Because we have very busy staff. ;)

The staff at GTPlanet have been doing an awful lot of winking lately - they know something Big is about to drop - we know GT5 will be announced at TGS but why are the staff so busy -are they preparing the website for the game when it comes out so they have all the necessary rooms for all the different classes of cars/races etc. - this is why they are busy I reckon.

KY loves surprises and I'm going to stick my neck out on the line now and say that GT5 will be landing by the end of October 2009 or the first week in November.

I can call UPS etc now and have a parcel delivered half way around the world pre 10 am if i want, so what's stopping PD slapping some advertising on our TV's in october whilst producing the disks and then shipping them out worldwide for a release - it could and can be done.

KY has said the game is ready, its being officially announced at TGS and the biggest surprise is that it will be with us next month.

You knows it!:)

It's probably just that stupid websense at my work. Sorry about that.

Off Topic: Nope, I think it has something to do with the website a few years ago. It's my friends FTP and he was nice enough to let me have an account on it. Anyway, I remember him saying that his host was hacked a few years ago and that is what caused the phishing/fraud warning, but that's a few years ago and the host/website is okey today. Something like that, I don't remember all the details.

Sorry for Off Topic. :)

Yeah that wink IS suspicious! But it's very little evidence... maybe we are too hyped up if we start seeing these kinda things as a hint :ill:

Oh my god, i immediatly noticed a fair amount of improvement, in the rear view of the engine bay ( it seems that way to me ).So this is apparently an in game video then ?.I can see where the improvements have been made, so congrats KY & PD team.

Delivering one package across the world in a day is totally different than distributing a game that will likely ship around 5 million. Than you have to allow time to make sure every warehouse around the world gets it, than allow more time for the warehouses to ship to stores(which can take from a day to a week). That has to be done before the game can launch.

That is just the shipping which would take about 2-3 weeks. Now add in the manufacturing time which I would think would be another 2-3 weeks to make the disks, packaging as well as putting the data on the disk.

Add it up and December looks like a golden month.

Wow! That is a truely epic video, my mouth is now dry! :nervous:

But, something I've noticed. I don't remember headlights ever being on when racing the Nurburgring, or HSR with the exception of the Z06. Could this be evidence of day and night?

Also, my minor disappointment... no tyre marks when accerlating out of the pit lane... :ouch:

No, don't think so... more and more new cars have led daylights which are always on. I'm guessing the 458 as well so in that case it's no evidence of day/night cycle.
On the other hand, an Audi R8 has daylights and those aren't on in Prologue, so....💡

I've watched both those vids now and I'd have to say that Forza vid is a bit more "honest."

What I mean by that is, it was all Gameplay, it was all taken from replays. By exporting vids from Forza people will be able to make vids that look exactly like that.

By comparison, nobody is going to be able to make one of their GT 5 vids look like that. There was a lot of "CGI using in game assets" in that vid just like they used for their E3 concept vid.

What is the timeframe since Forza 3 went gold until it's release date?

wow! I come home from school and I find this! One of not many dream cars I wanted to see in GT and there it is in all its glory :D

Alot of speculation in there

Your point being? It's a promotional video for the car first, the game second, if Turn 10 didn't put in the effort to show off the car instead of the game than that tells us alot about their attitude.

And what about the E3 video of Forza, didn't people say "this is what you will be able to make with Forza 3"? with all the stupid choreographed fake looking driving?

I think the first bit of the forza trailer wasn't gameplay, but I think they used in-game graphics for that too.

Yes, that's exactly the same thing. The GT 5 vid from E3 and one of the Forza 3 vids from E3 were both done as CGI using in game assets.

Think so too. I wonder who believes still that the game will REALLY look that good, oh well...

I still don't get your point.

They are both not real, you don't know how they were made, none of us do, it doesn't matter either, the GT5 one looks more realistic, simple.

What do you take us for? we have played GT5 Prologue, we know what the game will look like, do I watch Toy Story and think my kids toys get up and talk and go on adventures when no ones around?

Some people will say anything to be nagative about Gran Turismo, but the reality is you only make yourself look foolish, shame really.

The beginning sequence is not in-game, but the on-track footage showed is likely in-game graphics I assume. So I believe it may really look that good.

Am I the only one that noticed through out the trailer the cars headlights? Most of the trailer its off.

But here the headlights are on. Does this indicate dynamic night/day or even a toggle to turn the lights on or off?
