215km/h in my old Proton Satria GTI (1.8L 4G93 NA stock in a car that really actually is a 1993 version of the Mitsubishi Mirage hatchback just rebadged in my country)

206km/h so far in my Honda Integra DC2 SI

The RS hatchback one? Seriously nice little warm hatch. Too bad Proton stopped exporting those in LHD.

I've said it before and I'll say it again:

We don't need to know where you went fast, just how fast you went.

142 mph in a BMW 5 series at 2:00 am (#%&) heading south towards (#@!). Some guy in a rented 4 door Chevy Cavalier kept chasing me down. I would leave him in the straights but he would catch up at the curves 'cuz I would slow down to 90 mph he would pass me up and start sliding around I thought he was going to lose it a couple of times but he recovered the road was a bit damp too. Man! that guy was crazy. Oh! and then I fell off my bed and woke up when I crashed..LOL hope this sounds a little better!!!

Hit the Escort's speed governor at 105. Bit easier to get to than the Blazer.

Fortunately, I don't need to change my vote.

I think the highest I've gone in my Accord (or anything else, for that matter) is about 95. I'm looking to push 100 soon, but I-25 near me is patrolled fairly well. I'd have to go deep into Nebraska, and it's just not worth it.

Also true. There's usually lights behind the grill now.

Or attached to the inside of the roof at the back of the SUVs (and I think behind the base of the rear window in the cars). I was tailing one tonight on our main 'cruise night' strip. An F-body Trans Am and some other car took off at a light - obviously not seeing the undercover cop a few places back - and once traffic opened, the cop moved over a couple lanes real quick and floored it. Damn quick for an Explorer, but didn't get the racers.

170 though, wow.

That's a hell of a rental cavalier!

More like a hell of a driver. He could only top out at maybe 120mph or less so I would leave him behind. When we hit the curves I would slow down to 80 or 90 mph but he kept going really fast so he would catch up and pass me. I had too let him pass it looked liked he was willing to crash the car just to prove he was the faster driver...LOL

256km\h (160Mph), VE HSV Clubsport with a 427ci C5R engine....

When I seen your name in this thread I thought I'd better come check it out, glad I did.:sly: Don't forget we still have that Holden Fan Club here on GTP.;)

Also behind the rear view mirror and sometimes on the dash as well, but those wouldn't shake due to the wind at 170mph. ;)

250mph 80mph, I keep at legal limits. (Actually I dont dare cross that speed barrier in my Fiat 500).
I once reached 145mph while track racing

145mph on I5 in southern california, with plenty of power left, just not enough room (traffic approaching)

one day on my way to my moms in arizona, ill try to go past 145.
apparently the limiter kicks in at 157mph on ls2 gtos.

ill try to confirm it too with a picture of the speedo and gps.

160 in an older MKII Supra built up. Pretty scary! Alone? 90 on a CBR999R. Now I'm 5'5" and weigh 140lb's. That is a big bike, and I didnt have my lisence, nor allot of expirence on that bike, I was scared...

How quickly we forget...

I've said it before and I'll say it again:

As I said, the important thing with this thread, to prevent it from having to be locked for discussion of illegal activities, is to say WHAT your fastest is, not WHERE you did it.

Please, folks, can we remember the rule about not discussing illegal activities on GTPlanet?

All we need to know in this thread is how fast you've gone in your car, not where you did it. Unless you did it on an Autobahn/derestricted road/private road/track/airfield, it's not going to be legal. So don't bring the location into it.

We don't need to know where you went fast, just how fast you went.

Yes, because speeding on public roads is something that everyone aspires to. Enjoy crashing at 160 imaginary miles per hour.

I prefer 60-70 real miles per hour around twisty back lanes.

Me too. Much more fun. The fastest I went in my car(93' BMW 325I) was about 120 mph.

I hit just under 100 in my car a while ago. Fantastic. I'll do it better very soon, so I'll not vote just yet.

Cars are really fast!

210kmh (130mph) with my then Mazda 626. Measured it with satellite navigation as the speedo was telling something like 240 and the 626 would have never gone that fast ;)
I've driven a Mercedes CLK 500 at 250kmh (155mph) but that wasn't mine ;) It could have gone even faster if there weren't such a stupid thing like voluntarily limiting he top speed of the cars in Germany

Heh, pushed the ole Interceptor to about 130mph ish from what the speedo said. Car still felt like it had a heck of a lot more left in her. She could probably hit 140mph If I find a long enough road!

Funny fact, the front pushbar starts to wiggle after about 120mph!

LOL I did what I believed was 140 in my P71. :D

Note this post: #1257

Seems this is my top speed in the currently configuration.

Tonight after work I was determined to top the van out...and after 10 seconds of ~103mph I decided my luggage rack is causing some drag due to there being plenty of revs left... Damn it was irritating.

As long as you've been a member here, I don't think anyone has a reason to doubt you. :)

Oh yeah?!

I went 199.999999 mph in my Geo Metro!

There's no reason you should doubt me - i been here since 2003. ;)

Just kiddin'.

Badass. How fast do you reckon a stock P71 would do? Did yours feel like it could do more at 140mph or was it pretty much dead after 140?

Don't you hate blurry photos. I hate my camera sometimes...

That was actually a small bump and I didnt want to attempt a second time for fear of being out of gas :P

Due to weight, gearing and drag probably 155-160.

^damn, fast car. Mine feels slightly swift, and...

It ran out of steam today at 116 mph (190 kph). Actually, I think it hit an unnecesary speed limiter. I mean, without it, it would run straight up to something mad, like 118!

Related: WHEEEEEEEEE! Cars are fun!

An indicated 168mph in my Evo 8 is the fastest for me.

Dont think it had much more to give the engine wasnt on the limiter but the aerodynamics had reached their limit with the power available :D

Maybe with a few mods I could get a bit more... 💡

I was finally on the freeway again the other day and hit 100. A couple friends were firing water and spit wads out the windows from re-pressurized (to ~110psi) fire extinguishers. Most didn't do to well at those speeds, but that's what cruise night's for. Good times.
