@KingKlingeling, can't say much about tackling turn one sans abs. I did spend one practice session working on it and after a dozen smoky crashes gave up and enabled abs. My 'skills' (ha!) aren't yet up the task of threshold braking for that long with that much modulation -- as I'm sure you've already found, you really have to ease up just so after the transition off the banking, before getting back on the clampers for the final bit of braking for T2.

I might have to give it another go, though.... the rest of the lap is really nice without abs, it's just T1/T2 that made me give up this time!

lol, exactly the same here

I have my wheel attached to an old organ bench, the pedals are on the floor, and I sit in a lazy boy. It works suprisingly well.

So long as everything stays put, improvised setups can be quite satisfactory. I was content with mine until I started looking at dedicated rigs!

For many years I used one of these. It wasn't very stable as it was only braced by my knees, but it worked and didn't take up much room and was very easy to setup/take down.

I plan on being online tonight to get some basic parity parameters and car selection sorted so we can attempt to do some test races. I'll give everyone a group of vehicles to choose from (something simple like 90's FF hot hatches or European FR Saloon's) and we can schedule some test races in the near future (possibly Sunday?) so you guys can get a feel for how this all works and what's involved with prepping cars. If anyone is around this evening feel free to join.

Looks like a good option indeed. 👍 That centre post would drive me wacky though.
Yea, you're right, I'm not a fan of that center post as well. Do you guys have something better?
I'm also thinking to create it myself but I don't find any good (and recent) tutorial on google.
In any case, I have 250€ - 300€ budget for this but if I could spend only 100€ or 150€, I would really appreciate 👍

I think this one is pretty good. Doesn't have a bar between your legs and it's in your price range. I'd highly recommend one without a bar between your legs, I sat in one once and it was absolutely horrible. I couldn't race with one, makes working the pedals difficult and somewhat painful.

I'm sorry guys but I'm not able to race today :irked: I tell you the reason but please don't laugh at me :D
as you know my rig setup is in my living room and our apartment is under the roof.
today is really hot outside and the wife argued with me about my setup produces to much extra heat :banghead:
no I'm not kidding :D
I decided to please her and cancel todays races 👍

I hope you all have great last 2 races in an awesome series which I enjoyed to be part of
and I'm looking forward to further events

Don't know why, but I was very laggy tonight, so I decided to stop the race (Brandon, who was "jumping" back and forward confused me, and I had bumped You a little bit, I'm sorry, but that's because a net problem) ;)

Anyway, I just got back from a holiday with my family :) I decided there to try out the Go-Karts - OH. MY. GOD. What a great experience! Thats was my first real vehicle drive ever, because I'm just 16 years old :D That was so awesome! Great graphics, excellent sounds, super feeling, precise and powerful Force-Feedback and perfect physics xD And what a sence of speed and G-forces!

Driving experience, which I took from virtual driving was huge, I felt really confident in a Kart. I've even made a Day's Best Lap, seriously! :) I got excited and interested in Karting, so I decided to join the Karting tournament in Bydgoszcz, my home city, in 24th July. Im going to train and learn the track on Monday :) Keep Your fingers crossed guys! :D

What an awesome post! Congrats and enjoy, you'll be surprised how much of GT will translate to the real world. Stick with it, you're young enough to make something out of it. 👍

And no worries about the bump.

Small turnout for the finale but we had good fun. I do quite enjoy the track, especially at night, and the Scud was a great fit. Congrats to @amarynceos on slapping his name on the Wall of Champions at the last minute!

Thanks to everyone who came out for the Ferrari Fest. This was one of the most fun series I've ever run, we had a lot of fun, some incredible racing, and made some new friends. I'll have something new for us soon and I look forward to seeing each and every one of you on track again.

Good fun indeed. It was a scrappy win, more a case of @BrandonW77 losing it than me winning it, what with an opening lap crash and a spin in turn one late in the race, but I'll take it! Heck, I've thrown away at least one win with a mistake in the last corners already, so I'm fine with this. :dopey:

Can't believe I forgot to save the replay though. :grumpy:  I wanted to see my evasion of a wild @Cu3e at the Bus Stop!

This has been a really fun series, and I'm glad to have been a part. I feel like I've picked up a bit of speed and while my racecraft might still be rubbish this has helped me to improve somewhat. 👍

Looking forward to the next series.

Scud is a missile right? :embarrassed:

No, I had massive graphics glitch an the huge opening on the track distracted me enough to completely miss the braking point. Good thing there was no contact:tup:

I did not save that replay either...

I had a glitch too, PD has to get it together. Great racing today and thanks to Brandon for putting it together, can't wait for the next big thing.

I've got a room up testing parity with modern Murican muscle with Drex and Bergele, feel free to join.

Edit: Closed.

That was pretty quick I must admit.

I've started using mine in the zero cup but I lost every time on the first lap because driving in packs with a wheel is really hard for me. I'm trying not to hit people and trying not to be too slow because I'm not very fast with the wheel. I'll get better but the next zero cup race is in the Aston Martin v12 vantage :yuck:

Love the car but its kind of quick to be learning a wheel with.

Just received my wheel  :)
After several attempts, I finally managed to map all buttons :)

Brandon, is there a way to make the braking pedal more smooth? I mean I already set the button sensibility to the maximum but I can't make a full brake jauge even when I brake hard. Or I should be entirely stand up on the pedal to do it lol.

The brake is really stiff when you first get it and really hard to push. It will start to wear-in and get a LOT easier to push in a week or two, depending on how much you use it. You can adjust the positioning of the mount which adjusts the length of travel of the pedal. The shorter the length of travel the harder the pedal is to push.

Here's where I have mine positioned, right in the middle. I also moved the pedal plate to it's highest position which adds just a little more length of travel.
