What's wrong with people anyway? Don't they realise that English is the lingua franca :sly:

A few days ago, Theewar sent me this joke saying that it " sums up the dubs"

A swiss man,on holiday in dublin, needed directions. He was standing outside Brown Thomas on grafton street and he saw two local lads walking by. So he stops them and asks: "Entschuldigung, koennen sie Deutsch Sprechen?" The two lads look at each other blankly and stare back at him."Excusez-moi, parlez vous Francais ?" he tries. The two continue to stare. "Parlare Italiano?" Still absolutely no response fron the two lads. "Hablan ustedes Espanol?" The local lads remain totally silent.

The swiss guy walks off extremely disappointed and downhearted that he had not been understood. One of the lads turns to the second and says,"Jeasus Y'Know, maybe we should learn a foreign language!" "Why?" says the youth. "That fella knew four languages, and it didnt do him any good!"

So ... are you from Dublin? :D

:gtpflag:

Hi hm66 I did accept your challenge, I've had my eyes open for you online but keep missing you (my fault not been on as often in the last week) As soon as were both on we'll get some of the races done mate.

Maybe able to do it later tonight err... tomorrow. 11.00 pm E.S.T. - I think you're 15 hours ahead?

I'll go with the 360GT.

So what's the scoop guys? We saw you both in a private room with the 360GT? :) Is it over?

ENERGIYA takes it 4 - 3 in a classic showndown.

Monza - ENERGIYA pulls away to an early lead & wins by a comfortable margin with 2 sec faster lap times, clearly showing his superiority on this track.

Silverstone - Biggles makes a couple of errors early in the race allowing ENERGIYA to establish a 10 sec lead which Biggles is unable to dent over the remaining laps. Both finish with similar best lap times.

Mugello (wet) - It's ENERGIYA'S turn to make a couple of minor errors which gives Biggles a 4 sec lead which he hangs onto to finish in first. Similar best lap times.

Vallelunga - Biggles cements his comeback with a convincing win after slipping past ENERGIYA on the first lap & steadily building on his lead in the remaining laps. Biggles posts the fastest lap time.

ALL TIED AT 2!

INTERMISSION: Biggles takes a break to read a Princess story to his 6 year-old...

California - ENERGIYA (shamelessly) humiliates Biggles winning by a wide margin after Biggles picks up a penalty on the first lap. No surprises here as ENERGIYA posts a 2 sec (or was it more?) faster lap time. :yuck:

Mont Tremblant - Biggles in a must-win situation. The clock is set for a 10 minute race. Biggles starting in 2nd place chases ENERGIYA through the entire race, gaining very slightly every lap in what is an almost flawless high-pressure race for both drivers. In the end, Biggles falls short & ENERGIYA wins by a second in an epic contest. Similar best lap times.

Spa - 10 minute race. Biggles starts in the lead, but ENERGIYA gains steadily in the first lap & drafts past on the opening straight of the second lap. Biggles digs deep & hangs on through another two intense laps of flawless racing by both drivers, with an incredible side-by-side downhill battle & eventually seizes the opportunity to slip inside ENERGIYA at the final hairpin on the second to last lap. Both drivers finish with fastest laps within 2 10ths of each other.

Congratulations to ENERGIYA for his win. The two last races were first-class.

I'm going to have to blow-up California (the track, not the State)...

Great work biggles with the results.

The last two races were amazing, especially SPA. brilliant racing.

BTW biggles, just rember to update ladder. And i still think the top 3 should not be on the list, still nothing ftom them in weeks

👍 Congratulations! And well done both. Danjama and I were sitting in our own lobby at the time waiting to start a race and just speculating over what was happening. (And slightly bummed that there's no way to observe another race which you're not a part of). Neither wanted to predict the outcome and we knew it would be close. Energiya actually entered our lobby, ran 90% of a race and we were all kicked out on the last lap so I never had the chance to ask how things were progressing.

 Try watching an episode of Speed Racer next time.

A better idea would be to watch TOP GEAR.

Will leave the "top three" on for the rest of the week - then remove them if no activity...

Did anyone challenge any of them after Biggles replaced Mingoturbo in his original slot?

Acording to the rules, Sarrinen can't challenge anyone. But he has posted here and he has been racing online (kind enough to invite me to his lobby whenever he finds me there, even if I'm no match for him).

About SEGEL I don't know, never talked to him or met him.

And the last thing Mingoturbo wrote, in his personal page, was when could he have a rematch (because he noticed he was down one spot in the ladder). After the positins were back to original only thing he could do was challenge either SEGEL or Sarrinen.

It's not my business, but many other players have been silent lately, if you exclude all of them from the ladder (without them even declining challenges, repeatedly and without valid reason) we'll end up just a few.

Energiya, challenge Sarrinen, SEGEL or Mingoturbo. Then, if no reply comes, tell that to Biggles. He has contact with all of them, so he'll sort it out.

I don't like exclusions.

OK then Hun200kmh.

I challenge SARRINEN & i pick 360 GT / F430 GT2 & F430 challenge.
And the tracks i pick are MUGELLO / MONZA / MISANO & CALIFORNIA.

And please be gentle, your way faster than me.

E: I suggest you challenge Sarrinen as he has been on GTPlanet recently. I don't have any evidence that SEGEL had ever been on here. He did agree to participate on the PSN, but perhaps he didn't really understand what he was agreeing to?!

There is a good group of fast German racers including Higgiracer, krufti, SEGEL, hazen & others who seem to race actively online.

There is also a group of Brits: the UKOGs, who have an organized league.

Mingoturbo seemed to be quite interested in participating, perhaps because there aren't a lot of Spanish racers online (although I think boysnake, one of the fastest FC racers, is also Spanish), but I think he may be intimidated because of his lack of English language ability.

I was hoping to keep SEGEL involved so that Sarrinen would have someone to race compettively against. But if we can't get him participating I'll take him off the ladder.

Hun200km, i took you advice & edited my challenge post & changed it from SEGEL to SARRINEN. But trying to challenge sameone with his speed would be nuts from my point of view

I would be doing this - .:banghead::

hey, hey, THAT was Biggles advice, not mine !! Anyway, unless Biggles changes the rules Sarrinen is stuck in the first place, he cannot challenge anyone so I guess you're doing the favour of him having a challenge. 👍

OK OK, i thought it was your idea, not biggles. What he trying to do, give me a heart attack. I allready had an epic series with biggles.
And i thank him for it, best challenge series i have had

👍👍👍 Biggles

Just like i said earlier, it would turn in a massacre against SARRINEN.

SEGEL & Sarrinen seem to be quite evenly matched, but I have beaten SEGEL on a couple of occasions, while I have never come close to beating Sarrinen. However, Sarrinen is always quite willing to race with anyone, so you should give it a shot E.

OK Biggles, i will give it a try, that if he would accept the challenge or you let him know.

BTW, you know there is divisions in GT5P, could we set up divisions for FC.

The point of the divisions in GT5P was to split up the many drivers applying into smaller, ability-based groups. Doesn't really seem necessary with the small number of participants we have for FC at the minute. In any case, the flexibility of the ladder seems like a better system to me because it allows for racers to organize their race times to suit their own particular schedules.
