to the other wheels. A completely modular hub that has a lot of details that need to be manufactured. In retrospect I could've never compared it to a simple DSD hub for the T500 as the one would be far more expensive to manufacture than the other.

That said I still think that compared to the CSW base it is one heck of a price! :boggled:

The spacer attaches to the UH I assume...

Yes, in a normal car you would bolt this onto a hub with Momo bolt pattern. Since the UH is our hub with bolt pattern, you indeed need to bolt it to that instead.

Only difference is, that Porsche one doesn't have vibration motors. Who uses those anyway.

All my stuff came! :D

I'm downloading all of the drivers and installing them on on my laptop, and installing the base and pedals to my cockpit.
