People are just now getting mad that the franchise has gone full blockbuster action movie with less focus on cars and street racing? It's been that way for like 3 movies now To each their own, but I feel like everyone should have known what to expect with this.
People were clapping and cheering at the end of the showing I was at as well. Can't remember the last time I heard that in a movie theater other than maybe at a kid movie.
Not that i can think of. Probably the Lykan (obviously). Though i'm interested on how they managed to make the replicas of Lykan looks so good. NFS movie fabricators should take notes. Are there any car related mistakes? like someone driving a Ferrari FXX on the road? or a fake CCXR?
The packed theater I was in broke into full applause when the monologue at the end concluded. I think it helps that, while the cheesy sentimentality and nostalgic heart pulling that started piling on about 2/3rds in the movie was incredibly obvious, it was also clearly sincere.People were clapping and cheering at the end of the showing I was at as well. That happened in my theater too.The packed theater I was in broke into full applause when the monologue at the end concluded.

I'm assuming you're referring to the white one at the end (I don't remember any other Supras)?Good metaphor.
Anyway, anybody notice how the Supra sounds like a 4 banger ? It didn't sound like a 2JZ to me.
Yeah the white one.I'm assuming you're referring to the white one at the end (I don't remember any other Supras)?
I just wanna ask you guys quickly, did anyone else leave the cinema with an overwhelming urge to buy a Supra?
Yeah the white one.
Huh really ? Been a very long time since i watch the first one.Sounded like it did in the first F&F
Considering that was Paul's personal car (as you pointed out earlier), I'm 99.9% sure it's a legitimate Supra.Yeah the white one.
Well it is a legitimate Supra, but they could (for some unknown reason, i don't know) dubbed the audio with a seemingly 4 banger sound. But that would be ridiculous, probably me ears are just playing tricks on me.Considering that was Paul's personal car (as you pointed out earlier), I'm 99.9% sure it's a legitimate Supra.
I agree I thought this was one of THE best of the entire series. Truly enjoyed the entire experience. When it comes to the Paul CGI my guess is they filmed all the American scenes at the beginning. I think Paul passed away before they made the Abu Dhabi scenes (middle of the movie). That's where I noticed some CGI but it was barely noticeable. Other than that it was handled incredibly well.Furious 7 ultimately fits the series. I felt that it was entertaining, easy to watch and that the ending was extremely genuine and heartfelt. My girlfreind told me it was her favourite of the saga and a movie she genuinely enjoyed
I agree. That send off with Paul and Vin at the end there was really touching and really nicely done, the way Paul is clad in all white and splitting off into the unknown.
Yes they handled the end with Paul perfectly. To focus back on 7 though, I'm glad we saw it and we both truly enjoyed it. The ending had tears in the eyes of nearly everyone there (including both of us) and I simply couldn't imagine a better send off for a very loved man
Its nowhere near over.I really hope this is it for the franchise. I felt 6 ended things perfectly then 7 came and did so even better. There's no loose ends left. They've gone from stealing DVD players, to taking down small time drug runners, to traffickers, to international criminals, to African mercenaries. They've been from LA to Brazil, through the Dominican Republic, Japan and all the way to Abu Dhabi. They've gone from Eclipses to Evos to Skylines to Veyrons. There is nothing left to do, nowhere left to go and nothing left to drive.
He filmed the interior scenes in Abu Dhabi (except when he was in the Lykan).I agree I thought this was one of THE best of the entire series. Truly enjoyed the entire experience. Lucas Black's scene is hilarious. They re-use footage from the end of Tokyo Drift (the final scene where Dom shows up for the race, complete with Lil Bow Wow), then cut straight to new footage shot specifically for this movie to continue that scene, so Lucas ages nine years between shots.
yeah the tokyo part bothers me.Plus, I just remembered, he's still technically supposed to be 18 or whatever.
Yeah, that transition sure was, ummm, weird.Lucas Black's scene is hilarious. They re-use footage from the end of Tokyo Drift (the final scene where Dom shows up for the race, complete with Lil Bow Wow), then cut straight to new footage shot specifically for this movie to continue that scene, so Lucas ages nine years between shots.
And it should be an exhilarating sequence. Except that it isn't. Like all of the action set-pieces, I found myself bored by it. When your audience is bored when they should be on the edge of their seats, you know that something has gone terribly wrong. It was the equivalent of the poor-man's Michael Bay.
I didn't see many trailers for it.You can't help but be a bit predictable, especially when your big set pieces have been plastered all over the trailers.
I've made a point of avoiding all trailers for any films I'm remotely interested in because of this. Rarely watching a trailer has any benefit for me, far too often it ruins something for me instead!I didn't see many trailers for it.
