Gran Turismo 7 “April” Update Content Predictions…

My guesses :

Suzuka East Layout
2 others layout that were in GTS but didnt make it to GT7 yet.

A new mission tab with some endurances races.
Some new menus covering gt2 cars.
2 new songs.
Maybe a new car, hopefully a new gt3 car.
Suzuka East is already in the game though?

I have a feeling this will happen, as well. There are fixes that need to take priority over content at the moment.

However, if content would be added in April, I would hope they start looking at GT6 detailed cars. A nice pack would include could include at least 4 to 5 cars that appeared in GT6 and 1 to 2 newcomers. The number of cars per month may fluctuate from month-to-month, but consistency is key to begin in April. For the track in April, I would say Apricot Hill since it was teased in previous trailers or Twin Ring Motegi. My reason for Twin Ring is the circuit does have a real-life Gran Turismo Cafe, which could be a nice tie-in with the Cafe mode in GT7. In addition, the facility has four layouts (Super Speedway, Full, East and West) for more races and possible events. With this in mind, more menu books/general events could be added. I would say 3 to 5 would be good with at least 5 to 10 events. Lamborghini, Historic Cup and Super GT Cup being added would be good start.
PLEASE NO MORE CAFE!!!!! That is the most absurd thing I have ever seen in a racing game. I am loyal so I don't want certain car brands. And I definitely do not want my single player progression based on acquiring them. Especially if can't sell them! I just wish they'd go back to divisions and that had multiple races inside each one. Let me choose what car I want and then just race.

Which car brands do you refuse to own? 😂

I wish they can fix 10% of the bugs/missing things. That would be a good start.
Who wants new content if there are so many bugs and missing things? This game is far away from begin ready to market

I don't quite know what it has to do with this thread, but GT7 offered (before launch) exactly the same as GT Sport - regular, scheduled competitive races, an esports series, completely customisable lobbies - and added "meeting places". It was GT Sport's multiplayer again, but with new features, hence the score.

And then, after the reviews came out, the lobbies weren't hot-swappable like GT Sport and, for some reason and despite being perfectly fine in Sport on the same servers, public races were groaning with lag all over the place.

Just like the addition of incredibly expensive microtransactions right at the moment of launch, March 4's v1.05 (and on) was not the same game we played for the review at v1.02-v1.04.

If there's someone you need to know not to trust, it's not us or anyone else who objectively reviewed v1.02-v1.04. But that's up to you.

Firstly, no we're not. Our reviews are as objective as possible. Secondly... why would you imagine that? What's the connection?

If I added up all the posts that said we're biased towards GT (and those saying we shouldn't have negative opinions about GT because we're supposed to be biased towards GT) and subtracted all the posts that say GTP is biased against GT, I'd end up with zero. Or close to it.
Thats impressive... I didnt realise they changed the MP aspect from reviewer copies, to everyones final build. :banghead:

Another questionable move by PD!

I can't say if the fixed lobby settings was in the pre-release build or not - I don't recall either way - but the lag wasn't. Naturally with only a few hundred players worldwide it wasn't exactly a stress test (we've seen MP being fine in press builds of loads of games, only to struggle or even fall over at launch with tens of thousands connecting), but with GT Sport's servers capable of handling nearly 300,000 players a week at one point it's hardly unexpected that it'd handle a journo/influencer session or four without any issue.

Either way, we had no reason to suspect that there'd be a downgrade in lobby settings flexibility or multiplayer connectivity from GT Sport when GT Sport had been successfully running for more than four years and GT7 was stated to have a multiplayer "equivalent to GT Sport".

I should also add that, after a pretty difficult couple of weeks to start with (I had three bars; I don't do three bars), connectivity does seem to be improved recently.

With the game in a bit of a low score zone at the moment, we can hope that the first content update may start to improve the game and hopefully lay the foundations for what Gran Turismo 7 was supposed to be. I’m curious as to know what you fellow GT Players roughly predict the content for the first update will contain (assuming April will be the first month of new content which I’d like to safely assume but being PD at this point, who knows). If a thread similar or exactly like this already exists, then this can be removed.
Doubtful will get much new content...if any. Currently they need to bugfix, rebalance, and tweak the economy...which we already know is coming. They've already burnt the community, adding content will not bring back that many players. You only get one chance at a launch (No Man's Sky being the exception and not the rule...not to mention it took at least a year or 2 to recover from their initial blunder).

