Not sure this is the place to ask, but has there been any news on the release of the Podium modular rim? I really want to buy a circular wheel but I'm trying to hold off for it as it looks excellent and the modular features are very welcome. Will we get an update around the shipping of the DD1/2?

Im sorry that three blue laughing smiliy are not enough to signal you this could be some non serius post.

I went back and read the post being referred to. I must say I agree with Whitestar. It very much looks like you were quoting Thomas. Your remark with three blue smileys looks very much like a reaction to said quote, not an attempt to show it as a joke.

So as an update, I decided to go for this https://sim-lab.eu/product/teamredline-tr1-chassis/ instead of modifying my old rig. Would be cheaper to do the modifications, but decided it was better to bite the bullet and get something I know will fit and be sturdy enough. I've heard very good things about this company and their customer service is excellent from what I've experienced so far :)

Their products are excellent and their customer service is also very good. They are a bit slow at times because they are alway very busy but a quick email to them will result in Darko getting back to you promptly. My Sim Lab rig is superb.

Which one do you have?
I have a GT1 that I've added a few things to.

I'm also dropping the DD1 onto a GT1 Evo. Very happy with mine so far and I think it will handle the DD1 perfectly. The P1 looks really cool but I don't really think its required unless you are planning on running some heavy motion in the future.

Bugger, would have been awesome to see!

It had the character of a secret little teaser, nothing much to see and short. The blue f1 rim unboxing from a little black bag and unboxing the base. Pretty cool package with sliding latches left/right on the downside.

The most exciting part for me was seeing that it looked like finalized packaging. I doubt it but I wonder if it could mean they are actually ahead of schedule currently.

I have the Simlab TR1 and have been extremely happy with it! Just using it with the CSL Elite right now but it seems like it will be able to handle DD without any issues. I absolutely love what they did wit the pedal box on their newer designs. Every bracket is super thick and strong.

Okay, what is the seat like? Would you recommend it? Would it suit a larger person?
It's a really nice seat and is more suited to a larger person than most racing seats. You can also adjust how much it reclines which many racing do not allow you to do.
