Honestly, it boils down to which rim you like more. Supposedly though, as per Thomas, he says the CSR is slightly lighter and easier to move. Obviously, we have yet to hear true customer reviews.

I have a GT2 and can say its worth every penny. Looked @ the CSR, but came to find out it is basically the same as the CSR, minus a few minute details. Take this as you wish, just how I feel. Good luck!

Cheers mate, i am put off a bit with the plastic wheel of the CSR so i guess if the difference is minimal then it's the GT2 wheel 👍

Hmm I think the paddle shifters have been improved upon.
I know Ant uses a smaller shift plate and finds it ok.
I never miss a shift myself but the feel isn't responsive or as nice as a G27.

If the paddles are at least as good as the G27 that would edge me towards a CSR.

GT2 is excellent nonetheless.

You are correct in the paddles being different on the csr. Looking at pics they appear to go directy into the back of the wheel hub instead of the button style on the gt2. I know the gt has paddles but i am talking about the buttons the paddles are attached to.

AHHHH yes, i forgot. The paddle shifters are much improved upon for the CSR. True. And Spagetti is correct, I use the smaller paddles, they work great though.

Actually you missed the point. I specified someone not interested in the supposed value of the addons AND WHO LIKED THE CSR-E rim in particular. The availability of add ons to someone not interested in them doesn't change the value proposition.

Well pedantic as it may be you said "I agree with everything you just said" while quoting sandboxgod who mentioned the cost increasing due to the licensing F4.

So logically you did care even though you don't. :)

No I got your point clearly. At the price point of the Elite, even if you don't care about add-ons, it's still a better idea to go with something else that gives you more startup options and variety. You can buy the CSW with any of the 2 styles of rim you want. You can also do that with the T500 now. These are not add-ons, they come standard. You can't do that with the Elite, as you only get a choice of the CSR wheel rim, which you may like or not. If xbox compatibility doesn't matter to someone, the Elite wheel is not going to seem as appealing for the cost. It has to be a bit more cheaper than the CSW in order to appeal to the non xbox crowd. My point was that the wheel is aimed at the xbox crowd for Forza in the first place. What I got from you is that the wheel would appeal to anyone, regardless of how important xbox play is to that person, and I cant see that being true at all, at least not from a logical standpoint.

If your opinion is what you stand by, you obviously don't care about buying cheap in this situation. You are defending a product that is clearly overpriced, thus undervalued. I wont be surprised if the Elite ends up being the lowest selling of the 3 new Fanatec wheels, and it will have nothing to do with with the actual wheel itself. It's just the weakest sell amongst the new releases. That doesn't mean you or anyone else can't go and pick it up, and be happy. I got a point to what I'm saying. You not agreeing with it doesn't make that point any less valid, and it shouldn't interfere with anyone being able to justify their purchase of the Elite. I was considering the Elite myself, because I would like a higher end wheel than the CSR for Forza. It's just a shame that it packs less bang for your buck in comparison to the CSR and CSW.

Enough has been said about this topic now, let us agree to disagree and move on to talking about something else.

The CSR Elite still uses the same mechanical internals of the CSW though. Same overbuilt chassis. Same upgraded belt drive/sensor system. I think those things are clear upgrades over anything in this price class (other than the CSW).

Those are definitely clear upgrades, but until more people get their hands on the CSW and CSR Elite and put them to the test, I can't help but think that they will end up performing like enhanced, higher end versions of the CSR/GT2, instead of performing like a totally different line of wheels. That's not a bad thing at all though, because I do recall a time where the Fanatec GT2 was the best, affordable, high end step up from everything else available for console.

I'm just not into riding the hype machine by any means. I like facts, and I like truths, and I take assumptions, even those of my own, with a grain of salt. When people start to get these wheels in their hands, all questions will be answered, and all false assumptions will be debunked.

My CSR wheel got shipped today! Just got E-mail confirmation. And I'm in Las Vegas (only about 350 miles away from the warehouse in the L.A. area) so it should be here pretty fast!

Same. Only, it says it's scheduled to arrive on Oct. 10th, which is fine I didn't expect to get it by Friday.

Think Aggies. I think things wil be looking up for y'all against the Red Raiders, minus 8 pts mind you, just like things should be looking up for your order. I guess I shouldn't have gigged you considering your last couple weeks. Good luck (really). 👍

Cheers for the info, might hold off then until some CSR reviews come in. 👍

Yea UK, I posted on the last page I forgot to mention the paddle shifters. And as of the unboxing CSR video, you can definitively tell the paddles are sturdy and have a good "click" to them. They are much improved from the GT2 screw on yourself paddles. But, with a little elbow grease, they work just fine, imo.

But, yes, if I were you, wait a little. See some reviews, then take the plunge. You'll enjoy every second of it.

BTW: finally downloaded the FM4 demo. Using a friends settings, it was actually quite fun. I had no issues with steering over/under, at all. Had Sen at 640 in lieu of 900. Worked much better. My friend used 540, too touchy for me, kept bumping it up until I found my liking. Psyched for Tuesday! Shifters and FM4! wooooooo

Ant I recommend you at least try Raudi's settings in the Forza thread.

Stunning dude, I kid you not. Lol.

They don't like Texans >o

....

Zoo, you're only a few hours South of me. And we ordered the same day.
I emailed the usa customer service address yesterday and I got my tracking number in a reply from them this morning. I haven't gotten my tracking info in an official Fanatec Direct email yet.

Good Luck

Does the CSR Elite pedals supports the vibration like the Clubsport pedal ?

It does not. also has potentiometer base for clutch & gas, while CSP's use contact-less sensors. Also, Elite's have some base plastic/rubber components, while CSP's are All formed or machined aluminum.

Hope this helps!

So what you are telling me is to get the CSP ?

So what you are telling me is to get the CSP ?

Personally, and this is purely my opinion. For $50 US/EU, absolutely. you won't regret it.

BUT, the Elite's have an easy inversion, which makes them VERY attractive. But, I love the vibrating brake and feel of the CSP's, non-inverted. I do not have a real cockpit, just a homemade stand, so inverting them would not feel right, yet that is. Obviously have not tried elite's, but that is what I would do. We all need to live within our means though........

My ClubSport Pedals are to arrive any day now and am very excited:drool:
Is there any calibration stuff I need to do to pedals before using them with GT5 or FM4.
Can you recommend best brake settings for above games please.

At the moment with my G25 pedals and PWTS I use the ABS setting to rumble the wheel on braking.
My question is does the pedal AND the wheel rim vibrate/rumble under braking when the ABS is set?
