We could retain this thread for its current purpose, but only have the scheduled times posted in the chat room announcement header? So all anyone would need to do is pop into the chat, take note of the times and then give the PC back to the misses. ;)

Oh, and flame anyone who posts here saying "in at 05".

Yes or alternatively tell the missus to "do one" :D

Seriously though sounds good to me 👍

No Missus to worry about here, but also, no PC!! The chatroom wont work on my PS3 so I wouldnt be able to find the times.

While I do agree with you, I only agree to a certain extent. Personally, I believe it's 80% Driver and 18% set-up (and 2% chance). I bet if you had all 3 drivers try each other's set-ups, you would likely find that they do best on their set-up because it's what they're comfortable with. If you're not comfortable with the car (which is all setting it up does, is make it comfortable), then chances are your laps will be slower than if you are.

That's just my 2 cents.

my opinion is that the setup is more then 18%, more likely 50/50, wrong setup bad driver, no skills in the world can get you faster then the others, myself is having a problem whit gear ratios, still slower..

thank you all for some good racing last night, it was awesome..

Some great racing tonight ! Thanks go to GT Kevin, BTH Kaksi, BTH Fantomas for that epic race! Thats me for tonight.

@ Rudi
Thank you for posting some video of your NSX races...skill on show for sure.

What interests me is the back ground noise of your wheel being thrashed to a inch of it's life!
Is this because at that speed the car is trying to throw it's self from the track and you are correcting it?

Thank you

I want to personally appologize for interfering with your guys schedules. I'm still practicing with the NSX and are not remotely competitive enought to run with you guys using that car. On the other hand, I just wanted to have some good racing with people who are competitive and clean. I just thought that if you run clean and courteous, that you would be allow on the track. Sorry again guys if I did interfere. Thank you though for a wonderful time.

I would have thought anyone can join, hell i do in wrong car, if you race clean and courteous thats what the guys at GTP want to see, your pace doesnt matter, some of those guys are stoopidly quick, but there's many levels of ability here.......join, race and above all enjoy.

Well Chunkee,
From the free laps you put down I believe you are in the
stoopidly quick
category

After the first turn, I would not come anywhere near you till you double me :scared:.

But you are right, we are all out there to have fun, some do it fast some are slow, it does not matter if you do it right and do not spoil the fun for the others.

Well to add I was in a silver Clio and not the NSX. I saw you in the white RX8 yesterday Chunky and spun out on the last stretch don't know if you remember. Mine screen name is solarr. I've used some of your tune before and do like it very much. Also appology goes out to El_Zissou for the contact yesterday. Sorry man.

But this is an NSX only event

I tried to connect to a race about an hour ago and of course, failed first time. I figured I'd go for some free running and landed a personal best of T1: 58.946 - T2 1'48.979 - 2'15.046

Even managed a T1 of 58.783. I was so nervous up to Spoon I think I pretty much forgot to turn left...

Uploading to GTDB now. No clutch, No cheat bug, and 107% weight 👍 ;)

All the best

My apologies, I am one of the aforementioned lurkers who have been infecting your races. I may not be as fast as you guys yet, but i'm pretty good for a ds3 driver. I also go out of my way to avoid contact. I have careened off the track to avoid slamming into the back of an early braker. So i'm not a random idiot punter trying to f you up. I usually let everyone by and then try to follow someone to learn how to be faster.

Anyways, how does one go about earning their way into the circle of trust on this site?

I think by introducing yourself here you put yourself knocking on the "circle of trust" door allready...:)👍👍

Welcome to GTPlanet as a member...:)

Hi and welcome, good to have another DS3 user :D, what kind of times are you driving?
I changed my tune by a little bit (0.02 toe) and in my first lap went 0.6sec faster than my personal best. I did race the whole weekend so I was a bit rusty, only did about 15 laps yesterday so I was pretty happy.
My best time now is 2'16.257 I don't think there is much room for further improvement (watched my replay afterwards). Unless I find something more in the tune, I will try and figure out Rudi's gear ratios tonight :dunce:

Whitey093

Welcome to GTP, dont worry to much you'll soon get it, if more people were like you and found where the brake was into the first corner, it would be better all round. 👍

Missjugements happen, we all do it I'll enjoy racing with you any time.

Phillip.

Missjugements happen, we all do it

I do believe there is some misunderstanding when you read the OLR rules.

1) You avoid contact, still it can happen.
2) If you have contact, show respect. Wait for the person if they loose control due to your contact, put your ego away and make it fun for all. Waiting makes it more close and better.
3) No real rule on this, but when I have doubts on some parts in the race, I tend to slow down at the end line and let the people involved pass the line before me. I'm there to have a nice race, I do not mind losing at the line.

People that are fast, but push all others off the track to prove they end up on position 1 in the race ever time are not people in the GTP spirit and mostly not appreciated.

B.T.W you will see that most groups (GTHQ, GTRP, GTro, GT5rs...) have very similar ideas and will send over PSN a message "Sorry, my mistake" or "Thank you for the nice race".

I find that if anyone is faster than me then I will slow down to let them buy, because I hate nothing more when I know that I am faster than that person in front and he/she know's it and will not let you pass. With the NSX@550pp Suzuka, once you go off track even two wheels it takes me a lap to get back in the groove and from there I'm just staying consistant until the end always trying to Improve my lap times.

I have a problem with the Lotus Elise's :banghead: and Clio's. Many times have they been in the way and have punted me with no remorse like a theif in the night. I let them go until they mess up and I pass them and then they catch me and it goes over and over and over.....you get the Idea

In for a few 👍

Watch out for Oskar :grumpy:

EDIT: 2 FTCs in a row, waiting for 05

All the best
Maz

Had a mega race with Dan ! 5 clean, fast laps:) Well covered at final corner!

Thanks to Spyrrari, Twistybits, Kemp1010, Rutter200, BTH_alter-ego, BTH_Don540iA, NeunAchtel and anyone else I forgot for the great racing tonight

Twisty, Kemp, Rutter thanks for waiting for me earlier when I was miles back after getting punted at the start 👍