Maybe a new car...certainly no tracks or anything to actually make the game "fresh". Noone has gone through every car in the game, adding more cars wont fix the crappy rating or upset player base.

If PD hadn’t posted the ”apology” and promise to add some new content during April as specified, then you’d probably be entirely correct. I feel the first “considerable” update patch they said will improve some areas plus
”additional patches” will provide content on top of the prediction.

I'm brand loyal bro. Always. Grew up in a GM family (when GM was still relevant). So I really don't want to have anything to do with Ford or Dodge. German: I love my BMW's..........Japan: I am a Nissan fanatic. The point is, I have no desire to have certain cars in my garage. And I shouldn't be required to either. If I have to "win" Ford junk, at least give me the ability to sell it.

Since this post has become a wishlist of sorts (apologies to the OP Author), I'll bring up something else that seems absurd to me. Probably the least of most players concerns but anyway............How on God's earth can I have a Camaro with 900HP and not be able to install a roll cage? It's simple omissions like this that are mind boggling to me. Especially in the "Real Driving Simulator". Real? Well I can tell you this, a "real" 900HP race car would absolutely have a roll cage. Dumb? Maybe. But I stand by my words. Maybe less "Scapes" and "Photos" (what the heck do you guys do with those?) and more being able to actually make a car look like a race car.

To add to the point of making a race car look like a race car. Id like to be able to make my road car into a custom tuned race car. It can still be controlled in multiplayer via BoP. Allow us to add a larger gas tank (since road cars tuned up to/ close to their respective Gr class can’t match their racing equivalent). As long as it falls within the specifications of each class I don’t see why it’s a problem. Considering you have to pay to remove a handful of options, the car could even be locked to a class once you change it.

This would also include adding the body modifications that the gr3 cars have. It’s nice having Toms GT500’ supra, but I’d like to spec out a gr4 97 supra without feeling like I’m cheating when detuning the other one.

It was already stated that the first update in april will not have any new cars, its 2nd update in end of april that would add new cars and layouts, the first update would fix payouts and add in some events, more cars at once in hogerty dealer and used cars, we don’t know for sure witch festures will be added in the first update like more world circuit events, and cap to 100 million

They have to put new tracks and new cars in the April update at the beginning of April

It is getting boring doing the tracks over and over again it needs new tracks asap

We don’t know for sure yet, but i think new cars was not to come to game until late april, their is no new tracks just layouts of what i understand from pd statement, i am actully fine with no new cars or tracks until the end of april, i think expand the events on the tracks we already have and fix the game economy is the most important fix, but i still won’t say no to new content as cars and tracks, i hope they bring 8-10 new cars to april update when that drops

It would be nice if they fix the coding on the FFB issue with the G29 wheels and other wheels. Definitely not getting the input we should.

Okay I understand but I have done everything in the game

Cafe was just a way to cover the pittance of content at launch. Had they separated it into license categories like every other game has it would have been obvious that 3/5 of the game was missing. It was reviewer bait; make it appear the content is nearly endless, no mtx's in sight... Plus the idea of a car "menu" sounds like something a 4yo kid came up with.

I predict that the update with new cars will arrive april 28-29, i hope that brings even more events witch i think it will according to pd statement, hopefully with more cafe mission i quite like those, they also need to change how we can obtain roulettes, one per day is not enough their is so many tuning parts that only obtained in the roulettes, the way it works now i might never get they parts i want,

If you're talking content (if there even is any content coming this month), I wonder if Apricot Hill could be the first track to come in, seeing as it was teased in those trailers like Deep Forest but never included.

New cars are confirmed for late april, but i don’t think any new tracks just layouts

Ah. I guess predicting new cars would be like predicting when the sky is going to fall.

If you are already bored by 90 tracks one more isn't going to satisfy you. 😒
Unless all the tracks had already been in previous games and they actually added one that was new. One brand new track could be pretty satisfying if they picked a good one.

Of you would predict what cars to come i agree with you, but in pd statement they reveal that cars will be coming at end of april with new layouts
