I dont venture out much into the world of racing.. too many bad experiences to be honest! I may start though! If anyone can point me in the direction of people whho will show me decent places to race id be happy to run along

I had the pleasure of racing with speeddmon91 this past weekend and I agree, he is crazy fast!

Yes had a fast clean race with him a couple of days ago in Deep Forest, managed to finish first tho.

I'm running in a spec Focus ST league right now called World Sports Car Club and there is a guy named El_Aliens69 that is from another world! There is also a guy named teeds that is fast as all get out on there.

I haven't done so much on-line in GT5 as I've been focused on the completion side of the game... most recently getting all the cars, so most of my memories are from Prologue...

The fastest and most consistent... Timo, Dan (Hyperdan), Maz (Synwraith), Hugo (undutchable), Rudi (Raser), Jerry, Ramon, Truth123, Honeycar, loads of GTRP guys and pretty much anyone wearing a KOR tag... these drivers you could race bumper to bumper flat out for 10 laps with never a hint of contact or dodgy tactics.

I know there are loads more, but my memory for names is rubbish

IN GT5, it's been mostly the old Prologue crowd and I have to mention some SKILLS guys in DTM and Super GT cars too.

Thanks for the Team_Skills mention Chris, it's just a shame that hardly any of this team play GT5 anymore. A few of them have moved on to iracing, and there is only 3 or 4 of us left on GT5.

I have already mentioned Zkippe as one of the fastest people I have raced online, but thought I would give GTP_Zoky_Cro a mention, he's seriously fast. I have not raced against him in a lobby, but compete against him most weeks in the WRS, fantastic driver.

Yeah, Cudaman is proper fast... as is Dramakyd (Oz).

We can only hope that when they take the prologue servers offline on June 30th, that they implement them then.

Anyways, back on subject. Stotty is exceptionally fast, though he won't admit it, and I have never seen anyone drive a vintage muscle car as fast as Skeletor and Kalmaiya.

Just came across the best racer yet.

Ti-Tech85. Incredibly fast!! Just couldn't even keep up haha. Racing arcade F40's on S1's at Trial Mountain reverse over 5 laps he won by 5 seconds!. 1'37.3 he qualified with!.

Very clean too

I have raced with lot's of drivers that are insanely fast. Chief among them is Gar529, a GT Academy finalist that went over to Silverstone and can also be seen on the GT Acadamy show. He is on a whole nother level far as speed and smoothness around the track.

Can not really say if they were fast, I can only confirm that I was a lot slower!

I don't race online often, but i've not yet seen any fast drivers. not genuinely fast drivers. Compared to when I race on iRacing the competition as a whole on GT5 is extremely weak. But then I guess with iRacing you got 30k sim racers in one place, and in GT5 you got a few million gamers of all types and abilities.

Jett Racer. Ran into him a few times online and he's one guy I just can't seem to beat. Does well in the time trials too...top ten from what I've seen.

Leaderboards don't tell you who is fast, they tell you who is fast and has too much time to practice lapping over and over. If you want to see who is genuinely fast then you need to race.

On iRacing you often see guys who can blag a 1 lapper and do some crazy qualifying time, only to drive like a buffoon in a race, the planets aligned in his qualifying run and he got a freak lap time well above his weight. Then you got the guys who will do 80million laps at a track to try to get the planets to align (hello GT academy) for the perfect lap.

Obviously those guys are still very fast drivers, but its not often the case that they can race at that same intensity.
