Ok i will send them there if they come here, then i will follow

Once again Congratz to Skeng, Tdz and kossu with the podium.

Had a decent race. Beginning enerved me a lil bit cause i got kamikazed in corners 2 and 3. In the end 6 isn't bad altough i should have held it in front of Karsten if i havent had a moment where i forget braking in lap 36 for some reason..

I do wish to say that the lag-incidents in lap 1 had major influences on the end result of the race, so a restart might have been a better idea.

Le mans should be a cracker with myself 6 points behind Skeng and Flanked another 7 points back if i'm not mistaken.

C u there!

Great race everyone! Skeng, Kossu and TDZ, you were so fast the whole race, well deserved, but how's that Aussie on the podium! You beauty!! ;)

I was lucky to get into this having a shocker pre Q and just missing the top 4, must've still been half asleep :(. Main race though! First lap was a little disappointing, with gueven lagging, I managed to avoid a lot of things getting unto around 8th I think until the corner after the back straight I ran into someone who got spun by Gueven, giving me temporary damage into the pit entry turn, ran wide and lost touch of the front pack :(. After realising that the race wasn't going to be restarted I kept on and had a good solid first stint IMO, too long of a fuel stop there probably put me a little more behind than I would've liked, however keeping consistent had me almost join back unto the top 12 until I ran way too deep into turn 11 few laps later, such a shame lost 5 seconds which is a lot to claw back through my next stint; especially when everyone's lap times were so close at this point, managed to stretch out my second stint quite a bit, making a couple errors unfortunately towards the end though losing my well held 6th (takes a couple of laps to adjust racing in the dark/with headlights, lost a couple of my braking markers), started catching the back of Jona, Karsten, and Logic before having to pit again with 13mins to go. Rejoined out with Snake, Sport and Vicars, what a great little battle this was although (well for me anyway) seemed to cause us to slow us all down a little, I wanted to try and at least get back behind Smiley in 9th but couldn't get a clean enough pass round these guys to start breaking back into the 1:59's with new tyres :( plus a couple mistakes, it seemed we all had slightly different strengths at parts of the track; a solid hold onto 11th I think...

@Pubs16 you have nearly cracked driving these things, you were the driver outside of the top 5 that gave me the hardest time to get past, you're not far from the mark mate so keep on pressing, you'll get there,

Its hard to get past cars that seem to get the majority of their pace from straight line speed, the Lexus, and both Subaru's gave me quite a task trying to get past,

@Stephen Vann, after watching our tremendous battle on the replay my overtake on you in turn 11 looked terribly like a divebomb, I assure you it wasn't, the laps prior i had worked out you brake quite a lot earlier then me there, i just needed to ensure i got a quality exit from the turn 10 hairpin, from that point i was already committed,

I will have a proper report for the stewards for some incidents i feel may need looking at more I'm depth,

They're a lot of fun and I actually really love the BRZ! Having a level prohibited tuning field is definitely helping me adjust so quickly, less variables and keeps it close as tuning is not my strong point still yet :P. I'm glad to hear you think I was dude! I'll take it as a compliment haha, I felt I was almost holding you up, shouldn't have let you pass so easy in the end :P. I can't wait till next season (if there is one) so I can be in contention from the start!

I felt I was almost holding you up,

you were, but I wasn't lapping you so it was all definitely fair game, you never blocked maliciously and were incredibly hard to read on how I could get safely past, I'd have to say the same for Vickars and Sportchip as well, whom I more or less had to wait for them to make a mistake, others after 2-3 laps of following I knew where I was stronger,

I'm just seriously annoyed at the incident in turn 2, I know lag can't be helped, but I don't think I've ever exited the stage faster then that!

Good man, Tdz. To be honest I do know what you mean. I have run around 500 laps at motegi over the last week, as it takes me ages to get fast and not make mistakes , also it allows me to find a way to drive a track that will make tyres last , the Lexus IS front tyre limited , so here softer early breaking and faster exits was best , so I knew i may be vulnerable to full bhp cars at end of straight. Even though my exits were faster maybe . But I never know what is totally clean and not quite clean. I realise you didn't mean to bomb me, but if you had not done that you would have to sit behind me for ages. So I don't know, I drove on Bonnet view so didn't see in
Mirror , also I have put Mike in car sounds to normal , this means I can't hear the other cars close by so well , so I turned into the corner not expecting you to be there but understanding that you were a tad faster than me , so i'm fine with it Dave, it was good battle .Our next series is heavy damage and any contact will he harsh penalties. I think any contact in that series will be a no no , but it's a tough one. Good stuff anyway, and a v good drive mate.

It was't a good race for me. Yesterday came to me Santa :-) I stay in garage instal me new alcon :-) I just could not concentrate. I thought about how I will be tested them tomorrow.
I apologize for mistake in the 3 corner!!!

Hi Guys,

I must say it was an exciting race last night, with a full grid on departure. I had a good start and was able to win some positions on the first lap. Until that Gueven destroyed the approaching horde:banghead:

I was hoping as he was going from one side of track to the other, that he would become transparent when trying to overtake him, big mistake. I was hit by a missile.

