Favourite Comedian(s)

In descending order

Lee Evans
Peter Kay
Al Murray
Chris Rock
Ricky Gervais
Paddy Mcguiness

I like Demetri Martin:

Also Dane Cook, Bill Cosby, Richard Pryor... so many funny guys come to mind. Eddie Murphy was awesome. Tough question.

Mine are Michael MacIntyre and Frankie Boyle

MacIntyre on Live At The Apollo was amazing and Frankie is just...

I just watched both of their DVDs and I am disappointed in Frankies. He's a good one liner but beyond that hes nothing more. Like Jimmy Carr, his shows are just good one liners.

Agree, that's why I prefer watching him in Mock the Week. MacIntyre on the other hand can keep jokes going on and on, He is also quite fluid in changing subjects.

Top 5:
1. George Carlin
2. Eddie Murphy
3. Denis Leary
4. Jeff Dunham
5. Ron White

Also Dane Cook
:odd:

Eddie Izzard definitely tops my list by a wide wide margin. From there it’s roughly equal between Lisa Lampanelli, Gilbert Gottfried, Bobby Slayton, Bob Saget (yes, Bob Saget), George Carlin, and probably several others I can’t remember off the top of my head.

Hard to single out a select few, but I'll give it a go.

Rodney Dangerfield
Mitch Hedberg
Demetri Martin
Steven Wright
Probably lots more I can't think of at the moment.

Tough to say. Lewis Black, Dave Chappelle, Mitch Hedberg, Ron White, Bill Engvall, Jeff Dunham, Robin Williams, and Chris Rock, though I have to listen to him in intervals. Otherwise, his white jokes can get a tad annoying. But, I love his jokes on women & men.

Bah no love for the greatest.

He may well be no longer with him, but for me the greatest ever would have to be Bill Hicks.

Scaff

Nobody has said anything about Katt Williams yet...I suppose it's an acquired taste, lol.

Also, Lewis Black gets me fired up ever time.

My favourites would have to be Ross Noble and Arj Barker. Unfortunately, I haven't had the chance to see them live, but I'd say it'd be well worth the money.

There is a thread about stand-up comedians here, but this thread seems better placed and more general...

I've detailed my favourite stand-up comedians in that thread, but to add to that, my favourite comedians are Spike Milligan (mad genius creator of The Goon Show), John Cleese (the Milligan-inspired "head" of Monty Python), Ronnie Barker (one half of The Two Ronnies), Ben Elton (creator of The Young Ones and the man who made Blackadder funny), Chris Morris (Brass Eye, The Day Today), Rob Brydon (Marion & Geoff, Human Remains), Julia Davis (Human Remains/Nighty Night) and last but by no means least, my favourite current comedian and comic actor, Steve Coogan (I'm Alan Partridge, Saxondale... but none of his "funny" movies, though)

Wew, I like Dat Phan. He is fooni mayne. I like hyis Eye baw joke.

there is also this Korean comedian that I like but i can't remember his name.
He is the one who was raised in like Fort Worth so he has this southern accent but looks Korean. I think he's funny even after i get over hearing him talk. "what's that clickin' noise?"
