Both videos are great and the Gt one has the best graphics but the Forza one looks like the most exciting with the car compressing on its suspensions as it was drifting and leaving power sliding skid marks - imagine chasing that car in a porsche or Lamborghini and seeing the skidmarks it leaves as it's sliding around under full power - amazing - real and fun to watch.

See, thats where I'm starting to feel a little bit worried about TGS.

That the sound will still be 'lets drive a hoover' and also when the Ferrari accelerated away from the pit lane there was no wheel-spin tyre marks left on the road - such a simple thing to incorporate, but without it, it is just ridiculous.

I want to watch a replay of me driving a ferrari sideways in GT5 leaving thick black lines across the road - glorious - this is what 'm looking forward to the most if it's not in the game I'll be quite annoyed.

Come on PD!!

Nobody complains about the graphics, but Sound is a common complaint. There is plenty of room for improvement in that area.

The thing I've found about GT5 Prologue is that to get good sound you really need a decent sound system, after alot of tweaking I've got it sounding like heaven, honestly, I am thinking of making a recording of the F40 in a race just so I can listen to it when I'm going to sleep.

I am under the suspicion that the sounds in the Forza 3 trailer are not in-game. It doesn't correspond good enough with the footage. But I'm think their in-game sounds will be better than GT5's.

Not ingame sound? Never heard that one before. Watch it again. The revs match up perfectly as it lays down that thick patch of rubber.

Okay. :( I'll download it and upload it to my FTP. I'll send you a PM in a few minutes with the link.

dude....seriously, you don't have to go through all that work man. It's just a video I can watch when I get home. I have patience....and 5 hours left of work :nervous:

I take it you haven't played GT5 Prologue? The cars don't sound anything like hoovers, unless you have one hell of a hoover?

Sound is soo important to suck you into a game and GT5 has got to pull its socks up and catch up with the competition if it doesn't want poor reviews for sound content/quality.

I was joking when comparing to a hoover but on Sunday i was in my local HMV and they had NFS Shift playing and my god the sound was incrediable - really got your heart racing when you were playing it.

Watch a scary scene in a movie then watch it again without the sound - not half as scary.

Hearing is a magical sense - PD need to tickle our eardrums as well as sooth our eyes.

I'm not sure ofcourse.
When it first makes a burnout, there's no car sound, but the second time, when he does it under driving, the sound stays thesame while the car is moving further away from the camera... could be my imagination though. :)

There has to be something to improve for GT6... But ok, I agree that it must be better than in GT4 & GT5P.

I pay my PS3 in my studio where I produce music - my speakers and subwoofer are professional music production speakers and are as flat as pancakes sonically for a true mix. (Not coloured like the average stereo system you have at home).

GT5P sounds ok on them speakers until you try another racing game not mentioning any names and then GT5p sounds Artificial, fake restricted in its range of tones and 'computer gamey' if that makes sense. As if they have not being recorded but manufactured if you will.

not real sounding.

The HD version of the Gran Turismo Tribute to the F458 is on GTTV in GT5Prologue and is beautiful. 170ish MB. Wishful thinking but do you think PD has slipped the 458 into GTPSP?.... One can dream... :D

I have to disagree with you there, on my setup NFS Shift doesn't sound as realistic as GT5P, it sounds forced, Ferrari Challenge sounds better than both by along way, apart from the constantly slipping clutch which is so annoying I can't play the game.

As you see only 4 car makers per day, who knows what will show up in the ferrari garage!

Good for you, but the setup I have in my "cockpit" coupled with a LFE "Earthquake" unit sounds damn fine to me, sounds like you bought the wrong kit ? Sorry about that.

I'm not so sure SHIFT is going for absolute realism in it's sound. But MY GOD the sound is AMAZING. It's just....Vicious.

Even if it's not completely realistic SHIFT just has MORE sound that GT5P. It sounds like Polyphony used 10 mics to record the cars sounds where SHIFT was using 30 mics. There's all kinds of little details in the sound you can hear with SHIFT that just aren't present in GT 5P.

Wow great find!

But you guys really mean both videos are ingame? holy crap no words to say...

But I got to say GT5 looks better than FM3... BUT the improvements from FM2 to FM3 are amazing... they have done a great job too...

EDIT: If we come to the sounds,as a GT fan I got to say the sounds are not the best thing in the game... When I turn my sound system on and put Supercar Challenge in my PS3,I´am getting an orgasm... On GT5P that doesn´t sounds really good...

fully agreed... T10 did a great job in such short time

At the end he says

That minds "A beautifull machine"

Just to let you know XD.

If Shumi says that, must be true.

they build this car (f458) with Schumacher's directive/acknowledgment...
it's normal that Schumi say that 👍

and look at the photo, the rear one with engine shows the bridge of high speed valley...

Ok it does, but that F458 in GT5 looks so real. I thought it was kind of a joke from Ferrari because ... those reflections ... those ... words are senseless. Just look at it.