But even that kept me still in P6, during the race I made two mistakes, once going to wide and was off track, and second while chasing simely I was drafting him, and during a micro second I was looking how many time was left , and that on an approaching turn (I braked way to late, and out again) The Impreza is a good car, but a little bit slow on the straights.

I had some fun battles ant the end with Pub, Vicars and Sport. But the slightest second you lose here was very hard to catch up. I must say that the level was pretty high. On a 1h30 race, between first and last was barely 1min45 sec I think.

Looking out to the last race of the season 👍

I do think we need to address the problem that arose for some with gueven at the start.
It cause several people problems, Tobias included, and because i think he went off track he messaged that there should be a red flag.
There may have been others that saw the problems and maybe thought the same.

As Tobias was the only one to message, we didnt red flag it, and also we were all so busy on the first few laps as it was manic, for me it was anyway, there seemed to be cars going everywhere.
Unfortunately at the end of qualy i was messaging a Good luck text to everyone before the race, and hit the wrong button that sent me out of the track and into the pit. When i came back i was last position on the grid, which was a shame as i think i qualified around 8th.

After the race it seemed that there may have been others that felt with the lag problems for gueven i think, that we should have red flagged it, but of course unless you are bashed off the track by the laggy car you keep on, not wanting to loose your position by sending a message.

So i thought that we should have a definitive rule about it .
Not sure what it should be but, i think that in the event that more than 1 person messages red flag then it should be red flagged.
This way people would not be worried and lose position by messaging it.
Generally if no one gets pushed off the track we all continue ok.
If one guy gets pushed off by a lagger he should message red flag, and someone else sees this then maybe he should message also.

Not an easy one to sort out but if we had some basic rules that everyone knows maybe it would work better.
Anyone has an opinion on it then be good to hear.

We dont want it to be unclear for the new season.

Hi
sken was a little slower on the straight and a little faster cornering. because i was just behind him. what sken led, or about 40 minutes i remained behind him 1 second the difference between the maximum of 2 seconds. i got close but i could not find any Place of the bypass. and during that time TDZ took us to catch.
I do not know whats out there in the first round went. but i think a bit of contact with motor sports. at the start and the first lap it usually comes in.

We had just 1 driver complaining, i passed gueven and saw him being a bit laggy... If other driver complained or even one other stewards had a voice i would have stopped.

But just 1 when there's a championship to be decided how coulkd i call a restart? What if in restarted race one of those fighting in championship had a crash and the other took a fleeing lead?

Other drivers situations are honestly less important with just one race to go... I mean i am sorry for any issues other drivers had, but for most of us was "just a race".

Also it was impossible to predict for noone complained about gueven lag during the q session...

Yes Karsten, i agree with you totally, just one message you cannot stop.

But everyone is scared to message as if they do they will fall back in the race, and the race still might not be red flagged.

I am thinking for the future,

After the race others mentioned they saw it and maybe the race should have been stopped BUT , noone is going to message and loose their place in the race while messaging.
I am saying that if we have a rule that 2 messages say RED FLAG then we stop ?

One can never be sure but if we have had a restart i dont think Skeng would have won the race. So in theory it sounds nice Karsten but in practice the championship was more influenced by not restarting then it would have been by restarting. Not that it really matters to me but just wanted to point this out :)

Its a difficult one really, From the back it looked like carnage, but i did not see too much that was red flaggable myself.

However even if i had done, the fact that i was making my way through the carnage, means i am not going to slow down and type red flag if i think i will be the only one, and be left right at the back.
I am sure there are others who felt exactly the same.
More input from others would help, would they have messaged RED FLAG if they felt like the race would have been stopped, and how many messages are required thats really ass we need to have in place i think.

It was good to be able to complete the race distance this time out, enjoyed the session.

Practice:
  • Did 3 laps on Sunday, put in a 1:59, left it at that.

Pre-Qualifying::
  • Qualified 4th, and made it up to 3rd early on. From that point onwards I was sitting behind the leaders, matching their pace until I dropped off near the end to guarantee 3rd place.

Race
  • Qualified in 10th, could have gotten a little higher up the field, but I was held up in Qualifying and didn't have the clean air.

Made a strong start and gained a number of places while also noticing that Gueven was lagging badly. Then halfway round the lap there was a spike which took out a minimum of 3 drivers, myself included. I was the least affected but still made note of it in the Race Chat and dropped back down to 12th.

From then on my race was a recovery drive. Had some good but brief battles with Pubs and Vicars (lap 22) but other than that I was simply hotlapping and gaining spots via a strategy that kept me in clean air for the majority of the race. Finished 8th, which after the first lap incident the best I could hope for.

Like the report format PJ, very nice.
Would you have messaged red flag ? if we had a system in place ?

I could have raced for win or top 3 easily, so tobs disturbance was actually far worse thant gueven's lag...

I was about to rage quit too... i spun like 2 or 3 times due to tob's costant writing and harassing, but that would have meant creating an unfair change in the standings.

And i was mad, really really MAD. And i still am up to now...

Concerning red flag, 2 are too few and can be even arranged in case of mistakes or crashes... I would say 3 or 4 is the real minimum.

Again if people said a word during q session...

You wrote in chat? Haven't seen it at all... Maybe it was flooded between tobs shouting at me.

Anyone saw tj message?

On a side note, you could be our series journalist if you made this style race reports ;)
