the car's look 2 different gens apart...

It's hardly a fair comparison, the GT shot has immaculate AA, immaculate reflections etc, it's clearly not in-game gameplay by a long shot, the FM shot is clearly at best an still quite aliased replay or in-game camera..

There are clearly more believably in-game shots of GT5 later in the vid, that still hold up better then FM3, but even so, the aliasing is absolutely immaculate, it's at best in-engine with post processing..

I think in-game actual gameplay will be a bit closer then you think, but there is no way in hell T10 can achieve PD's car lighting/shaders, they are class.

On this Forza screen the car isn't moving, so this may be some sort of photomode, thers no good close up while it is moving.

No, the camera is panning realtime, the car is stationary, but it's defo not photo-mode.

It's all moot, we all know FM3 isn't going to render it's cars as well as GT5, we all know this, but I wouldn't be fooled by the Ferrari vid sections with the insane reflections/AA etc.. these are far too high res etc to be realtime in-game, the best you could hope for would be some special high LOD single car attract mode, which again is not in-game..

Holy hell, these are amazing. Its interesting that Ferrari commissioned both Turn 10 and Polyphony Digital to make those. Either they are capitalizing on the hype surrounding both games or are looking at which way to go in the future. I found both videos to be really good and out of the two(which was a hard choice), I lean slighty towards GT not because of the graphics or the music (both of which I found great in both videos) but I just liked how GT's solely focused on the car itself which in my opinion is how you do a tribute video. I'll probably get called a fanboy because of this, but thats how I felt about them.

Yeah that wink IS suspicious! But it's very little evidence... maybe we are too hyped up if we start seeing these kinda things as a hint :ill:
They must be on to something, the plot thickens....

they know something Big is about to drop

OMG, they're setting up us the bomb!!!:scared:

Funny, that doesn't look to dfferent from this forum

From my point of view the Gran Turismo video blew away the Forza 3 video. The textures, lightning and overall detail in the PD video was so incredibly stunning, I was not impressed at all with the car in Forza after seeing PD's version. PD's quality is simply breathtaking

I disagree: Showing the user Interface super car render as "gameplay visuals" and some touched up replay (at least x4/8 Anti Aliasing + Filters ) of GT5 will surely win the heart of the Sony/PD fans but like the disgusting marketing campaign for GT PSP, PD is not rendering the reality of its game (that you can see for yourself in HD direct feed of the last Gamescon)... Ten turns even if the quality is not as good is a bit more true in the rendition of this Video which SEEMS to be rendered with the ingame x4 AA graphic engine.... I add that the two videos are not the same quality to judge fairly: GT video is HD, Forza is not at the moment...

That been said, GT is winning the Global lighting/color tone and the Artistic department but that's pretty all, both game seems pretty much equal on the other graphic parts: car details and polygons, sounds, gameplay richess.... etc...

Sorry guys if this is already pointed out, I don't want to read all 15 pages.... But did anyone notice tail light detail between the two games. In GT5, you can see all the LED's. Forza sadly looks like a brake light off a cheap car.

....i see there milking the customers joyfully... why not just put the car in the game?

That is how gaming companies roll these days. GT5 most likely has some DLC ready to go right now as well. It's all about making money. They don't give a rats butt about the consumer.

As they should. One is in game and the other is a TV commercial. It's kinda like the GT5p vids before we actually got the game. They looked completely different. It's all about marketing.

Thats where I think you are wrong, I mean how many other companies would give you 3 cars which had only just been announced for free?

Yeah ok...

Tell me then why do the shots of the car in game on both high speed ring and fuji also look much better than the forza shots.

Word. I love Polyphony but their marketing department is pretty sneaky. Borderline dishonest.

I mean just look at these GT PSP pics they released...

They seriously tried to pass these off as GT PSP pics :ill:

Ok, and where does it stand "actual game fotage" They never said those pix are gtpsp.

Ok.

Because it's your opinion?

No because it's just pretty much fact unless you are my gran who needs the worlds biggest magnifying glass to see past the end of her nose.

I mean are you seriously trying to tell me those forza shots look better?

Even the forza fanboys accept that GT will look better.

Well, they look like models from GT PSP rendered on a bigger machine and heavily enhanced. Unless they specifically called them an "in-game" screenshots - it's nothing out of the ordinary (well, real PSP shot would be like 480x272, so...).

The only thing that's different between GT5p trailer vs real game play is the AA, filters, and improved FPS, remove all of those and you can clearly see that it's running in-game graphics. Maybe the GT5 tribute are better than the real game play with less AA, filter etc, but one thing is for sure, GT5 will look better than GT5p.
